This place has really gone downhill. I took photos today, but the prices are this bad every time I go there. Once in a while, you find a gem at a price that makes sense, but they think that anything vintage is worth money, even if it’s broken, glued back together, dirty, stained, missing pieces, etc. It’s like they look things up on Etsy/EBay to see how much they’re worth in perfect condition and then price just slightly less, even if the item is trashed and wouldn’t sell for $1. Today I also saw a burnt candle from Target that costs $5 new at Target (I bought the same one there a couple weeks ago), but also $5 used. Doesn’t make any sense. Do better, “Value” Village.

They ask for too much money for what your getting! Considering it was DONATED to them in the first place, they should be HELPING those out that come to their stores when they are usually NEEDING the items and LIVE at or below poverty! No wonder why there is SO MUCH THEFT GOING ON. I saw 3 people RUSH out the doors with employees yelling at them! Their return policy is even worse! They only except exchanges! And that's only for 14 days!!! Should be able to ACTUALLY get return with reciept the first 14 days.... Then maybe restrict it to exchanges. Though what employees ARE there they are very helpful , nice, and keep the store well maintained. To summarize it the organizations greedy and make sure to take all your money with sweet smiling faces. What happened to helping those in need, and the community? 🙈🙉🙊?

I love to shop at second hand stores…. I really like value village because there is a large variety of everything. I can’t believe how high the prices are!! It blows my mind!! I found a pair of Nike leggings for 12.99. This is just crazy it’s a secondhand store it’s supposed to be a reasonable price for people that don’t have a lot of money to purchase clothes. I can go to Ross and buy a pair of leggings for 8.99 brand new. They need to do something about this. It’s Ridiculous!!

NO FITTING ROOMS AND NO RETURNS. This location has no fitting rooms, yes they have a 14-day exchange policy but that's not good enough when you can't even try things on. No cashiers, self-checkout only, and way overpriced. They should be charging less when they aren't paying anyone to manage the fitting rooms and work the registers, not charging more. I've loved shopping at Value Village for decades and it's too bad this is what their stores have become.

No wheelchair accessible stalls in women's bathroom, bathroom door is heavy and not accessible. They no longer have dressing rooms, which makes shopping for clothes a lot harder. Some items seem overpriced, but a decent selection. I was disappointed to find out that they don't put coats out for sale during the summer, and they no longer have a section for suitcases.

I attempted to visit & shop at this Value Village today and I was rudely met at the door by 2 employees that said, "Nope, You're not going to shop here with us today. We have that right." Well that's extremely ridiculous!! Im not sure if they're confused about where they work because I was under the impression that their a USED clothes/items store!?!!?? Their donated items are supposed to be affordable for people that maybe can't afford to buy brand new things. But I was turned down of that luxury today. Thanks to our local value village!! I feel bad for someone that's worse off than me and might REALLY need something warm to wear, but only has a few dollars to their name, to help them survive these extremely cold winter days and nights that are right around the corner. It's just sad. Where are people's minds these days!???

This place seems to be very popular. It is quite crowded every time I stop here. Makes browsing a pain sometimes. No dressing rooms, so that is a negative. Certain aisles are seemingly narrow making it hard to get past people. Self check out only.

One star but understand that I still come here all the time, because a thrift store is still a thrift store and I like hunting for hidden treasures. I do find things worth buying pretty regularly. Compared to other thrift stores in the city though... No dressing rooms, no returns exchange only, have to have an employee unlock the bathroom for you, overpriced on many items and it's very inconsistent. So it's the worst one. My favorite thing about this store is when I have a LOT of donations they're generally the least picky and they're helpful with unloading. We had to do a Massive declutter when our hoarder ex-step-mother-in-law moved out and left most of her stuff for us to deal with, they took 90% of what we brought (several truckloads over several weeks!)

The new store is clean and spacious, but...There are no fitting rooms, the parking lot is very cramped and hard to navigate, and the prices are insanely high! You are better off looking on the clearance racks at the malls. I'll probably only return during sales.

I’ve been shopping here since it was reasonably priced (like 10+ years ago) and have never tried to return/exchange anything. Recently, since they did away with changing rooms, my daughter bought some clothes and they didn’t fit, so I tried to take them back. We lost the receipt but tags were still on the clothes and they were in the same condition as when purchased - all the things their website says are necessary to exchange - and they wouldn’t return/exchange any of it. I took the $50+ in unusable clothes (3 pairs of jeans. 🙄) and donated them down the street at goodwill. Careful shopping here, especially for clothes!!

The new location is nice inside but there isn't enough parking. There are no fitting rooms so I ended up putting most of my stuff back because I'm not going to buy things I can't try on. PLEASE PLEASE GET A FITTING ROOM!

I will never come to this place again! The only reason why I gave it an extra star is because the employees were so nice and helpful. It's not their fault value village as a business has gone down hill. Now the bad. I went in to get pants, I have lost a lot of weight after having my baby and needed to find something that fit. Unfortunately I have no idea what size I am now and they don't have fitting rooms. So I bought the size I thought would fit me and got some discounts for signing up with their program. I tried them on in their bathroom and of course they didn't fit so I had to return them. Now it's not a simple return, oh no. They want you to find whatever you want to exchange them. Fine! So that's what I did. Didn't get my discounts so even though the pants I got were the same price I still had to pay more. This whole ordeal was very emotional for me. As any woman would understand. So I got the new pants. Didn't try them on and left. I will never go back to value village because I do not need the emotional rollercoaster it put me through just to try to find something that fit and didn't cost an arm and leg.

They are overpriced, no longer offer fitting rooms (Goodwill does), don't have human cashier's anymore, and they don't do returns only exchanges. How are you going to offer no fitting rooms and not take returns. If you shop here, at the very least don't buy clothes here. Costs almost as much as buying new anymore.

This place is going downhill very quickly, everything is unbelievably overpriced. I found this tupperware a couple days ago, it would literally cost me less to buy things new. I used to go to value village every week, and I was fiercely loyal of the store. Today after donating clothes (because I wasn’t able to return it) the cashier wouldn’t let me scan my discount card, even though it was sitting on the counter at the time of purchase. She explained I could “use it next time.” There’s not going to be a next time, I’m not ever coming back.

Some of the items do come at a relatively cheap price. But what kind of retail environment that sells clothes doesn't have a fitting room. They just told me, and I quote, to "either exchange it within a 14 day period or hold it up in front of a mirror." Ah yes because when I shop for pants, I too rely on eyeballing my size range and guessing what fits. Oh and it's all self checkout apparently so I don't know who's an employee and who isn't. They just blend in with the shoppers so I can't even figure out who to ask for help. Oh but some of the items do come cheap so I guess there's that. 🙄

My secret that's not a secret. I can drop small bucks and walk out with a lot of clothing and the rare one off trinket of piece of furniture. Always worth popping in and seems to have more than expected.

Rating one star specifically because post COVID they refused to bring their dressing rooms back and have a no return policy. So, if your clothes don't fit correctly or look good, you just got screwed out of every penny you spent. This used to be my favorite thrift from New Mexico to Washington and now their new policies have made them the worst. Won't be wasting my money gambling on their clothes. (FYI-they're a for profit company, which makes it worse.)

The manager is either very ignorant or he's simply hating on my happy. "We don't allow scooters in here, we never have." Well that's kinda odd given the fact that I've been here twice in the past month with this same exact scooter. " I've been here for two years so that's just not possible. You'll have to lock it up outside. " How the heck am I supposed to lock a kick scooter up?

I live thrift shopping so much and this is a great one, great location. Excellent service decently priced and lots if name brands and sizes. Tons of hone decor, as well as accessories for yourself or as gifts or even for your home! Must check it out if you ask me and love a bargain on gently used items!! Be sure to bring that box/bag of stuff you've been meaning to get rid of it is a donation center also! You're welcome.

My first time here at this particular Value Village. It has also been a long while since I have visited any of the Value Villages. I was very shocked and very disappointed to find out that it is now a "Self Checkout" establishment, as well as all Value Villages. I am not a cashier. Who's job was replaced by these machines? I won't be returning until the cashiers return. Also, I think that it should be mandatory for stores that are self checkout to post a notification on their front entrances...

The pricing at this new location is ABSURD!!! I'm aware that this is the case for most thrift stores nowadays, but this location is the worst! IT'S ABSOLUTELY INSANE, especially the clothing and shoes! As a single mother, I rely on thrift stores, for clothing and most everything. I never buy new and I don't care about brands. I went to look for some winter clothing, at this new location. I couldn't find a sweatshirt under $10. Even the cheap $5 crewnecks from Walmart were priced around $10! Jeans and shoes were all $12-20! There were multiple coats priced at $69-80!!! I spent a good hour searching for anything, but left with nothing!!

I came to purchase some summer clothes for work. I intended to try them on...only to be told by an employee that there are NO fitting rooms!! What?!!? I was also told their return policy is store credit only! I only purchased one item (out of 8) as I knew it would fit. The checkouts are now self-checkout. Very disappointing, impersonal shopping experience. (I went down to UGM Thrift Store and purchased what I needed instead, as they have fitting rooms and real humans checking out customers. I will be shopping there from now on.)

Would not shop here. No dressings rooms. The girl desiree told me I could return within fourteen days. I get there to return and I guess it has to be an exchange not a return. I had no time to search for an item with the exact same price that also fits. Not a good system and everything is kinda overpriced. And weren't understanding or wanting to help me at all. Some nice stuff but goodwill is the same for cheaper and has dressing rooms.

They have moved from their old location on Boone. Everything is shiny and new looking. They still have the grab bags that Iove so dearly.

  • 3/5 Davey R. 1 year ago on Google
This is a nice new store. The employees are great. The location is a little out of the way. The parking lot is horrible and will probably cause a lot of headaches. They are overpriced so take advantage of any discounts you can. Still some wonderful finds to be found. The donation people are very nice. It's great to get a thank you and the offer of a coupon for your sentimental items when you're barely acknowledged as human at Goodwill donations. Also they will take anything and flip it lol. I would give it two stars because they are so overpriced but the employees earn it one more.

During Covid the dressing rooms were understandably closed, but now Value Village still doesn’t have them in their new location. This is just unacceptable! I am not willing to go through the hassle to find maybe something, pay for it, take it home, try it on, and then return it!!! Not for money, but for credit. It’s a ridiculous policy. You will likely lose a lot of business. Disgruntled customer, Carol Colpitts

  • 2/5 Jonathan R. 1 year ago on Google
Sucks compared to the old Boone location. No fitting rooms, no bathroom, prices are way higher, and its so overcrowded. The building is way too small. Feels like I’m gonna catch covid while I shop here from the person shopping annoyingly close to me. Smells worse than the Boone location too.

I've been shopping there for years now. And I always find fantastic stuff. From pants to dishware they've got it all. It's easy to be there for long times. That's because there are hidden treasures throughout the store.

  • 1/5 Marianna F. 1 year ago on Google
Their policies have become ridiculous!!!! The prices for donated clothes are unbelievably high, for example $35 for a used dress? Really? And yet there is no fitting rooms to try it on and the return policy is 14 days and ONLY in store credit! Will never shop there again and will advise everyone I know not to shop there as well...

  • 2/5 Jason T. 1 year ago on Google
Well if you want to be followed from entry to exit like you are at Walmart and pay new prices be your own cashier then stopped on way out to make sure you did their job 👍

Lot's & lot's of stuff to check out. Store was clean, some merchandise was dirty but could be cleaned up. Good deal on kids clothes, however some of the woman's clothing was way over priced. Still lot's of cool stuff some good deals some not so much. Will go again.

  • 4/5 Renee S. 2 years ago on Google
The only downside was the dressing rooms were closed. However, they do offer 14 day return policy (see your receipt). I will definitely be shopping there for clothes!

Always fun to come to Value Village. Nice staff, clean store, interesting merch... And they recently updated the checkout system so you can check out yourself! Much faster than before. Love this place!
