Our maintenance technician Rob Price did a spectacular job completing the tile work order I had in. He not only was able to fix everything but was professional and took pride in his work and ensured everything was perfect and did everything he could that the tiles would not have to be repaired again with how the shifting ground had cracked them in the first place. Not only did he do the job perfectly but also had the expertise to do it expeditiously and communicated any updates efficiently. One of the best technicians we have had here.

My water heater had an electrical issue. I called in a maintenance request. Ariel showed and saw that a replacement was needed. Even with his left hand in a bandage he removed the old heater and waited for Luke with the new heater. New one installed in a short time. Exceptional service by both individuals. Great customer service.

We put in a request because our garbage disposal was leaking and it wasn’t even 24 hours before someone came to replace it. David Day was very kind and quick. I appreciated that he was able to come so fast and knew what he was doing! Thanks so much!

The latest tech, Ariel Ruiz, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Identified the problem within 5 minutes went back to the shop to get the part and had our fridge working within 45 minutes of arriving!

Today David Day came to my house to replace balast in my master bedroom because the lights didn't turn on. He fix the problem and was polite. He came on time, called before coming to my place and plus took care of a problem that was happening in guest bathroom upstairs. All I have to say is that I was pleased with his services and he went beyond to do his job. Thank you Mr. Day.

We had a small electrical issue that was quickly resolved by Ariel Ruiz! He was great, and even showed us a few tips on how to fix some things ourselves!

This is for David Day. He is a very nice guy who gets his work done while being friendly and will actually talk to you. He will talk about the issue as well if you want to learn about it. My husband loves hearing how we can keep things working.

Honestly I love maintenance here with Hunt. Been here since Feb and every time we call they are prompt and efficient. This time we had to have the float assembly in a toilet replaced. Mr. Day showed up early the next day after we put in the order. He was there for all of 20 min and was out the door with a job well done. Super friendly too!

Mr. David Day replaced our front screen door today while training someone. Bits that I caught seemed from training seemed rather well informed and full of knowledge. Repair was quick and exceeded expectations from what we had prior. Hope that Mr. Day or his counterpart come out for future repairs.

Danny has come to our house twice now for simple maintenance manners. Response time is quick, productive, and very thoughtful! Danny was nice and courteous! The first visit I had to take while on client calls bc I work from home. He was great and patient with me as I worked with him and my client on zoom. The repair work is done quickly and efficiently- we love living on base and the work order response has been awesome! So has the staff!

David Day came to our rescue at 1 am when our smoke alarm malfunctioned and started setting off every alarm in the home waking up our littles. Professional and kind! Worked fast and as quietly as possible to keep them asleep after finally getting them back to sleep.

Danny was very professional, wore boot covers without complaint on request, changed out our lights that had all gone out over the last few months, all in all 10 minutes start to finish.

Absolutely abhorrent behavior by their lawn care-takers. Not only did they weedeat through my garden, killing multiple plants, they decided to weedeat our blowup waterside, popping it in multiple places, and then took no responsibility whatsoever. I asked that they took partial responsibility, and covered half the cost of a new one, and they absolutely refused. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for housing. They will ruin everything you have outdoors.

Mr. Day repaired the screens on our porch that had been damaged by a recent storm. He not only repaired the screens that had obvious damage, but inspected all the screens, replacing an additional section of screen where the wood frame was rotting and needed replacement. He was courteous, professional and efficient and left the back area spotless when he finished his work. Outstanding job!

MR. Rob Price came and helped us out on base within a 5 to 10 call!!! He was extremely helpful with fixing my hot water issue and explaining why it did what it did. Then he also helped me; without hesitancy, with another minor fix that I just randomly asked for while I had him here. I enjoy the workers for hunt housing here in the Charleston air base

I put a work order in for my toilet fill valve not working. Ariel Ruiz came out when I wasn’t home and fixed it! He always noticed my front door deadlock was getting stuck. Which I didn’t put a work order in for that. He took the initiative to fix it. Ariel gave me a 5 star experience which I could say I haven’t had that from anyone else from the maintenance department. Thank you again Ariel and keep up the good work! Look forward in having you back for any future concerns.

Housing Office has great staff. Honest, seemingly open, and dispensed good advice for our needs. Very pleased (not a review for Hunt Privatized Housing Office)

The Hunt Staff bent over backwards to accommodate us. They processed our application within 24 hours and kept in touch with us during the process. They answered all our questions and made sure we had all information needed for us to complete the lease signing process. We are strong believers in positive customer service and thus staff exceeded all expectations. Thanks for all your help. We have lived in three Military housing units (Different areas of the country) and so far Hunt and JCB maintenance is number 1. They have communicated with us almost within and no longer then 24 hours. So far our requests have been completed or scheduled with 7 days of move in. In the past we have had to fight, or threaten to call post/base commanders to have work completed. In one case they told me to do the work ourselves. So far not here. We want to Thank the entire Hunt Team for assistance after the mandatory evacuation. 1. Maintenance Team, they arrived as scheduled to repair damage to our screened in porch. Thanks for keeping on schedule and the professional work. 2. Davey Lawn Team, even as busy as they were after the storm, they worked with us to collect all the downed limbs, leaves etc. Thanks Great Job. 3. Hunt and JBC housing offices, provided information needed to complete our insurance claim for food we lost cause of the power outage. Thanks, the claim was approved and paid. As we have stated earlier, living on other installations over the years, we have encountered problems with housing issues and had to fight to have the issues corrected. We are thankful for all the assistance we have and will receive. We want to Thank Ian and Luke for their combined effort to resolve the problem with our heat pump. The motor blew late on Saturday night, and Ian made the trip out at 10:30 pm (2030) to see what was the problem. Very soon there after Ian and Luke installed the new motor. We appreciated the continuous communication between the maintenance office and us. We appreciate the professional service these gentlemen provided and the continued effort by the Housing office maintenance office. Thanks to Shawn and crew for keeping their promise to replace the door on our screened in porch. The door is made from quality materials and a perfect fit. Luke installed it without any problem.

The 3 stars are for the house and property, NOT the staff. The staff in the front office and the maintenance crew were amazing and went out of their way to do what they could for us while we lived there. They were always friendly and they treated our children like they were their own and looked out for them. This review has nothing to do with professionalism and communication with JBC Housing personal because it was always top notch. I would give them 5 stars any day. I believe the issue deals with the policies and procedures of the Hunt company. When we moved in, the house was clean but not as clean as we left it. We were told when we moved in, that the last tenants literally had rats running through the garage just to put it in perspective. We scraped about a half inch of grease off of the cabinets and above them. Had to clean out all the inside of the cabinets and drawers and clean out the dishwasher. The backyard did not have a bunch of grass, the screen door was missing a screen as well as the hydraulic door closer was broken. The carpets upstairs were replaced but not the stairs(I believe) and all the air vents were dirty and destroyed (bent and broken). When we moved out and had the move out inspection done we were charged around $585 dollars for certain things that I didn't agree with but was so spent(physically and emotionally)that I didn't feel like arguing about. We spent almost 3 days cleaning the house, scrubbed the cabinets, floors, floor boards, counter tops, air vents(missed one) etc. Steamed cleaned and scrubbed the microwave, stove, dishwasher, walls floors and had the carpets cleaned. When they came to inspect the house they charged us to clean the microwave again because there was a speck of dirt on it, the oven(honestly don't know why), dishwasher, replace the carpet on the stairs, replace a blind and at first tried to charge us $350 to reclean the whole house, I did argue that and it was dropped to $125. We purposely left cleaning supplies there incase we needed to touch anything up and was not given a chance at all to rectify it. I don't believe it was the individuals doing the inspection but what Hunt wants their employees to do. They really went straight to the items that they knew they could charge us for and nothing else. To us it was Hunt just nickel and diming us. You pay way to much for the quality of house you get. During our stay, we had mold in the house and they did come fix it but it came back. The dishwasher wouldn't drain and left stagnant water that didn't smell nice. When they came to fix it they said there was nothing they could do but we had to run it every couple days to "keep the water fresh". They fixed the air vents in one of the rooms twice and it kept breaking/falling out of the floor. We had two lights fall out of the upstairs ceiling and when they came to fix it said it was installed wrong. the laundry room doors were fixed twice and then fell again, doors in the master bedroom bathroom fixed and fell again a week later. I don't believe this was the maintenance personals fault but the builders doing a fast and bad job constructing the houses.

The new houses are great. Getting maintenance to fix things not so great. My dishwasher has broken 3 different times and now they are finally talking about replacing it. They do this preventative maintenance on the HVAC system.... At least that's what they call it where ask they do is spray the outside unit down, look at a couple things in the garage, and leave. Not sure what actual maintenance they're doing. But, they do come by for that, no one has come to clean the gutters, which seems like a small meaningless thing. But, ask that flooding rots the wood. I've been given a notice over phone about a children's trampoline in my back yard when just down the road still sits a large trampoline. When you call in about anything, you get someone that doesn't know anything about what your need is, the trash/recycle truck will drop stuff on the ground and leave it, usually smaller items. Outside of all that, the people, when you finally get to meet them, are nice and respectful. The housing office does things randomly for the whole family, the area is quiet. I reckon as long as you and yours can be very patient about requests, it's pretty good. Lastly, being an 11 year service member. I feel there should be a separation between us and the students. Just makes things awkward trying to talk to them.
