    Tony is an excellent coach. His passion for training is evident in everything he does; from the moment you meet him and the time he takes to understand your goals, to the patience he has in each session, especially making sure you have perfect form and an understanding of the science behind the movement. I’ve seen great progress in just 3-4 months, and I have a greater appreciation for the process because of his coaching style. Super fun and good humoured, Tony has created a non-intimidating environment to train. The whole team is friendly, approachable, and make you feel like you belong. They meet you where you are and inspire you to be better. I cannot recommend Sandbothe Strong enough: whatever your goals, they can help with the training plan, the nutrition, the motivation, and the fun.

    Alex is an excellent trainer. I’ve been training with him for 2 years. We started out and built a solid strength base. When COVID hit, we took the workouts to online, Alex was very creative. Eventually we made it back to the gym, and to this day I’m still learning new things from Alex. When I’m traveling, we still do the occasional video training session, and even when I’m working out on my own, I appreciate the confidence Alex helped me build, in addition to the muscles. Thanks so much, Alex! 🏋️‍♀️

    Tony and his wife are such incredible trainers! I had hurt my back when I retired from competing on the WTA tour as a professional tennis player. I used to love lifting really big and heavy weights and had not been able to for years until I met Tony. With his unique technique and years of experience, I lift heavy again, safely! The gym is a fantastic family of very diverse people of all walks of life. Everyone is welcoming, encouraging and has your back, literally!

    I've been training with Tony for over 3 years. When I first started, I knew nothing about strength training. The thought of going to a trainer was intimidating and I wasn't sure if I'd go more than a few sessions. I quickly realized what a fantastic trainer Tony is and immediately began feeling stronger. I'm hooked and recommend him to everyone. He's amazing.

    SO grateful to be able to workout in such an inclusive and supportive environment! I've been working with Alex for a little over a year, and he is an amazing trainer! His drive and dedication are unmatched! He has made a more confident in the gym, and in my capabilities! In fact, I've lost OVER 80 pounds in my first year at Sandbothe! I cannot thank Alex enough!

    Nothing but good things to say about working with Tony. So much so that I have felt the need to recommend a bunch of my close friends and family to him. I really appreciate that Tony has extensive credentials in strength training as well as actual experience competing in Olympic lifting, strongman and powerlifting at a high level. This dude is an absolute beast and it is great knowing that I am learning from somebody who actively practices what he preaches. Tony can thoroughly explain in a way that makes sense to a beginner such as myself how to do a movement, why we do that movement, and what ways we benefit from doing that movement. His deep personal experience sets him apart from others in the field of personal training. I’m excited to keep working with Tony as he has completely reset my expectations around how strong and fit I can actually become.

    I've been working out with Tony for about 9 weeks and the results are insane. He is no BS and helps you work towards your goals in a way I have never experienced with a coach/trainer. However, don't waste your money or time if YOU are not truly ready to put in the WORK. He will rightly fire you. Most importantly, I feed Tony tacos at least 1.5x week and the results are clear: He is my greatest creation.

    Tony is a fantastic coach/trainer. I was looking for someone to help me with strength conditioning after a bad MCL injury. He took the time to understand what I was looking for and set up a specific plan for me to succeed. I came in with a max squat of 225 lifetime and within 5 months hit 315. Through his coaching, instruction, and guidance I have been able to successfully build my strength and knowledge. Great atmosphere and you can't beat his taste in music. Would recommend to anyone!

    Alex is an amazing personal trainer. He is super knowledgeable and caring and not at all judgmental or intimidating. He trains both me and my husband and I’ve noticed that he tailors his approach to our different personalities to get us to reach our full potential. He’s also very diligent about correcting my technique to prevent injuries with lifting and has an amazing depth of knowledge about physiology. I’ve been having a lot of neck and back pain from my work and he quickly diagnosed weakness in specific muscle groups in my upper back and recommended exercises to do to strengthen them. I would highly recommend Alex if you are looking to invest in making yourself healthier and stronger.

    I am having an amazing experience training with Tony! His approach is science-based and customized to each client’s specific goals and needs. He is kind and empathetic, and truly invests in his clients. He is a caring and understanding person, and not intimidating to work with. Training with Tony is fun, positive for metal and physical health, and a great way to connect to a healthy community. I encourage everyone to train at Sandbothe Strong! It’s been a great investment in my personal health and well-being, and I plan to continue training here as long as they’ll have me. If you’re on the fence about making an appt— just do it! There’s no way you’ll regret it.

    I’ve been training with Tony for a little over 6 months & it’s been the best experience with a trainer I’ve ever had. He has a gift for seeing someone’s potential and still being able to work with them exactly where they are at; he’s been able to take what I want to accomplish & push me towards what he knows I’m capable of. The gym is a great environment: welcoming & authentic with the perfect mix of support & trash talk. Training here is a great choice.

    I’ve been training with Alex for 9 months now, starting without an athletic bone in my body, very nervous and unsure how to navigate and gym and with his guidance have really grown to love weight lifting through this place. The trainers here help you push your limits, achieve your fitness goals, and do it surrounded by good people. Training here is a awesome, this is a very welcoming gym environment for all shapes and sizes!

    Tony is a fantastic trainer and an even better human. I was apprehensive when I started because I could barely lift my shoulder above my head. But, five months in, I have complete flexibility. He does a great job explaining his training methods and constantly rotating his workouts, so it never gets boring.

    I’ve been training with Tony for almost a year now, and appreciate his goal oriented and thoughtful approach to training. I started going with my husband to prep for our wedding; I had no real experience with free weights and Tony made it approachable, easy to learn, and fun. It’s been 2 months since our wedding - we reached our weight goals and are continuing our fitness journey with Tony! I love the feeling of strength and accomplishment his training has given me over the past 11 months. The atmosphere he, his wife, and Alex create as trainers in the gym is low-key, friendly, and zero pressure, which is what keeps me motivated to keep coming back. They are a stark and welcome contrast to the big, commercial factory gyms I was used to going to. Tony provides a personal touch to training that I hadn’t received from other personal trainers at those larger gyms.

    Tony is the best trainer I’ve ever worked with. He knows how to push you to do your best on any day, and is super knowledgeable about the science behind training. Plus he’s a funny guy who makes every session very enjoyable!

    Working with Kristin at Sandbothe Strong, I've made leaps of improvement in my physical and mental well-being. Her encouraging coaching style pushes me to improve every time we train and the progress makes me excited for the next training session. Kristin's expertise in form and thoughtfulness in technique increases my confidence and physical ability beyond my limiting mental beliefs. She knows her stuff and makes training approachable! If you're ready to commit to and be consistent with your fitness at any level, Kristin is the trainer to work with. I highly recommend scheduling with Kristin!

    I started to train to elevate pains and aches that come with living an active life. I am pain-free now. Alex is wonderful trainer who individualizes the training as well as being careful in thwarting injuries. The vibe of the gym is positive and supportive to all ages and ability levels.

    Tony and the staff at Sanbothe are always great and helpful. They've helped me achieve goals and become more confident. Training here has been a breathe of fresh air from prior gyms, and I cant wait to see what goals I can accomplish next. Definitely a good place for any level and goals.

    Tony and his team are definitely the best in the business. I was a division 1 athlete in college and have seen several strength trainers, athletic trainers, physical therapists, chiropractors and medical doctors and none of them have helped me as much as Tony. His understanding of the musculoskeletal system helps me feel better from my back pain and helps me gain strength I had lost due to pain I had. Tony and his team are also extremely personable. They make you feel welcome and supported while challenging you to achieve your goals. I highly recommend Sandbothe Strong to anyone and everyone, of all fitness levels, who is looking for help and guidance with strength training.

    I’ve had the pleasure to be Alex Villarreal’s client this past year and even through remote trainings, his knowledge and passion shines through. I’ve never worked with anyone who could explain as well as Alex did as to why I wasn’t seeing the results I wanted to see. Im an avid competitor volleyball player and ever since working with Alex, I can see tangible improvements in my volleyball games. Following his nutritional plan has helped me immensely alongside with his customized trainings to ensure progress was being made. I cannot recommend Alex enough.

    I came to him with one goal which was fix my back enough to stop needing pain killers and not get surgery which was my next step. I have been to multiple personal trainers, acupuncturists, chiropractors and doctors, with no true long term hope besides a subscription based pain relief. However, Tony has been able to help turn my life around drastically. A majority of what I do for work is driving, and now I rarely ever feel pain. And if I do he has given me the necessary knowledge to know how to immediately correct it. If you have pain or just want to get stronger or just have an amazing person as your trainer, Tony is the man to see.

    I have been training with Tony for a few months now. I have never done strength training in my life and was somewhat intimidated when I started. Tony spent the first visit explaining how his program works, evaluating me and helping me to feel comfortable. He is very encouraging and has helped me to feel supported. I like the fact that this is a family business and I feel welcome there. I would highly recommend Tony and Kristin to anyone.

    I’ve been training here for ~7 months and am constantly impressed with Tony’s encouragement, flexibility, kindness and humor. In one of our first sessions, we talked about why I wanted to start training more seriously — I told him it was to get stronger and learn proper technique & form to gain the confidence to go to the gym on my own. I can confidently say, that not only do I have more confidence but the training so far has given me the tools I need to start training outside our 2x sessions a week. Looking forward to continue working out at Sanbothe Strong and maybe even trying to compete in a powerlifting competition in the near future 😉

    Three months in and I’m already stronger than I’ve ever been. I train with Darius and he’s outstanding. It was my first time doing traditional weight training and he made me feel comfortable and supported every session, constructively correcting my technique and encouraging max effort. He efficiently put a plan together to get me stronger and I’m honestly amazed how much better I feel holistically. I look forward to it week after week. Highly recommend Darius and Sandbothe Strong, try it out and give it your all!

    Alex is a fantastic trainer. Although I've been lifting since high school, I would never imagined that I was capable of putting up the numbers that I currently am. I've made huge strength gains while avoiding injury. Additionally, everyone at the gym is very likable. I've always left the gym in a much better mood than when I entered.

    Before I started training with Alex, I was going to group fitness classes somewhat regularly and seeing minimal results. I didn't have much experience with personal trainers or strength programs and was a little intimidated to give it a shot. In nine months, I've seen huge improvements in my strength, athleticism, and overall confidence — and I've learned a ton along the way. Alex is very in-tune with how to motivate his clients and adapt advanced training systems to their specific needs — even when they're recovering from injuries. I'll be training with Alex as long as I can!

    Alex is a phenomenal trainer and I can’t recommend him, and this gym, enough. Before I started training here, I had tried lifting on my own a few times, but always wound up hurting myself and would have to call it quits after just a couple of months. It’s been a completely different experience since I started working with Alex almost a year ago. He creates challenging workouts, but always ensures they are done with proper technique. His programming makes sure that weak points are appropriately targeted so you really see quick progress. If you’re interested in getting into shape and getting stronger, definitely make an appointment with Alex!

    If you are looking for a strong, compassionate, and fierce trainer, go do yourself a favor and hit up Kristin. She has taught me so much about the importance of proper form and technique since we've started training about two years ago. She's incredibly knowledgeable and I appreciate how each session is intentionally tailored towards helping me grow stronger and more confident, both inside and outside the gym.     This is a small but great gym. Alex is hands down the best trainer I’ve ever had, he’s great at know when to push and when to stand back. So far I’ve had great results working with him and look forward to continued progress towards my end goals.

    I've been training with Alex, he is incredibly knowledgeable about physiology and strength training, and he clearly has a passion for teaching. He is very patient and he's able to explain things in an intuitive way. Most importantly for me, he is diligent about teaching proper technique to prevent injury and he is able to tailor workout plans that accommodate my prior back injuries. I've been very satisfied with his coaching and I can't recommend him highly enough.
