I was treated rudely by the security person at the entrance. I walked in and had nobody behind me, yet this guy immediately felt it necessary to start ordering me around and rushing me. He told me to put my phone and car keys from my pockets into my purse so it could all go on the conveyor belt in a bossy, rude tone of voice. For one thing, I was not moving slowly at all. I had just walked in the door when he started acting like there was some big hurry. Second, there was a guy in front of me putting his stuff on the conveyor belt already, so there wasn’t any reason to rush. I still had to wait my turn. Therefore, there was no reason why I couldn’t have put my keys and phone from my pockets into the little baskets, like I always do and would have preferred. It was more difficult and time consuming to put them in my purse than it would have been to use the baskets. I had to struggle to get the zipper on my big purse to work while holding my bottle of water, because my zipper doesn’t open smoothly anyway and less so in winter cold, and I have arthritis in my fingers. It would have been much faster to put them in a basket. Third, there was absolutely nobody behind me! I was the only one! While struggling with my purse ziper and putting my phone and keys in my purse, I finally asked, “What’s the big hurry?” His response was, “I don’t know. I just like to keep thngs moving.” This was unacceptable treatment of a Polk County citizen coming into our courthouse. This is not the way the front desk staff should be treating visitors. I was dressed appropriately, spoke politely and did not argue with him. I immediately did what he asked. In other words, I was respectful walking in and was not treated respectfully in return. There was no reason to treat me that way. By comparison, the Adel courthouse officer at the front desk could not have been more helpful and pleasant when I went there a few weeks ago. He had the exact same job to do, yet managed to behave with courtesy and professionalism. Our Polk County courthouse security staff should not be treating visitors in this way.

Judge was fair and understanding but everyone at this building needs to be fired. I had court at 9am, my car broke down. I had to Uber. not the courts fault I was late, but the fact that I had called five different times to let them know I was going to be late, and I got transferred every time to a different division because no one could simply just tell the judge I was going to be late and wanted to even listen to my 1 minute call. Eventually I got transferred to the right people, and I spoke to a woman named Ashley. I said, “my car broke down so I’m going to be about 20 minutes late, should I still come or should I reschedule?” Hastily with an attitude, she replies, “Well I don’t know if we’re gonna wait for you but you can come. We have another session at 9:30, but I’m not rescheduling you.” Not rescheduling me? If I needed to be rescheduled, its a constitutional right to be rescheduled. I understand my court session can't overlap with the 9:30, but to tell me you aren’t going to reschedule my restraining order because it’s inconvenient for you is unacceptable. You guys are the deciders of big things in our lives. if you don’t like your job, quit and let someone who cares be hired in your position. I told the judge she was very rude and unprofessional, he said she’s the most professional one here. If that’s true, god bless this building

Foreign agents, committe war crimes, on a daily basic on the American people. Judges, attorneys, have no juridical powers, yet commit treason every day in the court room. United states Codes volume 1 though 54 null and VOID. Prove me wrong. Good luck commies What did Article 3 do? Article III of the Constitution establishes and empowers the judicial branch of the national government. 11th amendment to the United States Constitution no juridical powers. I smell treason by the state judges and attorney's Treason under Military is death by the books. Time to get the military involved.

Have court set for 9 am you get there just to learn the judge won’t come in until at least 930 but could be later.. unprofessional

I mean no one like coming here but after the renovations and improvements it to also even the best in technology, updated interior decorating while preserving history, and genuinely nice staff

All I care about is that people do their job and no BS but they were very helpful. I called ahead of time to make sure that I was heading to the right place for the paperwork I needed and a woman who worked there by the time I got to their office had it ready for me. Don't know her name but she had pink hair and she made it an easy painless process and for that I'm thankful. She made the difference between a good day and a bad one.

Got married on Friday the 20th of may, judge told me specifically it would be at 4:00 to get married and didn’t get married until after 4:30. They’re schedule is very horrible, had a bunch of people before us, very unprofessional.

this was court. I dislike going to court. but there are beautiful murrels inside and detailed trimming. very historical and yet up to date.
