I cannot say enough great things about this practice. I had a traumatic experience with my first IUD (at another practice) and was so worried when time came for it to be replaced. I saw Amy Dixon and have never been more impressed by a medical professional; speaking with her was the first time I felt like I was truly listened to by a provider. She validated and calmed my fears, and made a plan for how to minimize pain and anxiety during the IUD replacement. She is so reassuring and kind, explains every step she's taking and checks in frequently to make sure you're comfortable. It is really life-changing when you find a provider like Amy Dixon, especially after having only bad or mediocre experiences. All of the nurses I interacted with were also great, and the Office Manager was wonderful as well.

I had a surprisingly good experience! I was nervous as I have not had such good experiences in the past. Shykiya along with her staff made me feel very at ease without even knowing. The professionalism and the information they provided was great. I walked away feeling very at ease with the care that was provided to me.

This really addresses the care provided by Lydia Schmittel. We certainly formed a bond as she delivered my daughter. I'm always surprised at each meeting we have as she is always thorough, never seemed rushed to get through our appointment, usually had questions for me about things I needed to think about but had not. She is very calm, which helps anyone going through a pregnancy for the first time. I just really like her and enjoy her. I'm sure you will too! It's unfortunate that we are not able to choose who delivers our babies....medical care is not like it used to be where you'd see one practitioner from the beginning to the end. It seems to work out though if you are able to schedule your appointments with a certain person consistently.

Everyone in the office was so friendly and welcoming and that really helps as a new patient. Shy Tillman was exceptionally warm and funny and put me right at ease for my pelvic exam, which hasn't been my experience with previous providers. I didn't catch the front desk attendant's name but she was so kind and helpful as well, the whole process was painless and smooth from start to finish. I feel better informed on my health and my options and I don't think I'll be dreading my next exam anymore :)

I was due for my annual health check and was greeted in the exam room by a student that asked if it was OK if she began by obtaining some information. I believe it was her last day there and she was very informative and thorough. Then, Dr. Anne Martinelli came in and reviewed everything thoroughly and began the exam. Both of these ladies worked well together and when I say they were thorough, I’ve been in the medical field for over 30+ years and they were VERY thorough with reviewing my medications, past medical history and answering my questions. Not only were they thorough, but they had the best bedside manner and were entertaining, if you can imagine that. I left my appointment impressed and feeling extremely satisfied.

I have been going to Chapel Hill OBGYN since I moved here 5 years ago. I had both of my children through them. My experience has been wonderful! I have enjoyed every doctor and midwife I met through both pregnancies. I chose to deliver with midwives both times, and I am so appreciative that I had the opportunity to do that, and to do so within a hospital setting. It gave me peace of mind that I could choose my care team and do so safely within a hospital. Could not recommend them more!

I just want to thank Chapel Hill OBGYN for such an amazing ride. From my first appointment with Amy to the appointment I had 30+ weeks with all the amazing staff, I couldn’t be more grateful. My birth was sooooo much fun with Stacy. The experience was AMAZING due to the positive energy that she had. My son had to have open heart surgery due to a genetic heart defect…I was greeted with such warm arms and compassion when he came with me to my postnatal appointment. You guys rock!!

The new office in Chapel Hill is beautiful! Also, Dr. Hardison spent so much time with me at my most recent appointment. He listened really well to my concerns and helped me develop a plan. I felt really great leaving my appointment.

I have been with this practice over 30 years. My doctor (Dr. Fried) retired a few years but he took the time to make sure I would be comfortable seeing/bonding with another doctor. I like the friendly professionalism. Questions are always answered within my understanding. Atmosphere is nice.

Dr. Shy is amazing! I’ve never felt this comfortable with any of my doctors. I really feel like I can talk to her about anything with out feeling judged. I’m so glad I found her!

I have been going to Chapel Hill OBGYN since 95 seeing Dr. Chapel and a few times when she wasn't available other doctors and nurses. I have always felt properly cared for. Selecting an OBGYN your comfortable with is very important decision. I highly recommend Chapel Hill OBGYN.

I love Dr. Martinelli, and the entire staff is warm and welcoming and kind and sweet. I no longer look at my annual gyn appointment with a sense of get-it-over-with. At the age of 76, I'm humming the tune from Flower Drum Song: "I Enjoy Being a Girl!" Great musical, fallen out of political favor...... Thanks, everyone!!!

After searching high and low, I found the OBGYN for me! Shy is top notch and the definition of black excellence! VERY thorough and knowledgeable! Took the time to explain all of my options and why those options would work/help resolve my issue. Very compassionate, friendly with a warm bedside manner. I left my appointment feeling heard and understood. You will not be disappointed. I have been to two previous OBGYN clinics and they do not even compare to the care I’ve gotten with Shy! The facility is also clean, welcoming and bright. They have updated charting/patient software unlike one of the other clinics I’ve been to. The women at the front desk are also very friendly. I would say they have exceeded my expectations.

The staff was very welcoming and down to earth. Dr. Miller made me feel at ease which helped my visit be a good experience.

Dr. Vi was amazing. She gave me great advice for my health and was very gentle and instructed me the whole way. Dorian was also amazing, she was sweet and gave me a wonderful check in experience.

I was able to get an appointment quickly. The staff here takes the time to listen to you and is very informative and professional.
