I have worked out at Varsity House Gym for 12+ years. First as a high school athlete, then a Division 1 football player, and now as an adult. Joe Riggio, Dan Goodman, and the rest of the incredible staff do an impressive job of meeting its members tremendously diverse fitness goals. As an athlete, they helped me put on the muscle mass I needed to be successful in football, and then as an adult, after my athletic career ended, they helped me lose the weight to achieve a lean body. I have participated in many of the programs the Gym offers, including the 6 Week Transformation, 21 Day Detox, and the Annual Michael LaViola Foundation Strongman Challenge. Varsity House Gym does a great job of fostering an inviting and friendly feeling for all of its members. I recommend this gym to anyone looking to improve his/her basic fitness or athletic performance.

I have been a active member at Varsity House Gym since 2010. I will never forget the first workout I ever completed, because I had never trained in the environment that Varsity House has come to perfect. Varsity House Gym is far more than dumbbells, barbells, and benches. In the 9+ years I have been training with this group of coaches, I have experienced almost every type of training offered, from strength and conditioning for high school football, to strongman style workouts, to training for collegiate track and field, to training for the Marine Corps, and beyond. The atmosphere that Varsity House has brought into a training environment is unlike anything established in the tri-state area. Every coach is personally invested in YOUR success. Since becoming a member of this gym, I have gone through multiple physical transformations. From athlete to active adult to Marine, I have achieved countless goals in strength, speed, and endurance, because I have trusted in the training process that Varsity House has spent countless hours striving to make the very best for each and every one of us. The level of dedication that comes from the coaches is only matched by the level of energy that clients put out at every workout because they WANT to be here. Varsity House Gym has the widest range of clients of any gym that I have ever observed. Everyone from middle school boys and girls, to athletes of every sport and level, including the National Football League, to adults and seniors looking to retain or reclaim their fitness. Every client of the gym is able to participate in the various training programs, including special accommodations if necessary. Regardless of what level of fitness you are, or what your goals are, Varsity House Gym is personally invested in your success. They eat, breathe, and live their core values of being HUNGRY, HUMBLE, and COMMITTED. I would not be where I am today without the help of Joe Riggio, Dan Goodman and every single coach that proudly represents Varsity House. I am #teamVH for life. And you should be too.

My wife and I have been training at the Varsity House for over 2.5 years. I can honestly say this is the best gym, by far, that I have belonged to!! All of the trainers and staff get to know you and are top notch! The classes and programs they put together are challenging, but will work to everyone's abilities. The facilities, equipment are all good. During this pandemic, they have been generating great content to help keep us healthy and motivated! I would highly recommend the Varsity House to anyone looking to make a change to their lives!

The most elite training facility in the nation equipped for both the youth athlete to professional. Varsity House has changed my life. I am going to turn 40 looking and feeling the best I have in my life. The community, professionalism, coaching, facility and literally every aspect of this gym is world class. Truly one of the best gyms on the planet! I can’t recommend it enough.

VH has been top shelf awesome for my boys to help burn off adolescent energy, stay in shape, and learn life long fitness lessons from the great staff. Their dad has also been inspired to take up training. Highly recommended.

I started at VH about a month ago and I'm already feeling the results. Coaches are great and the schedule is flexible. Small groups with the just the right level of intensity and adjustable to each person. Good atmosphere.

I have been a member since December 2022 and have been very happy with my experience. Every coach is welcoming and every coach knows their stuff. You don't need any workout experience or specific strength level to start- they meet you where you are and build on it. If you show up and do the work, you'll see it pay off. You might even have fun while you do it.

Great regiment.. Varies daily.. Always have to be on your game.. Kat always gives good direction and help along the way… and is always encouraging. You go for an hour and work for an hour! You know you worked when you leave there! I have been to other trainers.. This Rocks!

I recently completed 5 sessions with Kat and it was an absolute blast. Now that's not to say Kat didn't make me work, which she absolutely did however she did it in a way that was right for me. I would highly recommend those on the fence about checking out Varsity to do it. Kat has a great understanding of body movements and she demonstrates that through the variety of exercises she can give you. To that end, she worked around some chronic injuries and still made a material impact on my goals.

I wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for this incredible gum! I cannot say enough good things about the top-notch staff, challenging and fun workouts, and overall positive atmosphere. Every time I walk through the doors, I feel motivated and excited to push myself further towards achieving my fitness goals. In particular, I must give a shoutout to my personal trainer, Steph. Her dedication to helping me reach my goals is truly amazing. Her customized workouts and unwavering commitment to my success have already produced noticeable results. I am so grateful to have her on my team. Thank you again for all that you do to make Varsity House such an exceptional gym. Keep up the excellent work, and I am already looking forward to my next workout!

Varsity House is a great place to train. Everyone on the staff knows your name. The trainers get you results (if you put in the work). They also genuinely care about their clients. Coach Mike has been has been helping me regain everything that I have lost due to months of not training. If you want a knowledgeable, caring and hard working trainer(s) then go to Varsity House.

Coach Alex is one of the most energetic and committed strength coaches I have ever had. Her daily check-ins and valuable input has helped shape me to the athlete I am today. I totally recommend speaking and training with her. She has helped me reach and surpass my training goals. Training with her for the past 3 years, I have noticed an exponential amount of growth in the gym that has greatly impacted my everyday life as well as on the field preparing to play Division I Softball.

Varsity House is a leader in the fitness and training industry. Their dedication to clients is evident day in and day out. The coaches/trainers are focused on creating training plans individually tailored to each person with careful consideration to the individual’s goals and any injuries or physical limitations that may be present. The community is outstanding and uplifting and the energy is incredible. If you’re looking for a high energy place to workout with a dedicated and creative team, look no further.

From the day I started, which was actually early September, I have felt extremely motivated and well instructed on how to get myself back into shape at 53 years old. I am very early in my journey, but I feel for the first time in many years that I have found the right place with the right team. All of the coaches are supportive and knowledgeable. Light years ahead of your local “gym”. Thank you Orangeburg Varsity House!

Varsity House is like home. Every staff member is warm and welcoming. You’re always greeted by name. Workouts are tailored to your needs and there are additional options to add on if you’d like such as nutrition, stretch therapy, etc. If you’re looking for a personable and comfortable environment while continually being challenged - this is the gym for you.

A gem of a gym! My trainers are supportive, fit women and the vibe is friendly, fun and challenging. Workouts vary so it’s always interesting. Sessions are well organized and go really fast. The FREE session was a great introduction. I haven’t felt this good in 10 years, and I’ve lost 5 pounds too. If you’re on the fence, just call and ask for free session. It’s worth it. I LOVE this place and think you will, too.

This hasn’t been my longest gym relationship (I’ve tried a bunch) but it is definitely the most sustainable one. While I am someone that is relatively organized and finds comfort in structure and information, I was never good at translating this into a workout regimen. I am glad I found VH through my friend Christy. The Coaches here have really helped me prioritize health and fitness by allowing me to focus on making the time and putting in the work. Coach Mike has helped me find that organization and information in the daily programs he provides and guides. Each day is new and each workout is unique to me. It’s also really encouraging to walk into a place where everyone is 100% motivated and driven towards a goal. I made every excuse possible not to exercise. 1) “I’m not fit for the gym.” - I’ve learned over time that health and fitness may come in all shapes and sizes. 2) “I don’t have time.” - It really does take a village to care for children and I’ve grown to accept this and ask for help. 3) “It’s too expensive.” – When my doctor mentioned maintenance medication for hypertension, I thought no way, I’m too young, and I’d rather invest in myself and the skills of others (rather than a pharmacy). My physical AND mental strength is priceless. Thanks to VH and my Northern Valley mom squad in the back left 😊!
