I am extremely thankful for Aaron!! Very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful! I was having a time in the screw isle until he came to my rescue. Pretty sure I would have been there a long time figuring it out. Less than 5 minutes he had what I needed, and it worked perfect!

Everyone here has a friendly helpful attitude. Most are extremely knowledgeable, even if they seem a little condescending. The prices are higher than reasonable, so check out the sales in the weekly ads.

Hurricane Charlie destroyed the original Mortons Hardware and insurance assistance is where this new building came from. Mortons was ALWAYS my "go to" resource and since now it's Ace Hardware, it's been about as good... So far. Time will tell thou. Thus far it operates exactly the same and specialists for each department is there to provide assistance, finding and recommending steps, materials and tricks to "get'r done"! It HAS lost its small town feel. With the new larger store but so far so good

I purchased an Ego lawnmower on 08/24/23 from the Sunshine Hardware store in Port Charlotte. Renee was extremely helpful in assisting with my purchase, even helping me load the mower into my car. I would highly recommend shopping at this store.

I always go here for quick things I need like screws,bolts,washers,ect. As they always have whatever size you need and can get any amount. Lots of other items your fixing around the house from plumbing, electrical,even fishing items.

From the moment we walked in we were treated like royalty. Paul looked up our requests for a Treager grill smoker combo. Added a few grilling options, checked into a few other items. Renee gathered our supplies, shared her traeger experiences and off we were. This is one of the most delightful places to shop. Keeping it local! ACE Is the place to go for quality service! Always a great experience every time I go in there. I'm so happy that they are near my home. Why would I go anywhere else? The selection is always spot on but it's the hometown service that never fails to make my day! Shout out to Gayle first for telling me about Make A Wish bucket, allowing me to make a contribution to a worthy cause, but then giving me 20% savings on top of that. She stayed with me throughout my large purchase and then helped carry half of it to my car. Sunshine Ace is my happy place.

10/14/23: At today's foray Hollis went out of her way to get me where I needed to be in the garden department. There I found another Ace branded product perfect for my needs at an excellent price. When checking out, poor Suzie had to brow beat me before I grasped the difference between the coupons at my disposal. I've got it now girlfriend: Black = bucks (literally the same as cash) and Red = reduction in price like the $5 off purchase of $15 or more which really was a nice surprise! If you're not shopping here you're missing out on their stellar service and value. Another outstanding visit. From the sincere greeting upon entering to the treats offered my service dog as we checked out. In between, Rich offered the service I have come to rely on. Offering several options until the best one was landed on. He listened and after saying I'd never worked with concrete, Rich went above and beyond to offer some helpful pointers. Could I have received this level of service in the big box stores? Maybe but only after trying to chase someone down. I've spent 15+ minutes doing that...Ruch approached me when he saw me and offered his assistance. Keep up the excellent service and know I'll always check here first to be sure I give them every bit of my business possible. You should do the same!

Great service , Great staff! Gunny cut a piece of glass for me i had to bring back because my measurements were a sixteenth of an inch off. I didn't think it could of been re-cut that short without breaking the glass or chipping it.. And this was a long 49 inch piece of glass. But Gunny, the guy working there tried to and did it without breaking it .. Fantastic Job.. Great place.

Typical Ace Hardware store. Nice when you only need one or two things and don't feel like dealing with the craziness of Home Depot. BUT... they have very short hours, closes at 6pm 6 days per week and 5pm on Sunday. I work normal hours and usually shop evenings after work so they're always closed when I want to go. Being open until 8 would be nice...

Went into store with questions and Renee had all the right answers and knew exactly where to go in store for what I needed. I may pay a little more, but the customer service is outstanding. Thanks again Renee!!!!

Great hardware department for a tackle shop! Friendly and helpful staff and a great selection of rods, reels, lures and miscellaneous gear. They even have frozen bait now!

Register woman had quite an attitude, and key fob that took 2 weeks to arrive was cut incorrectly and now your website says out of stock 🙄 Need to do some work at this store so you don't keep loosing customers UPDATE: 1st. I would like to thank Mike the owner for reaching out to me and fixing both issues. Then I would like to thank RIch at the store for searching, finding, delivering and making sure the only existing key left was handled properly at there Port Charlotte store on Kings Hwy. And last but not least thank you Terry for cutting and programming a very difficult key and making it perfect. And the woman at the register will be retrained. I will continue to shop at this store because these few people went above and beyond to help us out.

I went into the store totally overwhelmed with my situation. I had locked my electric bike up at Walgreens to quickly grab a couple items and get back home. When I attempted to unlock my bike, I found that the combination had part had somehow jammed and there was no way to unlock the bike. I was stuck!!! I decided to walk over to Ace and attempt to buy some sort of cheap tool that would cut through the cheap lock I had. I didn't want to either spend the money on bolt cutters that chances were, I would never use again nor did I want to ride through town with bolt cutters hanging out of my pocket. I approached a sales associate inside the store. His name is Aaron. I began to explain my situation to him and he told me to "wait" and he would be right back. When he returned, he was holding a big set of bolt cutters and announced to other employees he would be "off the floor" for a few minutes. I felt so relieved. Aaron walked with me to Walgreens and cut right through the lock. And his integrity shined bright when he politely asked me to put the key in the bike to ensure he was not assisting in theft of a bike. Lol I happily obliged. Aaron could have been concerned about the sale of a tool but instead helped me in a time of need. His kindness will not be forgotten and had made me commit to being a loyal customer of this store.

We purchased a Blackstone grill and lots of accessories for our daughter and son-in-law for their anniversary. The grill was delivered with a huge scratch on the canopy. Ace was notified and they redelivered but this time forgot some of the necessary items. Not very happy.

They have a huge selection from fishing's tackle to screen supply screws knots ballz sawblades plumbing electrical pool supplies to random as seen on tv stuff hats you name it they have it there prices on some stuff are high but on others or low like strippers picks that we use for pollen screen there fifteen dollars when they're normally to three bucks but fishing string is half the price of fishing franks
