The absolute worse billing experience of my life. This company continued to send my claims to the wrong address which is a major HIPAA violation and when I would call with my insurance plan on 3-way they would input the correct address only to re-bill to the wrong address again. Also, this company asked if I wanted to set up a payment plan, which I did. The problem with this though is that when I talked with my insurance company they said my patient responsibility is $0. Sadly since they already had my FSA account number they continued to bill without authorization even though they said they'd stop the billing. I am due a refund because my insurance company and I have both paid on a claim. I have been calling every few weeks since July 11th and the issue still isn't resolved.

The billing company is located in the Philippines. I asked how is my information protected, since the have all my personal info. The response made no sense. Really concerned that a data breach could take place., or my information could be sold. After contacting them and asking for a mailed bill, I have been receiving multiple texts and emails about the billing, still waiting on a paper bill. Unfortunately, you have no choice in a radiologist when you have a procedure done because it is a secondary physician. I believe Columbus Radiologists should take better care of our personal information. Once I receive the bill, as I have stated repeatedly to representatives in the Philippines, I will pay the bill. Bill was paid in April 2023, once I received my FIRST bill. Since January 3, 2024, I continue to receive phone calls regarding a past due amount. I phoned the billing number and have been assured by two (2) people I have no outstanding amount. This is a pathetic business. Again, you have no choice when it’s a radiologist. They could do so much better regarding their own billing though .

Adding another 1 star to this company's stellar service. If you call harrassment service. Prior to being called in person to make a payment for a different bill and again today 3/23 being robo called when you are not even open to make a payment on my current bill, I had an prior outstanding bill that I worked on with you in conjunction with my insurance company to straighten out because repeatedly you had submitted the bill to my insurance incorrectly. Now it seems that when I have any outstanding bill this is what I will get, harassment. I will be calling you today and you had best remove me from your robo call system. We pay our bills on time everytime when they are properly submitted to our insurance. This constant harrasment is not needed. Pretty sad I have to give you 1 star becasue you don't deserve it.

ZERO stars if was possible...My story is so similar to the reviews I have read. I have been trying to get them to reimburse me $393.00, because my insurance did pay after all. I have been doing this since February 2021. I too have been told a supervisor will get back to me. NEVER HAPPENED !!! I called the hospital where the service was done and they said there was nothing they could do. I called Ohio Medicaid to report what was happening. They said I need to get a lawyer. Thank goodness there is a lawyer in my family. Thus, they can be expecting legal action to be taken.

In may 2022 I had my mammogram in mercy in Perrysburg, in august I received a bill charging for that test, I contacted them and told them about I have insurance and the day of my test, all was good. The person who answered the phone took all my info and said they will “fix it” Now, January 2023 I receive a bill charging me for that mammogram, that is a preventive test, why???????

August 2020 I had a mammogram at Mercy hospital. I always have my mammograms at this hospital. They were able to receive payment from my insurance company for the service. I received a collection notice from a collection company this year August 10th. The collection company is saying that I owed money for my mammogram from 2020. Mammograms are preventative care and are paid in full by insurance companies. I called the radiology company right away and spoke with Christian and was told that they sent me one bill in September of 2020. They have not reached out to me since then now two years later I'm in collection. I would have taken care of this if I had known. Now they say it is to late to give them the insurance information.

Billing system is jokingly bad. I went to Columbus Radiology Corp. in Obetz, OH in June of 2020. Apparently I was "billed," but never got anything from them and here I am two years later getting a call from collections that I have an outstanding balance that was due. It blows my mind that so many people in the same situation as me have written about this company and they are still getting away with it. To make matters worse, they didn't even bill insurance, so my balance is so much higher than what it should be. They are negatively impacting people's livelihood through their ignorance to do their job right. I hope these people have to pay a lot of money one day for all the people that they have done wrong. Do better Columbus Radiology Corp. Edit: I was contacted by Mitchell D. Bluhm & Associates and the lady I talked to said 99% of their business is from Columbus Radiology Corp! My "debt" was originally $766 and she quickly decided that I only needed to pay $500?

They keep sending threatening text to my phone. But I have full coverage insurance, so I called them. The person I spoke to couldn’t speak English very well nor could she understand English very well. I asked if she could tell me what the bill was about, I gave her my name and phone number. She claimed she found the account but refused and to tell me what the bill was for until I gave her all my personal information. I asked her to send me the bill so I could give it to my insurance company. She was reluctant and was saying something that I couldn’t understand. I repeated that she must send me the bill by mail. She became aggravated. I suspect this is some sort of scam.

Provided insurance card day of service. Got a notice that I was being turned into collections. Immediately called and they verified I had valid full coverage insurance on file but someone from billing forgot to bill my insurance assured me it was handled properly this time. 1 month later 50 pt hit on my credit call again. We are very sorry sir some forgot to bill your insurance but you definitely have full coverage. It's time for a class action lawsuit.

Wish I could give a negative rating. One star is the minimum I can give to leave a review. Avoid any services through this company if at all possible. Had an x-ray and CT scan through Ohio BWC for a work injury. Insurance company paid for the services however Columbus Radiology continued sending me bills saying that my insurance didn’t have me on file and nothing was paid. After no less than 15 calls by me to them to resolve the issues the bills stopped and I assumed it was taken care of. Next thing I know, they sent the bills to collections. Insurance stated this is a common issue with Columbus Radiology and they are trying to “back bill” me, which is illegal. My insurance company is now dealing with them and unfortunately have an employee specifically for issues with this company.

Never received a bill. Alerted 12/1 by email that my past due balance was sent to collections. Wondering if the person who spends all day putting "we're here to help" replies to these complaints might be better used printing and mailing statements? Update: Called today after my account still showed in collections. The first person I spoke with insisted that the case had been reviewed and it was determined that I had, in fact, received both a paper statement and an email. I got neither and I asked to speak with her supervisor. She told me the supervisor was just going to tell me the same thing, but transferred me anyway. Fortunately, the "escalation" rep agreed that I had not received any statements, removed the amount from collections, and allowed me to pay it by phone. I now have an email receipt and yet another promise that this balance will not continue to haunt me, but we will see.

I also have not received a bill in the mail from an X-ray in January. I received an email to pay, but without a bill I don’t know what my account number is. I called them, and asked for a bill to be mailed to me. They had my address, so why isn’t this company mailing out bills? I have not received the bill yet. This billing company is so unprofessional.

I keep getting phone calls and text messages about a "bill I owe" but they will not send ANYTHING in writing to itemize or confirm the bill is legitimate. They don't identify themselves when answering their phones other than "Thank you for calling the billing department." No bill has ever been sent, my insurance isn't showing anything to do with them, neither is my patient chart. It feels like a scam, and the fact that they haven't/won't send a bill to my address on file (I checked the hospital and insurance, both have the address correct) until I confirm my SS#, DOB, and give them my address. Sounds like a lot of what scammers want... If I owe you money, you have it all on file and when I request you to send me a bill to my address on file, that should be the end of it. The office doesn't open until 9AM, but just today I missed calls from them at 8:06am, 8:35am, and 8:49am.

I went to OhioHealth’s emergency department at Polaris and ended up getting a CT scan. I received a bill from Columbus Radiology Corp for $1200. Assuming I just hadn’t met my deductible, I paid it. Then my insurance also paid and I’ve been waiting two months for a refund. I’ve called multiple times and they still haven’t sent my check. I’m shocked OhioHealth would do business with a fraudulent company like this.

If I could give 0 stars, TRUST ME I would. Thanks for jacking up my credit when you were TOLD that I have a lawyer handling this matter due to a hit and run accident and everything has to be handled through my lawyer and my insurance WHICH TAKES TIME. I will go to the fullest extent to go after this company until my credit is repaired. I have no issue filing a lawsuit for something like this. Unbelievable!!

We received a collection from 2019 from Columbus radiology in which they did not send a single bill. No communication from them was ever received. After looking at reviews almost everybody here has the same issue - how is this allowed?! I have filed a complaint with the BBB after contacting their billing department (they are very remote from the business). How can this be allowed to keep happening - it is obviously not an isolated incident !

This company is beyond questionable and I am disappointed that medical professionals are using a service like this for post patient billing. I have made payments on a bill I owed after going to an emergency room in Westerville for the first time (and after the experience I have had I will never go to again if just to avoid dealing with anything like this in the future). Per my account, every payment I have made is mysteriously gone and no payments have been made! I have made every payment on time and have draws from my bank account to confirm as such. When I call I am either left to listen to people chatting in the background and then hung up on or referred to a rep who I cannot understand as unfortunately the English is not that great. Recently, the rep I spoke to just jumped around feeding me any information she could to try and pull a payment from me and stated multiple times that the balances online alter themselves? In what way is this professional and reliable? As a customer, how am I supposed to pay bills if one month I see a balance of $150 and the next a new balance of $478? Recently I have noticed that the doctor changed on my bill and I was apparently seen by a completely different doctor!? When I told her I did not trust leaving my payment information with her and would make my payment when the system apparently updated itself, she promptly told me that there was nothing more she could do and quickly hung up on me. I hope to end this nightmare very soon and have made a mental note to only visit the ER I am familiar with if I can help it.

This place is not willing or able to bill workman's comp of ohio instead sending the bill for service to me personally. I have spoken with their billing department at least 3 times every time thinking that I have cleared up the confusion of where the bill should go but yet again I get a bill in the mail that says we can't find the insurance provider so need to pay for our lack of ability.

My experience with Columbus Radiology is similar to many others. In June, my husband received a check for $78.46, a patient refund for services rendered on March 15, 2017. Yes, 2017! Unfortunately, my husband died in November, 2017. I cannot cash the check. I called the 888 number on the check. I spoke to the service representative who said they would re-issue a check. I forgot to ask what year might that occur! I followed up with a written letter. I have no hope of ever getting the money, but what a joke and what a terrible way to run a business.

Horrible! Paid my small bill in April 2021, they claim did not receive. Provided proof twice where cleared my bank, was told in July would be 3 to 5 days to resolve. Now mid September they claim can’t read amount and want me to resubmit. Like every other reviewer said, this appears to be a scam. A supervisor will allegedly call me this time, though have requested twice and yet to hear from anyone.

It is September 2021. I had a mammogram by Mercy Health on October 10 2018! It is 2021. I received a bill from Columbus Radiology Corp 3 years later. I have called more than once. Not happy at all. Columbus Radiology Corporation claims today, 9.13.2021 they never had my insurance information, yet an "invoice" from them in July 2021 indicated they submitted to my Insurance and this is my responsibility. My insurance confirmed again to me today 9.13.2021 that there is NO record of Columbus Radiology Corporation filing a claim for their services 10.10.2018. Columbus Radiology Corporation had 6 months to file the claim to my insurance. (6 months is the time period for companies to file insurance claims from date of service) None of this makes any sense what so ever. I had a mammogram done as my preventive 100% covered health care. My insurance covers my mammogram 100%. I have never in 20 years of mammograms ever been billed for any portion of my mammogram ever. I believe Columbus Radiology Corporation has internal issues with their billing/insurance claim filing dept, that is outsourced. A former employee mentioned this on another site of reviews of Columbus Radiology Corporation. It is very ery concerning to realize My story is no different than ALL the others anyone can find on The Better Business Bureau, and any review sites on line. A true mess indeed. What to do...what is the next step, why is this happening not only to me, but many many others. Unbelievable. Frustrating more than anything. The worst part is to receive a ridiculous letter from a collection agency or attorney office for something that is not my fault. Check your claim filing procedures Columbus Radiology Corporation. Something is a true miss with this company.

Just received a letter from a debt collector representing Columbus radiology! Been trying to contact the billing department but says offices are closed for whatever reason. I was also transferred 3 times to the same number. I never even received a bill, email, or call regarding what's due from the radiology department. Had service rendered in January, but according to my account online, says I owe nothing ( I paid it off). If this a separate issue, then why haven't I been contacted about this Sooner, but instead sent to a debt collector? Who do I contact??? Or speak to on this matter!? For all I know, it's a scam!

Apparently they use a 3rd party billing agency that 1. can barely speak English, 2. cannot enter insurance information correctly and 3. cannot control the barking dog in the background while you are ATTEMPTING to correct the information. If that's not enough, after your bill is FINALLY paid, their collections department harasses you because the left hand can't figure out what the right is doing.

Avoid at all costs unless you like never receiving a bill and being sent directly to collections. My billing address is different from my mailing address that’s just the way our town works. A year and a half ago I took my son to the ED and he had an x-ray. We received bills from everyone involved in his care since they copied down my physical and mailing address correctly. For some reason Columbus radiology couldn’t figure out the mailing address and I never received a bill. If your going to a medical facility make sure they don’t use Columbus radiology. If they do go find a different facility!!!!

Edit: Reply to “owner” who suggested I call their phone number- this does nothing. I have left multiple messages over the last 2 months with Rufina, a supervisor, who said it would be corrected in 3 business days on 12/6/22. She gave me her direct phone line and I have not yet received a call back. I have spent over 5 months trying to get ahold of someone to correct my bill after I was sent a letter in August of 2022 from Asset Care sending me to collections for an $8.13 bill that was from 11/2019 that they said was sent in April 2020 which I didn’t receive. They agreed over the phone to correct the issue and recognized their mistake and every couple of weeks since August I have left messages and no one can help me fix this issue. Ridiculous.

I have contacted this company 2 times since I paid my bill . They did not do their job as they should. They billed me personally for 162.00 that I paid out of pocket .Note I am on a fixed income . They should have billed my insurance first but did not . My insurance paid them again after I contacted them to bill my insurance and to send back the money I paid them . It has been since May 9 , 2023 I paid them and the service rendered was April 19 , 2023 . I still have not received my 162.00 they owe me . I bet if I had not paid them I would be in a collection agency report . I want them to be reported to a collection agency. I again contacted the Pilipino customer service and they said they mailed out the check for my re imbursement on June 15th and it is now July 6th 2023 still no money . This is unacceptable . This is unacceptable .

Been receiving text messages from Columbus Radiology about payment due for the x-ray services done at the Anderson Mercy Hospital . Then received a actual bill and after calling to resolve this issue. They were not able to provide me the with the physical address of their billing department. I have a feeling that patient information has been compromised by this radiology department. I will take legal actions against them if i receive any collection notice.

They skim results. They leave out stuff that I have had. The things I’ve had forever they say look good. Luckily there are other radiologists associated with my main go to hospital that take more a skimming and actually read the scans! They are horrible. Once or twice recently they claimed I didn’t have pneumonia and I went to the hospital I normally go to and I did have it. I even was admitted when it was really bad. No wonder so many people pass away. They either don’t look at the scans or that skim them and take less than 10 seconds! They differ from other radiologists. They’ve made so many mistakes (verified by having my tests elsewhere).

Called to pay a bill that was being sent to my address for a service I received and they couldn't locate my account anywhere!! I made them send me an email confirming that I made attempts and THEY could not locate my account. They better hope they don't try to post this to my credit! I have proof that I made attempts to pay and THEY weren't able to do anything!!! I will be taking legal action if this is posted to my credit!!!

I have full coverage insurance and it shows paid on my insurance side yet these halfwits are not only harassing me for the full amount but over $100 more than the bills original total. My insurance provider even called them and they still can't get it right.

Ditto to everyone else's experiences. They incorrectly billed my father $738 claiming that Medicaid could not verify he is a patient. They cashed the check, but Medicaid verified they already paid out the claim, and the maximum my father could be billed is $42.50. I have been trying for 5 months to get a refund. Every few weeks, they tell me a check is in the mail, but of course no check is in the mail. I cannot get anyone on the phone who actually solves the issue, and I've never gotten a reply to any email. I've also reported them to the Ohio AG to investigate their billing practices.

Wow, seems my experience all too common. Received a message from a collection agency from services they believe were performed by this company in 2017. Never received an original bill. No help when you call the billing department. Unfortunate 0 stars isn’t an option

  • 1/5 Greg K. 10 months ago on Google
These people are predators. They sold me to a collection agency 6 days after they cashed my full balance check. I had to dog them to inform the collection agency. English is obviously not their native language. Claimed it would take 30 days to research after I emailed a copy of the cancelled check, something that took me only about 5 minutes to find. Actually deserve negative stars.

Had a car accident and wasnt at fault so all bills were to be sent to my insurance which has been done and they have been told that multiple times now. This company is so incompetent its unbelievable. I get calls from this company a dozen times a day when they KNOW what the situation is. They call at 8 at night, they call on Saturdays and Sundays and will not stop harassing me. Cant get through to anyone when i call back and they will not leave me alone. I will NEVER do business with this awful, incompetent company again. Nothing but a nuisance.

Zero, but it won't let you post. Awful customer service. They cannot answer a basic question such as what insurance companies they are in network with. Very difficult to understand the people answering the phones and they do not seem to have a clue. For such a large group of radiologists with state wide coverage this is a joke. It's not as though you as a patient can control who reads your imaging when they are the only group that works for Mercy hospital. Need to escalate issues with Mercy Health system and the insurance commission for Ohio.

Tech was quite nice but not skilled at drawing blood. My veins are easily accessible and she said that too, but could not seem to "stick me" in either arm and finally had to use the top of my hand. Not ideal. MRI was fine and had no problems in that regard. The next issue was billing. My advice is pay in full (if possible) over the phone and get a confirmation number. DO NOT use the website that their system defaults to when logging on - it's some outfit called "doxo" and they charge a 15% "convenience" fee and it doesn't post to your account for 15 days! 15 percent fee to be ripped off. Took me forever to delete the payment. I think it's very sneaky of them to have this be the first payment option that pops up when you log onto their website. Not cool. It's possible to pay directly to the practice on their website but you have to dig into the system to get there. I opted for a human (Prince) and hopefully it will be posted quickly and correctly. It's evident that Columbus Radiology has opted to outsource their billing department since there was much chatter in the background and the rep was very hard to understand. And also hope that I don't get dinged again from the shady doxo payment system. I'll look into other radiology options going forward.

I have had to deal with this company twice now and both times they fail to get it right. First time was incorrect billing for a worker's comp. I was so tired of trying to talk to someone for months, who English is not their native language and only reads from a script, that I just let it go to debt collection. As soon as debt collection was given the info, claim and told the problem..wow problem solved instantly. Now this current bill shows that "patient can't be identified by insurance carrier" they have been given my insurance carrier's name, my member Id number, and my plan number. I actually had to look up and give them the correct billing and claim address for my insurance company, which isn't my job. My insurance has already paid the claim for the xrays done at the hospital. But as per usual, along with the countless other complaints about billing on here Columbus Radiology can't seem to figure it out. This seems more like fraud and trying to extort a double bill than gross incompetence; once from insurance and again from naive unquestioning individuals instead of a legitimate business practice.

God Awful billing!!! Can not speak to anyone in the United States. Was billed, then my insurance paid the bill. Called, was told that it will be sent for review on September 1, 2023. Called again October 23, 2023, told they are still reviewing, called November 7, 2023 - I believe he said he will send it for review. Could not understand the operator, asked for his location and he is in the Philipines. If we ever need to visit an ER again, we will ask who they contract through before if for an injury.

Billing department sucks. Paid my bill, showed proof of payment, not enough information. Not sure how the canceled check front and back isn't enough.
