This place was so much fun! I spectated as my wife built her own ring and it was such a hands on and unique experience! Our instructor, Adeline, was very energetic, kind, talkative, knowledgeable, and talented! All of the instructors were great. I’m from the East Coast, and I can see a studio like this doing really well out here. A cool experience for a small group of friends - I would highly recommend!

Update: I feel compelled to update my review when I learned at the end of my experience that their employees all work for tips, meaning they are paid less than minimum wage! The girls who assisted us were very helpful and their skill and service deserves more than minimum, let alone below minimum. The markup on the rings is extremely high, it would not be a stretch to pay the employees decently and I won’t be back because I feel this is an unethical business practice. COST: For the three rings pictured (one gemstone and two stackable) my bill with a 20% tip was $164. This was with me providing my own stone rather than buying one of theirs, getting a $5 discount for writing a (this) review, a buy-two-get-one-free deal that meant one of the stackers was free, AND a 20% off the studio fee because it was my birthday (only counts if it is your actual day of birth) so I basically got every discount possible. If I had purchased one of their stones, it would have been $30-70 additional (which, as an aside, is outrageous, this is marked up literally ten times what you can get them at any gem show for.) Also, as far as the tipping scenario goes here, it’s not like a restaurant where they have many tables they serve over the course of of the evening. Our session was three hours long and we were they only people they helped during that time so it was really just us paying their wage for the evening rather than their employer. I would have added a tip anyway for their good service but I’m dismayed that the business owners have decided that their employees wages should be entirely dependent on the generosity of the patrons. Especially considering how much they mark up every bit of the materials. It was fun, the studio looks nice, and the helpful staff made it very easy, but I won’t be back because I really can’t support the ethics of requiring me to pay an extra $30-$50 on top of my already large bill so the employees actually get paid that day. If you can’t afford to be in business unless you don’t pay your employees, you really just can’t afford to be in business. Original review: (provided for discount) Super fun experience! First timer and I hope to come back!!! This was such a fun experience being able to make your own ring! Adeline was so helpful throughout the whole process. She gave incredible advice and created a sweet space for our party. The experience took about 2 while hours but could vary depending on your party. This place has a lot of options to make different types of jewelry. Such a fun experience to go with your partner, girlfriends or family!

We loved our time at Gem Studio. Cayla was so friendly and knowledgeable. She made sure we loved our creations before we left. I highly recommend this for any occasion.

I took all the girls in the family on a girls trip here and it was so much fun! We got to learn new things, and design something so beautiful that we will always hold dear to this fun new memory we made. We can’t wait to go back!

I've been wanting to make my own jewelry at Gem Studio for a while and finally made it in! It's such a great experience, and you have help silversmithing during the whole process. The staff is so awesome, and it's just so much fun creating your own work of art. I'll be back to make another unique piece soon!

We had the most amazing experience with Caroline as our silversmith. Our 3 young boys were mesmerized with the process of picking out their own gems and being able to customize it to their liking. Caroline was great at teaching us, engaging in conversation, and letting the kiddos be hands on with their creations. She made the experience even more amazing and is an asset to the company. Came to celebrate my cousins 40th birthday! The selection of gem stones was fantastic. So many choices and each was beautiful! The girls that work here are awesome and so friendly! I recommend this for a fun unique way to remember a special occasion! I will definitely be back!

Hands-on experience with an instructor to experience making a fun and custom piece of jewelery. The instructor/silversmith helps you not roast your hand or start the table on fire. Very fun, experience most people will never have otherwise.

I was worried I’d be terrible but the staff is super helpful with a can-do attitude about whatever it is you’re hoping to do with your piece, and totally willing to do the “hard parts”.
