Alonzo was fabulous. My fiance and I were so nervous, and Alonzo helped us to feel very comfortable. We now have an easy to learn, but fancy looking, dance for our first dance at our wedding. Thank you Savannah Ballroom!

We had a fantastic experience taking lessons from Alonzo. He was patient, funny & so talented. Would highly recommend to anyone new to dance (or experienced). We learned so much in just 5 lessons.

Best decision I ever made was to contact Savannah Ballroom to learn to dance. The moment I walked through the door I was greeted warmly, accepted, and welcomed into my newly discovered dance family. Whatever you are looking for they offer. Initially I wanted to learn social dancing; however, dancing at Savannah Ballroom was so much fun I moved on to competitions. If you want to learn to dance for your wedding, to spend more time with your significant other, to try to get in shape, or because you have always wanted to – this is the place to start! The Instructor are all Certified and professional. Lauren has been an amazing and patient instructor and I am always learning. Fridays nights are Social Dance parties and you have a chance to interact with other dancers in the Studio and practice what you have learned. If you have ever wanted to dance do not wait!

My experience at Savannah Ballroom has been super positive, from the very first time I set foot inside the door. The instructors are friendly, well qualified (all being certified U.S.I.S.T.D.) and take great care to make sure you understand and become comfortable with each dance and your own abilities. They are willing to help you at whatever level you wish to learn, anywhere from social dancing to special event preparation (like wedding dances) to ballroom dance competition. Just as importantly, the other students are welcoming, supportive and eager to help you feel comfortable, and I am so grateful for the new friendships with other dancers, and their smiles each week.

This year I was asked to dance in the Ballroom Extravaganza fundraiser with virtually no experience in dancing, so I went to Savannah Ballroom since the few lessons I had years ago were there with JaeLynn. She and Alonzo are excellent teachers and amazing people. I was impressed with how quickly I learned and how easily they built my confidence to perform in front of judges as well as an audience! JaeLynn worked with me every week until the event, and her patience and encouragement were limitless. If you are looking for ballroom dance lessons, call Savannah Ballroom with confidence and work with two true professionals!

I could give this studio all the stars. They have worked with us for our first dance and the results have been nothing short of fantastic. They guide you through every step and make sure you both are comfortable during the dance. We changed songs halfway through our lessons, they adjusted and the choreography was perfect. Highly recommend. We will go back for more dance lessons.

For those who are wary of dancing in public (even if "public" is one other person), fear not--Savannah Ballroom Dance Studio is here to save the day! Alonzo and JaeLynn are incredibly talented dancers, and they are just as gifted at teaching dance. They worked their magic and choreographed a wedding dance for my husband and me in just 2 weeks, and patiently practiced with us. I had a great time in their studio, and I'll definitely go back in the future!

I’m so disappointed in this place. My fiancé and I got here at 5:15 for our lesson at 5:15, we didn’t start our lesson until at least 5:25 (it was our first time and we were filling out paperwork and our instructor was finishing up with another couple), and we were told our lessons were over at 5:40. We were charged $95 for 15 minutes of lessons.

I danced here for years. Loved every lesson! My instructors became like family. I’ve moved and I miss dancing here so much, can’t find a place that compares.

My son and I took lessons for our mother son dance. Jaelynn was an excellent instructor and work with us to make sure our dance would be the hit of the wedding!

I've been taking lessons at Savannah Ballroom about a year now. I started with the goal of being able to get on the dance floor at my daughter's wedding without falling flat on my face. That may not sound like a lofty goal to some, but for me it was significant. I have some pre-existing injuries that limit my abilities. From day 1, Alonzo & Jaelyn were a pleasure to work with. I started with five lessons with Alonzo. Each lesson was well-organized and filled with invaluable guidance. Alonzo worked with my physical limitations. His patience and compassion helped me through my fears of injury and looking like a fool with two left feet. When Alonzo was out with an injury of his own, Jaelyn stepped in for him and showed the same level of skill and passion for teaching. She helped me to understand more of the subtleties in gesture and form. I have a long ways to go to be able to dance even half as beautifully as Alonzo and Jaelyn. But I achieved my goals of dancing at my daughter's wedding, having a great time, and NOT falling on my face. I've continued lessons because Alonzo and Jaelyn have imparted their love for dance in me and have given me confidence that I will overcome my physical limitations to be able to dance well. And, they are just genuinely wonderful people. Taking the first step and becoming a student at Savannah Ballroom has been one of the best decisions I've made in my adult life. I would easily recommend Savannah Ballroom to anyone! Beyond 5 stars!
