Justin did my first tattoo and I absolutely love it and I will definitely be going back to get more. Justin made me feel comfortable and less nervous plus he’s funny. The shop is super clean and there’s great vibes there. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking to get a tattoo. 😁

Really happy we decided to go to reef side for our tattoos (my first). We went as a family (4 of us) as part of graduation weekend and had a great experience there. The shop is beautiful (love the floor) and comfortable. The staff was nice and fun to hang out with (Justin was cracking us up), and we all love our tattoos! They did a great job, so sooner or later we'll be back for more ink from them. Also really liked being able to reserve our appointment times online in advance!

Visited Reef side this weekend to get a tattoo for my birthday. The facility was amazing: super immaculate and well presented. All the staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and fun to be around. Justin was my artist, and he was incredible! Very patient and tried several placements of my design and critiqued with honestly to get me the best results. His lines were super clean and shading was amazing. He also made the long 4.5 hour process seem like a breeze and time flew by. Easy to talk to and very funny. I have already booked my next appointment at Reef side with Justin.

Paula was incredible. If you have a teen looking for a piercing, she is extremely calming and empathetic. She talks you through each step. I would recommend this place and her 💯 Also, know that you need to have a form notarized (AM SCOT $10) for any piercings on minors.

I was a walk in with my three other friends and my personal tattoo and experience was great! Daryl was my artist. He drew up some sketches and edited it to exactly how i wanted it! It turned out great and so did my friends. It took less then 25 minutes. Walked right in and it was quick and easy for all 4 of us.

Scheduled our appointments online which was easy and convenient. The shop was clean and professional. Everyone was so welcoming especially Daniel and Paula. Justin was the artist I worked with - he was friendly, personable and I could not be happier with my tattoo. Best tattoo shop in the area - believe the reviews!

I had the pleasure to finally visit this shop for the first time today, and unexpectedly as well I was able to “walk in/book” the last appointments and not only get a second nose piercing from Paula who was very sweet, helpful and all around amazing at what she does! Then I had the absolute honor to be tattooed by Ernesto who was so cool, listened to everything I wanted to have and executed it perfectly! This new tattoo means so much to me I am more than thrilled to carry it with me from now on! Everyone I met was so very nice and I would so love to come back for more ink in the future! Big shout out to Darryl Lee at Reefside Tattoo. He did an amazing job at bringing my love of dinosaurs and Halloween together off the picture I gave. He was professional clean and very honest. The whole shop was amazing from the front desk to other Artist who were in the building. So supportive of each other and great with keeping the atmosphere positive. Michael made sure my daughter who got her first Tattoo was a memorable experience for her. So positive and great attitude. He made sure to communicate what he could do with what she was wanting. GREAT PEOPLE, GREAT WORK, GREAT PRICES!! For a while I have wanted a compass on the inside of my wrist as my first tattoo. I live in Miami and went to a place my friends recommended and was told what I wanted was too small, wouldn't work and the people were generally very unhelpful. So being in Melbourne for a few months I decided to see about getting it done here. I researched Google and Yelp for tattoo places and all the reviews for Reef Side Melbourne Tattoo Shop were really positive. I was first greeted at the front desk and chatted with him for a bit and he introduced me to Justin. They were both really engaged, took time to understand what I wanted and then made suggestions on the design I wanted. I went back a week later and Justin showed me the mock up. We worked on it to revise it and he was patient and nothing was too problematic to do or change. I am a bit of a perfectionist but he is too so it worked. The guys were amazing. The tattoo took about 45 minutes and I ABSOLUTELY could not be happier. It is a really beautiful piece of work. This place rocks!! if you intend or are just thinking about getting a tattoo done you have to go here. Great people, great work, great prices.

I can not begin to say enough amazing things about Reef Side Tattoo and Justin Tyme! I went in to have an older tattoo outline filled in with color and to have some of the missing/weak outline fixed. All I was expecting was basic color fill and Justin went above and beyond! He reoutlined the old tattoo completely so that all of the lines would be fresh and sharp. He added beautifully rich deep color and shading to my tattoo and perfect details and highlights that I didn’t know I wanted or needed but absolutely made my tattoo perfect. Justin didn’t have to take the time to add the highlights and little artistic touches like water droplets, beautiful color gradient shifts and cell detail in the wings, I’m not an artist and I probably wouldn’t have noticed that the tattoo was lacking anything, but it’s those personal touches he put in that made my tattoo truly special and unique! I can not wait to go back and have Justin work on a memorial piece for my father! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH JUSTIN!!! :)

Absolutely the Best!! Great Artists!!! Never had a tattoo and been thinking about getting one for a long time. Found this shop and researched it thoroughly. Best decision I could have possibly made. I now have had two done in a month. I will definitely be going back for a third! My wife had a tattoo that was done about four years ago that she had Justin fix and color. It came out AMAZING!!! Daryl is a great artist and really came through! I‘d been wanting the tattoo for months, but had been so busy and traveling for work. I got some down time while in town for a friend’s birthday and decided it was time and landed on this shop/artist through other reviews. I sent over an inquiry and heard back really quickly. Daryl was very quick at coming up with the perfect sketch (I had a concept, but wasn’t dead set on the reference). He literally pulled it off in less than a day and I’m super happy with the design. The tattoo process itself was very chill and took about 2.5 hours - top tier tunes, and Daryl was great about asking me if I needed a break. I’m one day 2 of aftercare/healing and all is good. I cannot recommend this place enough!

I personally loved this tattoo shop!! I got my first tattoo that was a dreamcatcher with moons on it and I was absolutely pleased with the work Justin did! He was so personable and he guided me step by step and he was amazing overall! Thank you again to Justin and his team for my new tattoo that I will cherish from now on :) anyone that wants one, Justin and his team, are your people for tattoos! Definitely going again soon

I’m so happy I found this shop! The environment is great and very welcoming. Everyone who works here is kind and makes you feel comfortable. Shop is clean and their work honestly amazing. I just received 2 pieces by Ernesto! I am blown away by his beautiful work!! I recently had two new tattoos done. First I gave the idea of what I wanted and how I thought I wanted to placement. Ernesto executed it by designing it beautifully but also making a way better choice of the layout of this tattoo. The work is pristine on both pieces. My second tattoo done today he did an absolutely fantastic job at! I am honestly speechless on how great it turned out to be. Again, I originally wanted this piece else wear but I’m so happy I went with what Ernesto recommended placement. The shape of this tattoo was also his recommendation. All in all this is definitely the place I’m coming too for more work! Thank you!!

My husband and I had appointments with Daniel R. and right off the bat, 5 stars for him because we were running late and he was cool about it! The atmosphere was amazing, clean, and inviting. We were greeted immediately and, after completing the paperwork, jumped right in! We each did an hour session, and it was exactly what we each wanted! I am very happy with the attention to detail and advice that was given to keep everything I wanted and very delighted with the outcome! Highly recommend!!

JD Brown at Reefside is awesome! He has done multiple tattoos for me and I highly recommend him. His ability to freehand designs blows me away. He is a wonderful artist and a great human. I’m proud to have an arm covered in his work.
