I have found this clinic to be incompetent from the front office to the physician. I have Hashimoto's and have negatively responded to a variety of medicines over many years which have all made me sicker than the disease itself. Therefore, I asked my treating physician for a referral to Dr Meghan Rush for a second opinion thinking that UC Health is a teaching healthcare system and could figure out why I remain so sick when my thyroid lab numbers were normal. A week after the referral was sent I called the clinic to see if I could schedule an appointment since I hadn't heard from them. The receptionist informs me that my referral was denied! They hadn't even bothered to inform me. I then asked why and was told because my labs were normal. I then inform the receptionist that the reason for requesting the referral was because I continue to feel terrible with normal lab values and wanted a second opinion. I was then told by the receptionist that she also has thyroid disease and her PCP treats her so why don't I just have my PCP treat me. Really? What kind of physician turns down a referral from another physician? Does Dr Rush think she is God and determines who she wants to treat? Disgusted, I then write a negative review on Google. Within 24 hours I receive a boilerplate email telling me they strive to make every patient's visit a positive one and I should call the office to talk with the office manager. Unfortunately, every time you call the clinic, the same rude receptionist answers and refuses to transfer your call to the office manager with the same excuse of "she's unavailable". I then request a return phone call which I received two weeks later stating that Dr Rush would now be happy to see me. I then schedule an appointment for four weeks later only to be called the morning of the appointment to inform me that Dr Rush is unable to see me that day. I was not offered a reschedule date and had to request that myself. I then get to meet Dr Rush two weeks later who rushes into the room to her computer and proceeds to tell me she has reviewed my referral lab work and tells me I should be on a certain does of levothyroxine and possibly a small amount of liothyronine so she can hit a TSH lab value. I then tell her I have already tried that multiple times over the last 7 years that and it doesn't work and that's why I am here in the first place. The medicine simply isn't working and is making me sicker and there is something wrong. Dr Rush then tells me she only practices according to TSH lab values and at no time during the appointment was she concerned about my continuing symptoms with "normal" lab values. Really? You are a specialist and you can only treat according to TSH which keeps the patient sick and you are unwilling to even try to help the patient? I guess when your only tool is a hammer, everything looks like a nail. It was obvious that Dr Rush never wanted to see me as a patient and clearly didn't care about my well being. If treating Hashimoto's is as simple as reaching a normal TSH value, while ignoring multiple patient symptoms, you certainly don't need to see a "specialist" for that. It can be handled more effectively by a computer. I can confirm that nothing makes you feel like a number than a physician actually telling you that directly to your face. In my opinion, Dr Rush is a dereliction to her own profession and needs to learn the difference between a lab number and a human being who only wants to feel well and is seeking professional help. So much for striving to make every patient's experience a positive one. This office clearly doesn't care.

I would not recommend this place. If you primary care sends in a referral, good luck. They will not see you unless your TSH, T3, T4 and TPO all have to show an issue for them to consider you. Symptoms and your pain/discomfort do not matter. My story. After a defeating two weeks waiting on a referral, I was able get an appointment scheduled. An hour later they called me back to tell me that they have to cancel my appointment because I didn’t meet the criteria with my blood work and the notes do not matter. I have every single symptom on the hypothyroidism list and chronic hives for 61 days now. Miserable is an understatement. The fact that they will not even see me to talk through my issues goes to show the lack of care or concern. The receptionists and nurses have no idea what’s going clearly with what happened above and they give you the run around. I can only imagine what it would like to be a patient here. Awful.

NP Liller is absolutely, positively, and undoubtedly the BEST endocrinologist I've had direct my care over the last 12 years since my diagnosis! She's been awesome at listening to my concerns, helping me to make good health decisions, as well as being pleasant during appointments. I appreciate her, as well as her MA Cynthia. Okay, I can't forget the entire team who support NP Liller when she is out of office. Please share my thoughts with the practice manager. I'm thrilled to find this level of care in Colorado Springs! Back in 2012, I was sent to see a hotshot "Top Colorado Endocrinologist" in Denver. Not only was he difficult to get an appt with, his nurses never answered simple questions, forwarding everything to him, which meant it would take 4-5 business days to obtain an answer. Unfortunately, his reviews described him like the TV character "House." Great knowledge, poor bedside manner. Now that NP Liller has shown me I don't need to put up with stodgy endocrinologists who are only on their "agenda," I will continue to seek my specialty care through UCHealth.

This was my favorite place to help me out with my diabetes care. That is until I was switched to Emily Bankhead. She treated me so badly and made me feel so bad every time I went in there. She also continually messed up my prescriptions. I am pretty sure she did it on purpose because I never had issues before. I stayed with her because I was afraid that I wouldn’t be able to find another office. She was snooty and looked down on me. Her attitude is absolutely disgusting. She never respected my time and would make me wait for almost a whole hour before she would come to me in the office. So in return I never respected her time. Maybe it was just a personality conflict but I suggest not having her as your endocrinologist . Barb Cook was amazing and Emily Bankhead can’t even hold a candle to what Barb did for me. Hope she can fix her attitude and not look down on patients because of having problems controlling their blood sugars. I am happy I am moving on away from her I used to dread going to her and now it is like a wait is lifted off of my shoulders that I never have to see her again!

Extreme lack of communication between referring offices. If you want to be charged for services that were not provided then this is the place for you. I was charged hundreds to be told I need new blood work, blood work that could have been useful if the doctors communicated that certain medications are to be stopped before labs. I ask why they charged me for doctor to tell me that I need new blood work, they told me they charged out the right code. How do you sleep at night? Who knew a 2 min video chat would cost so much. $700 later still no answers. Crooks that will take you for anything they can. Would not recommend.

Dr. Rush reviews test results and explains what they mean. She offers options and potential side affects and developed a plan to move forward. She schedules timely follow ups to make sure the plan is working and to make any medication adjustments. I did not feel rushed in the appointment.

Have to show up to an appointment that was canceled a month in advance. Not only was it canceled I already had the bone density scan at a different office. I called a few weeks ago to verify it had been canceled. They called when I am still recovering from surgery and was disorientated to tell me I still have an appointment on Monday.

Dr. Cameron Siddens is a jewel. Very nice, caring, and willing to listen to a long story of thyroid issues. Has me on the right path now. Seizures can and do happen with synthoid poisoning. Please if you do not feel right on thyroid medication see an actual doctor not a NP who does not know how to handle lab results and their patients who are actively dying in their presence and told me I had cancer. Thyroid poisoning is real.

Dr Siddens truly cares about his patients. I trust him 100%. I would never even consider going anywhere else. He's the best.

I only had 2 visits with Dr. Siddens, he seemed like a good doctor, hence the 2 stars. I ended leaving as a patient because the staff. They do not do what they say they are going to do. I tried getting an insulin prescription with many email exchanges through the portal. Three weeks later no insulin. I knew then it was time to move on to another Endocrinologist. It's a good thing I had a back up donation of insulin to get by. It was so frustrating to have a different person answer and asking questions I had already answered in other the emails. The front desk area staff really doesn't seem to care much about patients either. Asked them to do something, didn't get done, called again they promised it would be done but nope, not done. This staff needs to be retrained properly. Worst staff I've ever had to deal with. UCHealth really should do something to straighten this office out. P.S. please do not repsond with I am sorry you had a bad experience, call our office.

Once you make it past reception, you will receive the best care, from professional and friendly MAs, to stellar doctors. Online options available. Cannot thank Dr. Siddens enough for improving my quality of life and experience with healthcare. I don't have anything nice to say about reception.

The important function of the thyroid and the endocrine system were a mystery to me until Dr. Siddens helped me understand my test numbers and the need for an important additional test. I have every confidence in Dr. Siddens and his plan to monitor my thyroid function.

Dr. Lilley is absolutely the best diabetic doctor my husband has ever gone to over the last 50 years! She is knowledgeable, focused, and was able to help him lower his blood sugar levels dramatically within a short period of time. She is direct, personable and caring. His visits never seem rushed. What a treasure Dr. Lilley is for us and the community.
