My 5 year old son has been going to Wushu Central for a few months now and he's been loving it! The instructors are all very engaging and takes the time to interact with each child. They make an effort to know each child by name and foster a comfortable and fun learning environment. All instructors seem very knowledgeable about Wushu and also about interacting with kids. My son has tried many extra-curricular activities and Wushu has been one that he looks forward to and enjoys the most. I'm looking forward to being part of the Wushu Central community for a long time!

My daughter loves going to Wushu central. We enrolled her when she was 3, she is 5 now and still really looks forward to her classes every week. The coaches are fantastic, very engaging and encouraging. They are adept at instructing kids of multiple ages and make the classes fun.

My son who is 8 years old loves this place. He has been going for the past 2 years. He got promoted from white belt to purple belt. I can see his improvement. The instructors are super friendly and professional.

My 10-year-old son has been a student at Wushu Central for over 4 years. The results have been tangible. He can easily do splits, backbends and power push-ups. He's determined to get his black belt and perhaps be a coach himself someday. A lot of this is due to the excellent coaches and classes at Wushu Central. The coaches have all been kind and encouraging. They're also very skilled and passionate about martial arts with several attaining higher degrees of black belt. In addition to wushu classes, my son has also had positive experiences in their self defense classes and summer camps. The only negatives that we've had were a few miscommunications over schedule changes, which were all quickly resolved. From the warm welcome we received from Sifu Troy back in 2016 to the advanced classes that he's taking now, Wushu Central has been a great martial arts school for my son!

Wushu central has been awesome for our family! My 4yo loves going to their kung fu class and can’t wait for the next session. She loves all the exercises, the teachers, and I can see a shift in their confidence. We will keep going, and and probably will get the personal defense class for me!

Adam is a very shy 8 year old boy (or used to be), we tried multiple sports to help him but only Wushu was able to do the magic, all the coaches are very friendly and approachable. Adam loves all the coaches, recently we were in Pleasanton and he asked to go visit coach Emma, but unfortunately they were closed (it was a Sunday). Adam enjoys his time doing martial art in Wushu central, Adam is looking looking forward to get his black belt one day.

My daughter has learned so much over the past year at Wushu. She loves hanging out with her Wushu buddies and the coaches. Apart from just martial arts, It also teaches you discipline and focus which I really like. The staff and admin are really cooperative and friendly.

We joined Wushu Central Little Heros program for about a month, and I have been truly impressed by all the coaches and the program. Our son is autistic, and we wanted to improve his social skills and physical sensory seeking behaviors. Coach Emma, Sifu Troy, Coach Mayu and the rest of the staff have all been above and beyond supportive. They worked closely with us to find adjustments to help our son succeed in class. And we are now looking forward to our first belt test! Would highly recommend Wushu Central!

Both of my kids have attended Wushu Central Academy for the last 4 months. I definitely can say they became stronger physically and mentally even for this short period of time. Friendly and encouraging coaches will make sure even shy kid feel comfortable there. Perfect place for the after-school activity!

Signed up for Wushu Kids class for my 5-year-old daughter who doesn’t like sports, and she’s now becoming much more comfortable with group activities in school. Coaches here are super nice and encouraging, and they know how to deal with little kids. I like the well designed activities, useful self defense techniques, and a spacious air-conditioned classroom where parents can sit and watch.

Great coaches, well thought out classes and plenty of parking! After joining Wushu Central in the midst of the pandemic 2 years ago we stopped our membership because our kiddo started kindergarten and no longer has the time to come in for class (for now), but Wushu Central will always had a special place in our hearts because it was our kidd's first group class, first uniform and first testing! And mostly because in a time of such uncertainty we found a small community of people at Wushu Central where we could temporarily forget about everything that was going on and just have fun, learn forms, and stretch out. I'm looking forward to joining again in the summers for their camps!

Wushu Central has a great attitude, and knows how to be flexible with the young students, to keep them engaged. 3 teachers during the class really helped to keep the focused students on task, while trying to reign in the distracted. Happy and friendly they brought the kids thru the basics of focus, balance, flexibility and agility. I think these exercises will help them perform in other activities, and if nothing more, to send them home tired 😆

Great studio, receptionist was very helpful, instructors are great and encouraging, other participants are super nice, friendly and welcoming. I've only taken the K2 classes so far and I love them, they're super intense and push you to challenge yourself. In K2 and K3 you need wraps and gloves, in K1 you don't as you don't actually punch a bag in that one. The studio is very spacious and nice. The floors are nice and you can choose whether you wear shoes or go barefoot.

They are well organized, clean, and easy to communicate with. My daughter really enjoys her class and her coaches work well with her age group (3-5). I have noticed her confidence level has increased since she started classes.

The coaches at Wushu Central Martial Arts Academy in Palo Alto are nothing but amazing. Sifu Troy and his instructors are patient yet challenge each individual student at their own pace to continually get better. They teach the kids life lessons that are invaluable. I have seen my daughter continue to grow and develop. We love this place!

Pros: Wonderfully caring and supportive coaches and staff, and belt system designed to motivate kids and keep them progressing. They do their best to help kids. Cons [edited]: because of complaints, administration has changed their policy on missed classes. If your child needs to miss one class, then there's an online class they can take instead, but it's at a time many can't attend (weekday evening only, right at dinner time) and needs to be booked in advance. Or kids can do a "make-up", which means they can take a future class twice (repeat the content). The new policy is that if your child needs to miss a week, they are eligible for a free half hour private lesson. This is a great option, but not advertised to parents - you have to know. Communication with administration via email/phone is generally poor - stop into the studio instead. You'll get a kind response in person.

There is a very good atmosphere. The coaches are awesome. They always encourage us. I started Kung Fu with my daughter. Both adults and children can learn together. There are a couple of coaches at the class, so we can practice with trainees who has similar skill. We can get not only Kung Fu skills but also build physical strength as the training contains “conditioning”.
