I
brought
my
Ram
3500
in
for
an
auxiliary
tank
fix
-
the
gravity
feed
that
I
had
originally
installed
was
faulty
and
was
leaking
from
the
filler
neck,
and
I
needed
a
new
gravity
feed
kit
to
be
installed.
I
spoke
to
Krista,
the
office
manager
there,
explained
to
her
that
the
shut-off
valve
did
not
work
and
that
the
hose
clamps
were
stripped
out,
and
she
ensured
that
the
guys
in
the
back
would
replace
all
the
hardware
and
reinstall
it
correctly.
A
little
less
than
an
hour
later,
the
truck
was
ready
so
we
put
25
gallons
in
the
tank
to
test
it
for
leaks.
To
our
surprise,
the
shut-off
valve
had
NOT
been
changed
and
was
still
leaking,
so
I
called
Krista
immediately.
She
said
to
bring
it
back
and
they
would
fix
it
right
away.
It
only
took
about
15
minutes
and
it
looked
like
they
installed
a
new
shut-off
valve
and
new
rubber
boots,
but
the
rest
looked
like
all
the
old
hardware.
On
the
invoice,
they
charged
$250
in
labor
and
$100
for
the
new
gravity
feed
kit.
We
couldn’t
believe
we
caught
them
charging
$350
for
doing
absolutely
nothing!
I
was
forced
to
bring
it
back
again
about
a
year
later
due
to
a
clog.
As
soon
as
I
arrived,
Krista
started
saying
they
would
need
to
remove
the
whole
auxiliary
tank
to
change
out
the
hardware
which
would
take
more
labor
and
cost
more
money.
I
immediately
protested
this
and
could
not
understand
why
they
could
not
just
reach
down
and
unscrew
the
part?!
She
said
“let
me
get
my
tech
and
see
what
he
says”.
The
tech
came
out
front
and
said
there
was
no
need
to
remove
the
tank
for
the
installation,
I
agreed
and
they
took
the
truck
to
the
back
to
work
on
it.
A
few
minutes
later,
a
tech
came
up
front
and
asked
to
speak
to
Krista
so
she
went
in
the
back.
When
she
came
back
she
said
“he
is
installing
your
kit
correctly
because
it’s
installed
wrong,
and
it’s
going
to
cost
you
more
money”
I
asked
her
how
much
and
she
replied
“he
will
let
me
know
after
he
is
done.”
About
30-45
minutes
passed
and
the
tech
came
into
the
office
to
wash
his
hands,
I
said
to
him
that
I
hoped
it
wasn’t
too
messy
of
a
job.
The
tech
then
said
to
me
“whoever
installed
this
gravity
feed
did
it
completely
wrong.”
I
told
him
that
they
were
the
ones
that
did
the
install
and
he
went
on
about
how
Dually
Depot
doesn’t
do
installations
like
that
and
how
they
drill
certain
sized
holes,
use
grommets,
certain
hose
lengths,
etc.
and
how
it
looked
like
it
was
an
obvious
DIY
install.
I
thanked
him
for
the
job
and
info
and
waited
for
Krista
to
come
back.
When
Krista
returned,
she
said
“he’s
charging
you
a
lot,
like
$200.”
I
was
shocked
and
asked
her
to
look
up
the
original
invoice
and
explain
what
we
were
charged
for
originally.
She
looked
it
up
and
the
invoice
clearly
stated
$100
for
the
new
gravity
feed
kit
and
$250
labor
for
installation.
It
was
clear
to
everyone
that
they
did
not
install
the
new
hardware
the
first
time
so
Krista
immediately
offered
a
discount
and
said
it
would
only
be
$100
instead
of
$200.
I
said
that
is
fine,
paid
and
left.
WE
PAID
$350
FOR
A
JOB
TO
BE
DONE
AND
FOUND
OUT
BY
THEIR
OWN
TECH
THAT
THE
WORK
WAS
NEVER
PERFORMED
AND
WE
PAID
FOR
IT
TWICE!
We
were
baited
and
switched
again
when
Krista
told
me
the
final
repair
would
be
$50-$75
over
the
phone,
and
by
the
time
we
left
she
had
it
up
to
$200
for
15
minutes
of
work.
I
cannot
patronize
any
business
that
tries
to
take
advantage
of
their
customers
with
dishonesty
like
this.
They
need
to
get
some
standard
and
transparent
pricing
in
place,
get
estimates
of
work
approved
by
the
customer
first,
and
actually
do
the
work
that
they
charge
you
for.
