Update: The next time I visited, the owner remember me by my name, apologized and offered a gift card to make up for the experience. I love to support businesses that make it right when things go wrong. Every visit since, we’ve had no issues and we’re happy to continue this place and their yummy food. Original 3 Star - 1/28/22 I write this as I sit here waiting for my order. I hate that this is the review I’m having to write. First, food here is excellent. Really delicious. We love it, which is why we come back time and time again. Staff is always friendly. The trouble now is with so many online order/delivery services available, they seem to be taking on more than they can handle. I arrived after placing an online order with a 45 minute pickup time. I arrived to see a line of others waiting with a backed up kitchen. Obviously the kitchen and staff are working as hard and fast as they can. My problem is that, instead of turning off the 3rd party deliver service for a bit, to limit the orders coming in and allow themselves the time to catch up, they continue to take more orders than they can fill in a reasonable time, leaving customers like me waiting 30 minutes extra for their order. And this wasn’t the first time. No compensation, just an apology, albeit a sincere one. I drive 40 minutes round trip into Boulder for their business. Can they please find a way to make me want to continue coming back? I really want to continue to support this local, family owned restaurant. They may not miss my business, but when you have a hungry family waiting at home, you have to consider who will be able to deliver on time and keep a customer happy.

The food is SUPERB, and the owners are dedicated to their customers. For example, I had a minor issue with my order, and I respectfully brought it to the restaurant's attention via a comment while placing another order the next day. (Yes, I ordered twice in a row. I love this place.) The owners were genuinely concerned, went out of their way to fix the issue, and were sincere in explaining the circumstances. I was touched by their concern for customer satisfaction and the quality of their business's reputation. These are good people—this restaurant is family owned—and I cannot recommend Folsom Thai enough. If you're going to give someone your lunch money, give it here instead of some national franchise.

Totally the worst "service" (if there is any) I've ever received! They let you pay the tips before you even take a seat. No one really serve you, you will need to go to the counter and order yourself, then you will need to help yourself with water, after the meal you will need to clean the table and dishes by yourself. What did I just tip for? They are also educating their customer, one of the signs in the restaurant said: "the world is short staffed, so please be kind to those who showed up." | mean, excuse me???? Is the owner of this restaurant only capable of saying this kind of sarcastic and extremely offensive words like some totally uneducated infant? I will definitely not paying any tips and try my best to avoid this restaurant. And I kindly suggest anyone who see this review do not pay your tip in advance until you finished the meal.

very good food. if you’re not good with spice, don’t go past level 1 or 2 because they don’t play when it comes to spice. i ordered the pad thai and it was delicious, my only criticisms is that for $14+ there should be a bit more food, the portion is on the smaller side. also the tofu doesn’t really soak up the sauce very well so if you pick out a single piece of tofu it’s not gonna taste like anything. that’s not a problem with any of the other proteins though, i also got some chicken in it and it soaked up the sauce and was very flavorful!

I lived in Thailand for a year teaching English. Thai food is one of my favorites. Folsom Thai has the best and most authentic Thai food in Boulder. I love their Pad See Ew, Pad Gra Pow, and all their soups. They nail it!

I've been here twice within the last couple of months, based on a recommendation from a fellow skier who shared a ski lift with me and my friend at Eldora. Wow the food was so so good! I wasn't a big fan of Pad Thai until I stepped inside this restaurant the first time... Their Pad Thai was phenomenal - the noodle had amazing texture and the dish was so flavorful! (Caution: medium level of heat was noticeably hot so go for mild when in doubt.. ). Pineapple fried rice was so yummy... And their green Thai ice tea was very tasty. No, it's not your fancy Thai restaurants with exotic decorations. But this place is clean and fast, and serves fantastic food. The staff behind the counter was friendly. I can't wait to go back soon!

Took way too long for the size of order. Crispy Spring rolls dripping and soggy with grease. Vegan pad Thai had chicken in it. Way too spicy

I’ve been to the rest but now I’ve been to the best. Folsom Thai is heads and shoulders above the competition in Boulder. The food tasted fresh and contained quality ingredients. The taste was comparable to Thai I’ve had on the west coast. After eating there one day, I went back to order again the next day. The product was consistent. I highly recommend that you give this place a try.

Folsom Thai is an awesome place to get a quick meal in Boulder. The prices are very reasonable, the portion sizes are large, and the food itself is delicious. Also, the service is always great and the food comes out super fast. They even have some delicious tea options to sip on while you wait for your food.

We had dinner delivered from here last night. The fairly large order was perfectly accurate, packed nicely, and arrived hot, which is not always the case here in Boulder. Unfortunately, the food itself was not so good. We enjoyed the crispy wontons (8/10, though not even sure if that is Thai food?) but the pad thai (4/10) and the gra prow (5/10) were below average - somehow they were both bland while still having some off-putting flavors. One of us enjoyed the tom kha soup while the other thought it was pretty bad. The chicken satay skewers were super thin, but did taste pretty good. We may try again one day, but won't be ordering the same thing again.

I am a regular here. They are legit the best Thai food I’ve had in colorado. Lots of GF options and when you ask for spice, they bring it. Make sure you give them enough time on your takeout orders, they aren’t lying when it’s a 45 minute wait, but that wait will be worth it!!

Amazing thai food! My go to is Green Curry and it did not disappoint!! They have tons of warnings about spice level on the menu - I found the medium level to be great, not too spicy. I will absolutely be back here!!

Fresh poultry, and produce, simple clean flavor. Excellent service, very fast cook. I do want to add I really wish when ordering a few poultry dishes, I'd rather not taste seafood. Excellent boulder go to for Thai.

Great underground Thai spot in boulder, with all the typical dishes and a great lunch deal. It’s tucked inside of a building complex, located close to Colorado University. They have a great lunch special where you can get a dish, a drink, and an appetizer for a cheap price. The dishes themselves are filling and the portions are good. Lots of seating indoors, and the ordering staff are very nice. If I lived in the area, this would probably be my routine go to Thai spot!

I learned about this place through a mentor I had at CU boulder, and since then I've felt like this place is a gem, I paid 15 for the most delicious Pad Tai I've ever had. Very much recommend to others.

Best Thai in boulder!! I refuse to go anywhere else when I’m in the city. The menu is huge and the staff is great. Our last host, Noelle, offered us amazing service. Thank you Folsom Thai!!!

Food was ok. Ordered from Uber eats. We were staying at a hotel, and asked specifically for utensils and napkins in the instructions. Of course, they put neither in the bag. Please provide utensils so people can enjoy their meal.

Location was a bit difficult to find as there was a ramp that looked like a private entrance from the parking lot, but the food definitely made up for it! It’s a self-seating kind of deal — order at the counter and take a seat wherever, then bus your own table at the end. Food was delicious and authentic! I’d recommend the pad see ew or pad Thai, also really loved their iced Thai green tea.

The family that owns Folsom Thai have been owners of Thai Restaurants for as long as I have been in the surrounding Boulder area - they are as good as it gets, they are consistent, and I am proud to have called myself a customer of theirs for 10 years at this point. Eat at this restaurant, you will not regret it.

Good curries. I love doing pickup from this restaurant. Panang curry and the pad se ew are my two favorites. Great for a quick bite to eat.

@folsomthaiatboulder does have a slightly unusual feel/vibe. It’s like you’re in a basement. To be fair you are—but there are windows and it’s brightly lit and it’s welcoming. I think it has a near to campus—for college student feel. The food was outstanding though. Crab cheese wontons were really good and a big order. Also had chicken pad Thai which was among the best I’ve had in Colorado.

Let's get right to it. The 2 lady's working the front on Oct. 6, 2022 were completely rude.. Straight up ignored me. I guess they were to busy on there phones to notice me 🙄 Lacking those customer service skills.. Food was good but won't go back... not hard to act happy and do your job...

Some of the best Thai food I've had in the Denver/Boulder area. Drunken noodles are amazing and the veggie soup is packed with flavor, ingredients were super fresh too. Definitely coming back the next time im in Boulder

The food is good but pricey. Apart from that, the Asian waitress is helpful when asking but the waiter (non-Asian) is annoying. For example, I asked for cold tea and he said they didn’t serve cold but hot tea. I ordered from them before and I surely know cold tea is available. The tea was too hot and I decided to ask for ice and they have ice lol. I asked for level 1 of spiciness for Hainan chicken fried rice and guess what, he questioned me back how about level 2?? This is very rude and this is why I rate them 2 star.

I had a great experience. I thought the food was very high quality and enjoyed the meal. I dined in and while the atmosphere was casual, it was still nice inside. I would definitely recommend.
