I don’t know that I’ve ever had a better time at a bar in my life - and I’ve spent a lot of time in bars all over the world. This place has a vibe all of its own, and it’s truly something special. The staff, the musicians, the other patrons - everything just fell into place and created an experience that I hope to capture again sometime. The intimacy of the room, the phenomenal quality of the music (last night it was Ancient Sun - I have no words to describe these guys), the smokiness, the lighting, the little nooks and crannies where sounds and smells gather - it’s all there. I’m begging you to go to this place and see live music. I will never forget this place, and if you go, neither will you. Thank you for giving me such an unexpected and amazing time here during my visit to Orlando. I live in CA and may come back just to go to this bar and see more live music. It’s honestly that good of a place.

Tanqueray’s made me feel like a College Freshman again and living in this rat race we call life it wasn’t a bad thing. It’s an underground bar with daily live music and some reasonably price drink specials. It’s a cozy basement party kind of atmosphere where the lights are dim. If you look at my photos and videos everything inside is pretty much dark. There was one problem I had and it didn’t affect my review because I knew ahead of time...smoking is allowed in this establishment. It wasn’t bad at first but the later it got the more I began to worry about the 2nd hand smoke and that was about an hour before closing, and honestly if the band didn’t take a break, I probably wouldn’t have noticed the smoke, the band was that good. I’m going to be honest we walked out of there smelling like we smoked 20 packs of cigarettes but we walked out feeling happy and hungry on the hunt for food...just like those fun old college days.

First time visiting Downtown Orlando, and this place was phenomenal! Such an amazing vibe and great musicians playing the night I went. The bar staff was attentive and very nice, and the building itself was such a cool spot. Definitely recommended to all my friends and I can't wait to stop by again, we spent the whole night here!

Down some flight of stairs. Definition of a drive bar. Really strange older music - i put money in the jute box. And made request Because it was so bad. I think someone was requesting songs on phone. I liked playing darts. You need cash for darts. Bar tenders were nice. Bathrooms were ok. Very chill feel -drinks 7-10$

To be one of only 5 maximum black patrons and to be flipped off for asking “excuse me” is a really daunting experience... Thankfully there are much more welcoming venues in the area… to the bearded bartender at the front of the bar, I hope you have a change of heart and are a better bartender in general. God bless.

If you like dive bars, Tanqueray's will seem akin to heaven. It's hard to find establishments that have withstood the test of time, but it's easy to see why these guys have been around for over 30 years -- the oldest of any bar in Downtown Orlando. The history behind the location only adds to the marvel of the place. You'll be hard pressed to find drinks priced as reasonably as they are here in the downtown area. And as if all of that wasn't good enough, the happy hour (Monday to Friday from 5pm to 8pm) is one of if not the best I've ever been to in the world. 50% off your bar tab? Seriously? Don't mind if I do. (Some restrictions apply) If you haven't been here yet, please do yourself a favour and visit.

Fantastic underground (literally) bar with a vintage speakeasy feel. Smoke, beer, and liquor sold at the bar. Live music every night. Usually No cover. Core memories created here. 10/10.

Great live music acts every single night of the week. Good place for drinks and smokers. This place allows smoking inside still. So, if you don't like smoke this might not the right place. They have happy hour special Monday through Friday 50% off your tab. 5pm till 8pm Always great service and friendly faces.

Great option to drink beers with friends enjoying live rock music. Attentive servers, nice girl at the bar and acceptable prices.

If you want a chill spot with great live music you can't do better than Tanqueray's. Been coming here for years and it never disappoints. If someone came from out of town and wanted to see downtown and I could only take them to one bar, it would hands down be Tanquerays all day every day.

Favorite bar in Orlando!! The band and the energy there was absolutely amazing. Highly recommend to anyone passing through or living in Orlando. Good drinks for a great price and the bouncer is hilarious! Honestly can’t say enough about how awesome this place is!!

Tanqueray's is the kind of bar that has a local feel to it, even though it's in the heart of downtown Orlando. The location is prime, the music is always incredible, the bartenders and staff are a perfect fit, and the drinks, of course, are top notch. It's a staple and a must-visit bar. Warning: it's intimate and smoky, the way a good basement bar should be.

My husband loves dive bars so I joined him on a Friday for happy hour. The prices are so cheap at 50% off your bill! The bartenders are so nice! We went back later and I could not handle the smoke. So if you’re like me and are cool with dives but not the smoke, go early.

There’s really no comparison. We go everywhere. It’s worth braving f;:&$?,*+ Orlando. Florida I’m not so sure. But fly in, fly out? Solid choice every time.

Always amazing! It is a smoking friendly bar so be aware if you've got a sensitive nose or just not your style. By far the safest bar I've been to since moving to the area. Love getting a taste of the local music scene here too!

It's been a whilensince I've been, but I used to live at this bar. Was there multiple times a week at one point in my life. The drinks are reapsnable, live music always on point, and staff is ridculously friendly.
