You can tell that the food is fresh and made from scratch. I LOVE the quality of vegan/vegetarian selections that the menu has. The Indian renditions of dishes such as the Cauliflower Wings are sooooo yummy and flavorful. The samosas chaat are like vegetable empanadas but better, sooo good. The prices are great. The location is clean and inviting. This is my new go to vegan place. I will definitely be going back for their Lunch Special.

One of the best south indian restaurants in South Florida. Pretty new restaurant. Nice seating availability. But the interior is a little bit darker, like a pub. Food is amazing. Good portion sizes. Both south indian and north indian dishes are available. Also some unique vegan dishes too. Definitely recommend the dosas and the filter coffee. Will come again.

Went there with my friends for lunch. One of nicest restaurants I have been to recently. Very clean neat and minimalistic ambience. The staff were so kind and respectful. A bit hard to find the place because of sign board which they are still working on to get approved. But please look for the name on the exterior glass. It's really worth it. Will definitely go back.!

The food is superb, very tasty. The best vegan option in Broward. Every single dish is fabulous. Fresh ingredients always. The customer service is awesome, they go above and beyond. The best part is that if you want to try this food without its hot-spicy heat, they will cook it at the spice level that you request...even zero spice. So you can try the best flavors without the heat. The vegan burger is magnificent...tastes exactly as a real burger 🍔, same texture but without the purines/uric acid. Great variety of dosas. Really amazing food. Highly recommended.

Taste of the food was not good. Masala Dosa - no oil at all. Asked for Rava Dasa without Masala. Came with Masala. Upon reminding the order, they just removed the Masala and brought the same Dosa. Bisebele bath was rice mixed with Sambar. Coffee was horrible.

I LOVE the cauliflower wings! I come 2-3 times a week. So happy I found it, the chef is great, the ambiance is perfect. You won’t be disappointed! Hard to find a great vegan restaurant in this area

This new Indian restaurant in south Florida is amazing! One of the only places that serve paneer dosa in all of South Florida and it was truly excellent. The service is impeccable and the ambiance is calming. This is a must visit place for Indian restaurants in the South Florida area.

I had to try out the recently opened up Indian restaurant. Well, ordered a take out my first experience, typical Idli sambar and masala dosay. Well the food was average at best, definitely has some room improvement. My sambar had a whole chunk of bottle gourd. Ambience was the interior looked good, might someday dine in.

First time I went to this Cafe just to see the menu and to taste how it’s gonna be different compare to other restaurants but while having my food I realized the taste was really amazing and worth it to come from far. My all time favorite food items in Madras Cafe is Onion Chilli Uthappam, Cauliflower Wings & Finally last but not least one mysore coffee ☕️. I felt as a student the prices are lil bit high but yeah we can get Indian taste.

The buck stops here… my fellow indian-food lovers :) Delicious, fresh & amazing. Our server, Anil, was a professional & took such good care of us. The owner, Santosh, was super friendly & both of them made sure that all their customers are having a good time & a “very happy” meal.

Restaurant is a little hard to find as they just opened and don’t have the sign up yet. Food was great, good size portion and spice level was good for me. You can tell them how spicy you want it. We had bhel appetizer, Jaipur dosa and pav bajahi. Good value, would come back. Thanks!

Authentic South Indian food. Very friendly service. The Chef came to check whether everything was ok a few times. Very good Vegan options. I have been searching for a really good south Indian cafe in South Florida. Alas, there is none until the Madras cafe. Try this place and you won't be disappointed. The best Madras food you can taste. They take care in preparing the food. The Dosa and Vada was great and the sambar was like home cooking. The fried food quality is outstanding. Very reasonably priced. Lots of parking. Calming ambiance. I will go back again.

We were thrilled when we learned this Madras Cafe was owned by the same person who once owned the nearby wonderful, all-vegetarian Udipi Cafe, which had been our favorite restaurant for many years before it closed in 2019. Maybe he’s since sold it because the food is nothing like the much-missed Udipi, which used to be located just a few blocks south on University. The staff was friendly and the place looked clean enough. The first disappointment is that it’s no longer all vegetarian. But they offer two menus, a non-veg and a veg. (I’ve included photos of the veg menu; we didn’t look at the non-veg menu.) We were asked if we wanted water, but unlike most places this is a trick question. If you say yes, you’re buying bottles of water. The items on the menu are strange. Who goes to a place called Madras Cafe to get a veggie burger? Or pizza? Or scrambled eggs? (This last option was written on the wall. Other odd writing on the wall was the Spanish phrase Eres Lo Que Come … why Spanish???) Also, North Indian cuisine? Isn’t Madras in the south? Notice that some items are repeated in the menu. We chose the Chickpea Stew and the Eggplant Stew thinking these might be like chana masala and baingan bharta, which is what we usually get from our local Indian restaurant, Bombay Cafe, on Oakland Park. No, they were not. We ordered both “spicy.” The portions were small, there was very little eggplant in the eggplant stew, and the sauces were nearly identical in flavor, too sweet (even with the added heat) and seemed to have some sort of cream, not at all like the dishes we’re used to. But the chickpeas themselves were well cooked with a nice creamy texture. Sorry to say that we won’t be back.
