I took a tour in Philip cruises last week. I chose a Glacier quest cruise. We had a comfortable ride by bus from Anchorage to Whittier with beautiful landscape view and one stop to make a photos. We start tour from Whittier port and all time enjoy in magnificent mountains view. During the ride we had a interesting story told by expirienced guided-ranger. Lunch was a tasty Salmon meal. Later we saw many Glacier in different phases of moving. Kindly and professionally personal on the boat make this tours safe and please to. Highly recommended this tours if have desire to see wild Alaska. Thanks guys for unforgettable expirience.

This was a really fun experience, and we saw a lot of wildlife. Initially the windows on the boat were really foggy, so we spent a lot of time wiping them with the squeegee to see. I wish I'd known that we'd actually stop at some of the glaciers, so I didn't need to waste my time doing that. The timing of the tour was great. They brought out a tasty seafood chowder while we were headed toward the glaciers, and once we finished we got to see all of the glaciers. They stopped at each one for a reasonable amount of time for photos. It was a really relaxing and informative tour.

A “must do experience “!! Great boat, service was very friendly, the ranger that narrated our tour was a wealth of information. Captain Chris was very fun to chat with too. The scenery was beyond compare. Surprisingly good food for an afternoon tour too. One of the best adventures during our Alaska tour.

WOW! The views were once in a lifetime, the wildlife was incredible, the narration was great! We loved our Salmon Chowder and veggies. My Glacier Margarita with fresh glacier ice was just the tip of the iceberg, literally! Whales of all kinds, otters, seals, a goat, and bald eagles were amazing. We saw glacial calving. Amazing! I want to go every year!

Absolutely amazing experience, worth the price. I would recommend taking the bus from anchorage. They make several scenic stops. Leland I'm a very beautiful clear day and was able to get super close to the glaciers. It was awe inspiring to see the glaciers that close. We also got to see plenty of wildlife. On the bus we saw moose, and on the cruise we saw sea otters, a humpback whale, walruses, and my favorite- seals!! I was slightly disappointed that we got interior seats but there is plenty of deck space and we could still see fairly well from our seats. It was such a nice day and we're young and able-bodied so we spent a lot of the time standing on the decks. The narration by national park ranger was so informative. The food on the cruise was amazing. The fresh seafood chowder is something I still think about months later. I actually asked the kitchen for a second serving and they were kind enough to give it to me!

A really surprisingly great product, even for locals. Took visiting family on a very foggy and at times rainy day. The Glacier Quest staff was welcoming, earnest and the FS naturalist onboard was great too. Food better than expected, they allowed adequate time at the Blackstone, the waterfall and the tern colony. We also completely lucked out in seeing Humpback Whales TWICE IN A DAY which was a rare treat even for the staff. The whole experience is recommended.

Wonderful experience! We took the Glacierquest Tour and loved it! Everyone was helpful, friendly and fun - from Natalie (who helped us in the parking area) to the entire crew!! Natalie let us know some not-so-well-known spots to check out before the tour since we arrived early by car. (Arriving early is also recommended if traveling by car) the ranger on board was amazing, but equally the rest of the crew was too!! We took a wildlife cruise in a nearby town which paled to this cruise! Highly recommend Phillips, wish we would have taken the 26 Glacier Cruise!!

I’ve taken a glacier cruise on Phillips in Whittier and on a different glacier cruise out of Valdez. This cruise out of Whittier gets you right up to the glaciers! Whereas the Valdez one doesn’t. The staff was all very nice! Super informative. And I got hot chowder and a hot cookie, which was amazing cause it’s pretty cold when you’re standing out on the deck.

I went on the train plus 26 glacier cruise package in the middle of July. It was an awesome experience. The Alaskan Railroad train ride was great, the train cars are comfortable and smooth with restrooms. Once we arrived in Whittier it was just a short walk across the street to the boat check in. The catamaran boat was really smooth and doesn’t rock at all. There are restrooms on board, heated cabin with restaurant style type tables and seats and several outside viewing areas. Service was good and the clam chowder lunch was good. The views of the glaciers were amazing. The boat gets close to several glaciers so there are plenty of photo opportunities included some spots to photograph wildlife. Overall it was definitely a 5 Star experience. If you’re debating which tour to take, it depends on how much time you have. If you have all day, I’d recommend the 26 glacier tour. I’d also recommend dressing in layers so you can bundle up as needed and bring a windbreaker type jacket with a hood as your outer layer if you plan to go outside on deck.

Took the Glacier Quest and had a great experience! Enjoyed delicious chowder, took in some amazing views, while learning about the glaciers, wildlife, and surrounding areas. Leaving with great memories and some new found knowledge for sure!!

26 glacier cruise - Fantastic experience from start to finish. Lunch was great, staff was excellent, Forest Service ranger was a walking encyclopedia of knowledge, etc. The glaciers - many of them - up close and spectacular. I took the Alaska Railroad to and from Whittier as a rail / cruise package. Train ride was a wonderful experience as well. Highly recommend this cruise and company.

Our Glacier cruise was fantastic! My wife and kids (9 and 6) had a great time on the 3 hour 45 minute cruise to the Blackstone and Beloit Glaciers. The views were amazing and we got real close and saw multiple calvings. And they fished out huge chunks of glacial ice for the kids and adults and you could get glacial ice margheritas. The provided lunch of salmon chowder was delicious and the warm chocolate chip cookies after were really good. Overall it was a wonderful experience, thank you!
