I am mechanically inclined when it comes to repairing the multiple BMWs in my household, but when there are certain repairs I cannot tackle or just simply lazy to do. I would take my BMWs to German Auto. In years past, the former owner/mechanic was awesome. I realized that there are new owners and new mechanics. I have to admit, they are just as awesome as the previous ones. The woman (sorry I did not catch her name) behind the counter and over the phone is so nice and friendly. Very professional and helpful. If I need any repairs for my BMWs. I wii definitely take them to German Auto. Thank you so much.

I had made an appointment the week before for a basic service but the day before I was to bring it in, my alternator went out. No problem, they somehow fit me in to their schedule and had it repaired and serviced very soon after. A great relief to me. Great spot, great service & great people!

John, Liz, and the entire crew of German Auto of Santa Maria are unbelievably knowledgeable about the care and maintenance of analog Mercedes Benz cars that depend on brainpower, skill, and experience as opposed to computer systems to diagnose, repair, and arrange scheduled maintenance. If you have a pre-W124 chassis, German Auto of Santa Maria is THE place to go. Not to mention, they provide the best office coffee in town.

I cannot explain how absolutely amazing these people are! They got things done in a timely manner even without an appointment and they were sooooo nice and very professional. Great Service, Great People! I had not visited German Auto before, but I needed a shop with Mercedes expertise. I was thrilled to be directed to German Auto. Not only did they take care of my mechanical issue promptly (and with friendliness and a smile, which is not always the case) they were most helpful and willing to answer my questions and explain the entire process in a candid manner. The technician working on my vehicle, and Elizabeth at the front desk, were very informative, helpful and most courteous, and they immediately made me feel like family. It was a joy to work with them, and their transparency gave me no misgivings that I normally feel when entering a shop with my vehicle. I will definitely go to them in the future, and I highly recommend them. It is refreshing to find a shop that you do not strike off your list after your first visit, but look forward to visiting again.

I am a 56-year-old man and this is only the second review I have ever given. In 2022 I was cited with a DUI. The best course for me was to get a ignition interlock installed in my car go to work. The closest business to install the unit to me was German auto, lucky for me. I found the staff sympathetic to the position I put myself into. They gave me invaluable knowledge that the interlock company and DMV did not give me. The mechanics were highly professional and eager to give their insight on the inner workings of the device to avoid problems in the future. The path to get myself back on track has been difficult, but my only solace has been I’ve met some exceptional individuals who genuinely wanted to help me.

These people are the worst german mechanics i’ve been to. I brought my Audi a4 to them more than 5 times in a month because my car kept dying, they tell me it’s something with my battery, i get a new battery and it still keeps dying. I do the millions of things they say will fix it and it never fixed my car. They did this when it would only be myself and my mother coming in but as soon as my father stepped into the picture magically my car is back to normal. I had better service from the dude I paid to work on it out of his garage. If you’re having serious car problems do yourself a favor and take it to Rizzoli’s or a dealership.

Got my BMW X5 in same day for an oil change, used Liqui Moly oil and had good customer service. Will come back.
