I learned of this place from my builder who recommended I use them as my supplier of my exterior limestone. Yes, their pricing and product were very good. I really became impressed with them when I started needing materials for my own little projects; walkways, raised flowerbeds, etc. They were very patient with me and once you've learned the weigh-load-weigh-pay routine, you are in and out in no time. Nice folks, great pricing, incredible selection. Glad I live only 13 miles away. Go on a weekday in the late morning and you have the place to yourself.

Both John and Karen Brooks will take the time to find the answers to questions and point us and our clients in the right direction no matter how busy they might be. John and Karen are very hands on and spend many hours making sure their business is run efficiently and with quality customer care in mind always.

Brooks Stone Ranch has a massive rock, gravel and stone selection. Nicole and the staff are very nice, knowledgeable and helpful. Don’t waste time shopping around, BSR has the service and fair prices. We were just purchasing a small amount to enhance our xeriscaped yard with some stone art. We will definitely go back.

They carry a good variety of good materials, but when I went to get some pathway stones for my yard, they told me I had to by the material (on an open pallet) 'by the layer'. In other words, I was supposed to buy a bunch of useless cracked or useless shaped rocks (for my needs) along with the few I could find on a given layer. I thought it was a joke at first. It will be a long time, if ever, before I buy anything from them. This is an absurd business practice basically telling me I have to buy their useless stone to get what I want. That's too bad, they have a lot of other material I could use but, then again, so do several other landscape supply companies.

Please consider purchasing materials elsewhere! These owners are completely ungrateful, rude and talk unprofessionally to and about customers, competitors, and local tradesman. I was warned by many local landscapers, masons and builders about the Brooks, but had a good experience with former employees Wes, Danny, and Gil. They are gone, and so is any remaining customer service that existed. There are better prices, better service, and more appreciation to be found at other local providers, I assure you.

After reading a review posted from Suzy Collins a week ago, which wasn’t really at all helpful, and appeared to only be a politically motivated rant, I wanted to share how “AWESOME” this small, locally owned, family business has been when helping me with my stone, gravel and dirt needs. I’ve known both John and Karin Brooks for many years and have watched their 2 kids grow up; go to college, and now both work in the family business. The Brook’s family lives here, works here, and contributes to this community in a very positive way, both with their time and their money. When it comes to corporate material yard knowledge, they’re 2nd to none. Give them the size of your project and they can quickly click off the amount of material you’re going to need. Not 100% sure what’s best for your project, tap into their vast knowledge on all things stone/grave/dirt related. As mentioned in other reviews, they weigh you in and weigh you out, so you only pay for what you get. Their prices are fair and reasonable, and being locally owned, they stand behind what they sell. Please look past people’s politically motivated remarks and rate an individual or business on their performance. You definitely can’t go wrong with Brooks Stone Ranch, shop local.

I have used this company several times In the past. Pretty nice set up. Nice scale to weigh everything. Very fair prices and always a joy to work with….I’m posting this review for the fact that Suzy Collins gave a business a bad 1 star review for political differences. I then review her other reviews and she does this on a regular. It’s pathetic that she would say she doesn’t hold other people opinions against them but then does. It’s a pathetic attempt to harm a good business no matter what the political beliefs are for all involved. Shame on your review. Next time make the review about the service not your hate for Trump.

Love this place! This is THE place to go for all your landscaping/garden needs. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable; even if you have no idea what you’re doing, they will help you figure out the best plan of action and material for your project. Fantastic customer service!

We have been buying flagstone from Brooks Stone for over 5 years now and we highly recommend them. The staff is very helpful and friendly and we are always impressed on how clean and organized they keep the stone yard. Excellent!!

Years ago, my dad and I used to get holey rock for our aquariums that we built and maintaned. We have been coming back for years because of the selections, prices, and helpfulness. This weekend is Easter and they were understandably closed today. I called on Friday and told them I am from McAllen so I wasn't going to to make it in time so the lady that answered said she would leave me the price sheet outside the gate so I could see. My wife and I have a few projects we wanted to do. They are very helpful and very kind. I really like coming here, even just to look around.

After reading thru reviews, I am wondering why my trip to this business was not like the rest, mine was horrible. Was told one thing by one staff, then three staff told me something different. Then after 30 min sweating my behind off with none of their assistance I received a lecture from another staff. Maybe good customer service and assistance is saved for their bigger customers, sure wasn’t there for this lowly homeowner.

Great customer service! I ordered 16 yards of topsoil and the representative at the counter did an excellent job helping me figure how much I needed. She scheduled my delivery and called me 2 days prior an asked if I would like it delivered a day earlier since it was supposed to rain on the delivery date. They delivered on the rescheduled date and I was able to get the topsoil spread before it rained. Thank you for this outstanding experience!

I have done business with Brooks Stone Ranch a number of times over the years. Extremely courteous and professional people who are authorities on all things stone! They are even willing to educate you on the different types of stone and what would be best for your particular application.

I went here and ordered a load of rock to be delivered. When I was leaving, I saw a SUV covered with stickers supporting Trump. I went back inside and asked if that was her SUV. She said it was so I told her to cancel my order. She said she would never accost anyone for having a different opinion. I told her I absolutely would never do that either but Trump called for an insurrection and tried to destroy our democracy. I am a patriot. I respect our constitution and our country and can’t respect anyone who wants to destroy it.

We owned the Lambsrest Inn BB for 22 years and Brookstone was so helpful about a small load or a truck load.. They were patient with us when we had no idea how to compute the amount or the type that would be the best choice for each of our projects. We recently used them for our backyard and fire pit area.
