Recommend stopping here for brochures on the parks, monuments, and towns in the area. However don't rely on what the staff tell you at this center, call the park instead. We were told we wouldn't get into one of the caves but when we called they had plenty of openings. Thankfully we didn't change our plans before calling.

Purchased my US Forest Trail Pass here. Nice facility with helpful staff. Lots of information about the Black Hills destinations.

Staff could be better informed on the trail permits they sell. Nice visitor center otherwise and staff was friendly.

Pleasant folks with answers for the tourists and a 3-D map of the Black Hills to give one a sense of the topography. Clean bathrooms a plus and brochures out the ying-yang. The free old fashion state map is a perfect souvenir and doubles as a real map.

We stopped in here and spoke with Jessica. She may have been the friendliest and most helpful person I have ever met. The information she gave us formed the basis of our entire time in the Black Hills. She gave us recommendations based on personal experience with the various attractions and venues.

I tell you. These ladies are awesome. So awesome they should get a free lunch everyday. They will explain to you everything you need to know when you ride in the black hills, been going there every year to grab my off road. Permits.

These folks went out of their way to make phone calls to verify road info that we'd found on Google. Also gave us a detailed map and insider info on the best routes to take through the nearby parks. Other than that, it's a huge gift shop with very clean restrooms.

I expected more. They didn't have much Visit Rapid City information. So, I had to go downtown to get what I wanted. Staff was minimally friendly. Yeah, I was a little disappointed.

I went in here today just to check it out and they had a 3D topographical map of the Hills with points of interest that light up. It was a cool perspective compared to paper maps but there was 1 point about dead center between Deerfield Lake and Jewel Cave without a label and I can't think of what it could be? Lots of info on everything you can do in the Hills can be found here though. Neat place
