I have used Mati coffee for espresso machine repairs for many years. They have historically been overpriced but more convenient than shipping the machine out for repairs. They tack on mandatory services so that you always pay a minimum of $300 - even for a tiny repair. My last repair cost > $300, took weeks to perform, and returned the machine in non-working order. I recommend avoiding them. Not only do they build in extra costs, but they mark up parts about 10x so that you always pay a minimum of $300 for each and every repair. They force you to pay $120 for a "tune up" - but when I received my machine back it did not work at all. They clearly did not even test it, otherwise they would have known that it didn't work. I am happy to pay for the labor to repair the machine, but I don't appreciate being ripped off on parts and having fake line items added on. They are clearly lining their pockets by overcharging and under-delivering on service. You are much better off shipping your machine to the manufacturer or finding a more honest shop.

Called Mati about repairing a Saeco semiautomatic espresso machine. Very professional and personable explaining the process. Less than 5 minutes later I got a call from them. Original person said she talked to a tech and had some things I could try, if I was willing, that might fix it. Made an effort to talk themselves out of a job! Tried what they suggested and still needed to bring in for a repair. They called with an estimate and asking for approval. Finished 1 day earlier than promised and at exact amount of estimate. When I picked up my machine I caught a glimpse into the shop. It was very clean, well lit, and looked very professional. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

I've had home espresso machines for +30 years. About 3 years ago I had the opportunity to upgrade my Saeco (then Estro) Vapore to a used Saeco Talea with a touch screen - easy for the rest of my family to use. I used it and maintained it for about 18 months when something got out of whack and after both my husband and I took turns trying to repair it, it sat on a shelf for nearly another year until I made the time to research who worked on Italian machines in my area last week. Since I originally paid $225 for the machine, I was torn about likely spending more than that to repair it. I'm glad I made the call and did spend nearly $300 to have it working, though that joy was in doubt when I retrieved my machine and used it last Thursday and Friday, only to have a brand new problem appear on Saturday - when the shop is closed for the weekend. I did not handle the timing well. To say I was frustrated is accurate. Today I finally thought to make a video of the problem, which, I'm glad to say, was very helpful when I called Mati this morning. I grumbled over to the shop not knowing what to expect. I really should have asked the name of the man I've seen there all 3 times. He figured out the problem in about 10 minutes. Thank you for giving me a mini tour of my machine. I look forward to years of use to come.

We had our Saeco coffee system cleaned and tuned up. The staff is so friendly and the tune up was perfect. The machine came back cleaned up and shiny, just like we like it. Lastly, I was given a delicious cafe mocha for my ride home. Thank you

I had my espresso machine serviced at Mati's several months ago that cost me $300+ in repairs and my machine stopped working again exactly 3 months later when the repair warranty expired. It took Mati longer to repair my machine than what they communicated to, which is understandable with the pandemic etc, however my 1 start review is due to they complete unwillingness to even look at the machine only few days past their warranty and wanting to charge me $160 for troubleshooting. Due to them repairing it so recently and having the same issue I think at the very least they should have waived the troubleshooting fee or at least discount it. This is the reason I would look for another business who is focused on their customer and not just trying to grab your money and not stand behind their service.

Using Mati for super-automatic espresso machine repairs for the third time in 10 years. Every time the job done right, thoroughly explained and reasonably priced.

Great People, Great Service. There really isn't another place in Chicago that will service a Breville espresso machine. Just from a phone call they knew what was wrong with my machine. Brought it in on a Monday and picked it up on Friday. The Service person explained what was wrong and how it was fixed and even carried the very heavy machine to my car. My shot and foam is better than EVER. Literally, better than when it was new. The owner even demo'd this cute Essse Caffe capsule machine. So inexpensive, with a really creamy shot. I am considering getting one for my upstairs office for the afternoon shot. Thanks everyone!

I cannot recommend Mati’s coffee enough! The owner, Luca, and his staff were so friendly and they went above and beyond to help repair our sentimental old DeLonghi coffee machine. I am from Cleveland, Ohio, and they were the closest certified repair service available. We drove to Chicago to visit family, so we were able to bring our beloved machine to Mati’s. When we told them that we had driven all the way in from Cleveland and were only in town for a few days, they jumped into action. Within less than 24 hours, our machine was as good as new, having received several replacement parts and having been thoroughly cleaned and renovated. Our family and friends are now back to enjoying a superb cup of coffee! What a pleasant and professional experience!

Great company to work with. I had a problem with my De'Longhi coffee & espresso maker. When I dropped the machine off they told me it would be about a week (worse case) and they will call me. 3 days later they called, gave me a price and asked how I'd like to proceed. I said to go ahead and picked it up the next day. They even let me talk to the tech that worked on it and he gave me some really good tips. I highly recommend these folks. Great service at a fair price!

Horrible service, technicians are seems to be missing important skills of how to put machine back altogether. Owner-Luca Mati is a very rude and unkind person, I do not recommend this place, especially if you are going to service Miele or Jura product. I attached some pics so u may see what the've done with my Jura Ena 8

I just had my DeLonghi espresso maker serviced for the first time since I purchased it over 13 years ago. I was nervous and not sure where I would even take it for repair. Mati Coffee was easy to find online. From the initial phone call I made to Mati Coffee until I picked up my repaired machine, there was nothing but customer service excellence every step of the way. The process was explained to me very clearly, how and when to drop off, how long it would take and so on. The staff exhibited exceptional expertise and provided prompt friendly service. My espresso maker now works flawlessly, and I couldn't be happier with the overall experience. I highly recommend this shop for top-notch service!

I knew exactly what was broken in my coffee machine so I called to ask how much the repair would cost me. I’ve been told that to repair or replace the grinder for my Jura would be around $350-450, so I agree and dropped off coffee machine next day. I was charged $150 non refundable fee for inspection or whatever that should be included in the repair service. Fine, I understand. Two days later I received a call with updates that now my replacement for grinder would cost me $850. I refused to pay that much, knowing that the grinder cost no more than $300. So basically I paid them $150 for opening my coffee machine and telling me the problem that I told them prior coming for repair. If I was told over the phone that it would cost me TWICE more at $850 I would never waist my time coming and money PAING FOR NOTHING! so, no, I won’t be coming back and will not recommend coming here to anyone else.

I took my DeLonghi Magnifica S for a repair. They were very friendly in the office and the machine was ready within 3 days. The owner was willing to answer my questions and tried to give me some ideas of what might be wrong.

Mati Coffee - Saeco Repair First I love my coffee and Second I really love my Saeco's. First started with a Vienna and then for Latte's I purchased a Saeco Syntia ...... I loved it so much so I have two. One for the office (the team loves it, saves them $$ on starbucks), and for my home. Every once in awhile I need to have them serviced, every two years of so and Mati is the place to go here in the Chicagoland area. They are friendly, have a quick turnaround and most of all do an excellent job. They always come back looking close to new again. Thank you Mati Coffee! Keep up the great work. Mati Coffee is my go-to place when my espresso machine needs repair. They also have a nice variety of espresso makers and coffee. I recently had my old V'Spresso repaired with great success and even purchased a single serve machine for my daughter. Great service!

Truly expert professionals on espresso machines. Fairly priced. Extremely knowledgeable. I am now a loyal customer. And a bonus - you get a free coffee from one of their top notch espresso machines in the lobby. Best Cafe Americano I have ever tasted.
