Alia is kind, caring and so knowledgeable. My husband and I loved her from the beginning and always felt so safe and comfortable with her. She is passionate about birth, babies and women and that was always shining through during our prenatal care, birth and postpartum. Every visit we had with her she took her time to answer every question and always made me feel like she had all the time in the world to talk with me, which was very comforting. Appointments with her are like getting together with a friend that just happens to know a lot about birth. We had some unforeseen health issues with our son after he was born and Alia was prepared and handled it. She always remained calm and reassured us everything was ok. We had a hospital birth with our first and after our home birth experience with our second, we would choose it again with a third and we would choose Alia as our midwife. Where do I even begin?!?? My experience with Kinship midwifery was truly remarkable. Going thru the experience of birthing my first baby, during a pandemic at that, you want a medical professional by your side who cares about the comfort and safety of you and your baby. From my prenatal appointments to post I felt so completely heard and informed on what my experience would be like. And if ever I needed anything outside her scope Alia has some great referrals to people in the birthing community. Making my pregnancy/breastfeeding journey that much more comfortable. Even with the early arrival of my daughter Alia was there with so much support and care. I was able to have the people I cared about most with me during my birthing time including my mother and husband, I can’t imagine going thru it limiting who I want surrounding me. That was my biggest takeaway, my birth was completely focused on my needs, comfort and letting my body run it’s natural course of bringing my daughter into this world, into our world, in the comfort of our own home. I loved absolutely everything about my birth!! Postpartum care under Alia‘s watch was also a dream, it was comfortable and informative. Postpartum body especially you want someone who pays attention to the details, keeping you informed of what to expect. Both my mother and I were so impressed by her wealth of knowledge, even my mother, a mother of 5 learned so much from her. Alia truly had my best interest at heart throughout the entire experience and in a time when you are completely vulnerable and about to enter a whole new journey of life you want someone like her on your side. I am so extremely grateful for her practice and I would highly recommend to any family member or friend!!!

I can't speak highly enough of Alia. Our prenatal visits were thorough, educational, and I think most importantly fun! Alia was great with our older baby, giving him special attention so he felt part of our visits, which meant the world to us. She is big on making sure you are informed on all of your options for care, and testing, and always makes she makes sure she has your consent, which I found to be lacking in typical OB care. I really appreciated that care wasn't just given to me and my feelings but my partner as well. We always looked forward to seeing her. When it came to the big day, we felt so safe with her. She knows how to let birth unfold without interfering but will give you the strength and coaching to get you through it. We felt so loved and taken care of through our entire pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Having those post partum visits days and weeks later makes such a huge difference in recovery, knowing you and your new baby are being cared for and checked on is really special. If we were to have more babies I couldn't imagine doing it without her! We love you Alia!

After some extremely uncomfortable prenatal appointments at a local clinic in our area we decided to go with a good friends recommendation to have a consultation with Alia. We had very little knowledge about midwifery and home birth and were skeptical upon arrival to our appointment. Within the first 15 minutes of asking questions and getting to know Alia, a blanket of tranquility came over us. All our anxious thoughts about birth were put to ease and we literally almost fell asleep on her couch during the appointment (lol). As we floated on a little cloud out of her office, my fiancé and I looked at each other and just knew she was it. We received nothing but the best prenatal and postnatal care from Alia and her team. At every appointment she was prompt, poised, professional and somehow still made it feel like we were meeting up with our fairy godmother. She was ALWAYS available for me reach out to and when it was "go time" she guided me through every step of labor, got to me when I needed her, and helped make my dream of a water birth come true. Alia and her assistant midwife Nikki managed me post birth with so much gentleness and compassion, as if they were my own family. I loved each and every moment I spent with these women and truly feel like they have empowered me in a way that has changed my outlook on birth and motherhood. They care about the birth you want and will do all they can to make it possible. My advice is, don't even hesitate to consult with Alia and her team, and definitely don't wait until your 30 weeks pregnant to do so. You'll be cheating yourself.

Alia is both kind and professional, personable and competent, encouraging and reassuring. During prenatal care and birth her gentle presence and professional expertise made me feel at ease, both socially and medically. This was our fourth baby but first home birth and we are so thankful to have had Alia as our midwife!

I don't even know where to begin! I can't recommend Alia enough. She and her student, Zoe, were knowledgeable but had ears for listening. They always made me feel like I was in full control of my birth plan and gave me options at every single step. I never felt that I had to explain myself or sugar coat what I needed. Each appointment was like getting together with a friend. I had dreamed of my own home birth since I was a little girl and saw my first birth, and I don't believe it would have been the same without Alia and her unwavering strength and encouragement and knowledge from our first appointment at 6 weeks pregnant, to birthing my sweet baby boy in my bed. I tell everyone I know to call her the second they get pregnant! Before I even had decided to hire her as my midwife, I had a scare one night when I thought I was miscarrying, and the only person I wanted to call was her, so I did. We had only talked once prior, but she was there to answer the phone and talked me through the most terrifying moments of my pregnancy. I knew she would be the one to deliver my boy. After my birth, I had the worst postpartum I could imagine, including rare breast abscess that lead to minor surgery. She walked me through breakdowns and struggles. She came to help me clean and redress my wound, and held my hand as I cried through feedings. I can go on and on. We love you Alia!

Alia was my midwife for my 3rd child and she provided great care for us. She was attentive and knowledgeable. Really easy to talk to; making it easy to bond with and trust her. She also has a compassionate heart and a true gift for caring for mammas and babies. I would recommend her for sure.

I am truly blessed to have had Alia as my midwife for my first pregnancy and the birth of our beautiful daughter. Alia was kind and thorough every time we met and always took the time to answer all our questions. She’s not only extremely knowledgable and skilled but also wise, confident, attentive and sensitive. Her encouragement and support meant the world to both my husband and I. We felt so comfortable and safe with her which made all the difference in creating our dream home birth. She believed in me 100% and she empowered me to trust in my own intrinsic mama strength! It was a delight getting to know her and we miss seeing her! Honestly can’t say enough good things about her and I can’t wait to have her by my side for our second child someday!

Alia was amazing! She wasn't even my main midwife but came to my birth on her own time to support me! It was such a relief to have such capable and loving people surrounding me, especially since my midwife and doula left when I transferred to the hospital during the delivery of my son 3 years ago. She was such a calming and knowledgeable presence. I highly recommend using her as your birth provider.

Alia is so good at what she does. You can truly tell that she has a passion for midwifery! She is more than just my midwife, she is my friend, not to mention my son also loves her so much as he got to know her at all of our prenatals! She made the birth of my dreams possible by individualizing my care and taking the time to really get to know me throughout all of our prenatal visits. I’m so glad I hired her and cant wait for my next birth to start this journey with her again!
