Everyone at Westside was truly amazing. I was referred by a friend after my dog become really sick suddenly and we were in between veterinarians. I was afraid we wouldn’t get an appointment on short notice, but we did. They let me bring my dog in that day and treated her well, explaining every step of her treatment plan. Crisis averted, and she is doing really well. This will now be my vet. It’s so nice to know your pet is being well cared for and treated with the same love and respect the staff would have for their own animals. Vet bills can be expensive, so it was also appreciated how transparent they were about the true cost of care. I’m just really grateful for their help and professionalism.

My family started with Westside Animal Hospital 40 years ago when we got out first family dog. When I moved back to Durham and got my first dog, I knew exactly where I was going for his care. My Labrador Retriever absolutely LOVES going to Westside Animal Hospital - all of the staff are wonderful with him, know him on sight and have been amazing with their information, options and care. I find them extremely reasonably priced, also make sure to offer rebates, etc. and are respectful of my decisions on options for his care. I recommend them to anyone looking for pet care!

The technician and doctor were very professional and knowledgeable. My cat was able to relax for most of the appointment because they were so gentle with her. I was nervous to bring her in to a new vet, but I'm not nervous to bring her back here.

Meeting Dr. Jessica, and her assistant Kaitlin, at Westside Animal Hospital was a genuinely positive experience, both for me and my cat. I needed a second opinion for Jagger, and I am so happy that I choose WAH, which right away became my pets’ primary care givers. Dr. Jessica and Kaitlin took such great care of my cat, and gave him a thorough examination, which they then explained and documented in detail. Jagger loved them, and I highly recommend them :-)

A small, local NW vet clinic that has been so good to us and our two dogs. They are always excited and loving towards our animals, and jump to action in an emergency. They have even made very last minute arrangements for early morning visits when our dogs have been very sick. They are aware of and actively take measurements to clean and sanitize their offices, especially during the height of the recent dog flu wave that hit the area this last summer. Highly recommend if you live in the N-NW Durham/Hillsborough area!

My dog, Sadie, was having diarrhea for 5 days and my vet could not get her in to see them. I called Westside Animal Hospital, they had an appointment the next day. We went in for the visit. walked into the treatment room and there was a couch! Which Sadie promptly made herself comfortable on! Sadie is a very nervous dog and the vet techs and doctor were absolutely wonderful with her. I’m very glad we made the switch to Westside Animal Hospital.

The doctor was kind, concerned, sympathetic, knowledgeable, classy and caring to my cat and me. He didn't rush me and answered all questions. The assistant was just as caring , and knowledgeable to my cat and me. The front desk are kind and answer all questions , and the whole staff also made me feel welcome. This office is a very ethical practice with top notch classy workers.

Extremely thorough initial exam our Golden Retriever head to paws, and nicely explained in every detail. This being our first visit to this practice, we really feel a very high degree of confidence in ALL the staff, which appear to work so efficiently well together! Thanks West Side!

When I called for an appointment, the reception staff heard the urgency of my cat’s situation and scheduled me for earliest available appointment that same day. When we arrived, my cat and I were taken to a clean and welcoming examination room right away. Both the vet technician and the veterinarian were very patient and gentle with my cat as they were examining and treating him. My cat Julian is generally well behaved at the vet, but he is prone to nervousness. The staff’s calm demeanor helped Julian remain calm himself. I also found the services quite affordable, and even the quotes for a senior cat blood panel were reasonable. I appreciated my experience and Julian’s care so much that I recommended West Side to a friend and they were also seen that day. I will gladly take Julian back to receive further veterinary services.

Great experience! I took my sweet boys for a wellness exam and vaccines and the receptionist, vet tech, and vet were all amazing! They answered all my questions, gave great recommendations and were great with my cats!

A very warm, friendly and professional environment. Dr. Williams and her assistants displayed their experience with puppies during the exam. My questions were answered by Dr. Williams, and she made suggestions for the continuing care of Qyah such as increasing the amount of food, introducing him to the outdoors, begin crate training and that he should were a harness outside. I am very pleased with my first visit, and the instructions regarding treatment for worms and fleas and heartworms. I appreciate the instructions for the take home treatments and the follow-up phone call with the lab results from his Fecal sample. Going forward if I have any questions, I can call the office with my concerns. I randomly selected Westside Animal Hospital from a Google search. I made a good choice. Most importantly, everyone was so excited and loving on Qyah.

Dr. Mayer is a great vet. She is very nice, gentle, thorough and dedicated. Love her! We had several veterinarians but so far she is the best! Highly recommended!

Westside Animal Hospital's staff and trio of DVMs are some of the absolute best in the Triangle. Caring, compassionate, and extremely knowledgable, from their treatment of the bumps and scrapes of everyday life to regular, routine maintenance care and beyond is second to none. My five year old Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, Trajan, has been going to Westside for his entire life and has a wonderful relationship with the veterinarians and they know him well. This team really goes the extra mile to take care of the animals they see, listen to their human family members' concerns, and recommend the best course(s) of action for any given situation. I cannot recommend Westside Animal Hospital highly enough to anyone in the area looking for a vet!

I truly have found the right vet to continue the care of my two dogs Venus and Serena. I recently moved to Durham and was worried I wouldn't find such a great to care for them as they require special treatment. Everyone, the receptionist, tech and doc went over and above my expectations! Thank you all for special and caring!

The team was so compassionate with our cat who was in distress and we couldn't figure out why. They spoke to us kindly and with empathy as we finally had to make the decision to put our cat down since she was suffering. Their compassion was palatable and very loving to our cat and to us. The staff is so nice and knowledgeable. Trying to navigate a move overseas with complicated timing and paperwork requirements and they knew exactly what is needed and when. It's nice to have confidence in them and have one less thing to worry about. Most importantly, my 2 cats and dog warmed right up to them during their exams. It's clear they're in this field for their love of animals. Highly recommend them!

I so appreciate all of the staff being so welcoming and accommodating. Even as a new patient, they got us in quickly and were all so kind to my dog and I. Our vet and technician were very knowledgeable and approachable. They took the extra time to explain all treatment options, answer my questions, and show me how to administer the medication. They even offered to help me put the drops in the next day if needed! Truly the best veterinary experience that I’ve ever had. It is clear that they are consummate professionals and genuinely care about the animals they treat. Will definitely recommend them to anyone in the area.

Met their new vet, Dr. Brian Grossi. He and staff were all very thorough with our dog for her annual exam, explained everything carefully. Dr. Grossi took the time to give his background. Everyone very pleasant and really seemed to care about our pup. Overall good experience.

Absolutely love this vet clinic! Dr. Williams is wonderful, caring, thoughtful and there to to help you take the best care possible of my beloved companions. I have several German Shepherds, one is elderly and the other is an active sport dog and she has been great at helping manage their health in their different stages of life. When my elderly cat crossed over the rainbow bridge she was very tender and I was able to hold her and be with her in a private setting and say goodbye. Her staff are also great, wonder vet techs and a great receptionist. I highly recommend Westside!

I took both of my cats to Westside for 3 years up until my recent move to another state. Over the last year my geriatric cat has had many issues to the point of needing meds twice daily and she was very lucky to have Dr. Maia Broussard taking care of her. The level of care, detailed emails answering questions and her thorough explanations of all options available to us with each new health challenge was a level of patient care from a vet I had NEVER experienced. I cannot recommend Westside and Dr. Broussard enough. It cost a bit more than other vets in the area for some things, but you truly get what you pay for. My experience was SO good that I’m stressed looking for a new vet, thinking it will be impossible to find anyone near as good as her!

Westside Animal Hospital wowed us last week when we were in need of an urgent assessment for a 1-yo pup we'd just rescued from a small-town shelter. It was a busy week for all vet clinics, including Westside, but Westside was the only one that found a way to work us into their schedule with a same-day request - despite the fact that we hadn't been to the clinic for years. We so appreciate the unusually detailed evaluation Dr. Michelle Argetsinger provided, the extra care from vet tech Denise, and the time they both devoted to addressing our questions and concerns. This is a first-class veterinary hospital located in a very homey setting. Definitely a 10/10 experience.

We love Westside Animal Hospital and have been going there for many years with our pets. They are so wonderful and care so much for our beloved pets, it really shows. I just dropped off some clean towels that we no longer needed and they were so appreciative! What a great group and I highly recommend them!

Our dog Frankie just had a minor surgery procedure. Rachel Dieterich RVT and Betsy Williams DVM were so thoughtful and kind and Frankie and my husband and I really appreciate the attentive care. We felt like they treated him as part of their family

The techs and vets here are so compassionate. They listen to your concerns about your pup and truly tailor treatment to your specific pet. I love coming here! I have left practice with another dog because they kept insisting I put dog through dental cleaning. They’re prices were twice what I was quoted and paid elsewhere. Still bring my other dog here and will continue until they insist on dental work 🤷🏻‍♀️

My first visit to Westside. Dr. Mayer and Allison helped evaluate my Yorkie-poo. What a tremendous team. Genuine, thoughtful professionals who really take interest in your pet. They gave my dog an extensive evaluation and then talked to me at length about planning, treatment and costs. Very reasonable prices too. I’ve had dogs for 57 years and been to a number of vet offices but this practice is hands down the best. The professionals here really take pride in their practice.
