This is a great office once you get past the front desk. The staff there are untrained and quite rude. The woman up front was new and instead of being humble she was ignorant to say the least. The experience we’ve had the last few appointments were totally different than what we received from the service today. She had no care to each customer or their needs. Militant service isn’t great for those in pain and seeking assistance. Once you get to the back there are great doctors and assistants that make you feel cared for and informed on your progress along the way. However they can expect a few emails from me about how I was treated by the front desk. Despicable.

Dr. Kingston has been my mother’s doctor for years. She just had her knee replacement surgery done yesterday. I am also his patient. The kindest physician I know. I’m a staff at Sentara Careplex so I know most of the physicians. He’s the best, hands down!! My deepest gratitude.

I would love to give my review concerning my experience with PA Furlong. I needed help. I was experiencing pain that was dealt with on a day to day basis. She helped me reach the decision to have surgery. The professionalism and care she gives as well as Dr. Mason is unmeasurable. The Team did a great job! Thank you Dr. Mason and PA Furlong for a wonderful surgery.

I have had 3 knee surgeries with Dr sablon,and 2 surgeries with Dr maloof,matter of fact recovering now from bone spur removal achillies tendon repair,2 very good Dr's iam very happy with them as well as the staff,thank you for all you do. Thanks Lisa north.

Horrible, misdiagnosed my right arm as nothing wrong that he could see from the X-Rays, brushed it off as nothing and sent me on my way in pain! I was recommended to TO from an Urgent Care Doctor for 6 days of Physical Therapy to my injured arm, which I never received. I still suffer with pain from the arm injury hoping it will heal on its own without Physical Therapy. Also, I work hard at regaining my trust in Medical Doctors. There are some good thorough ones left I do believe! So, I am back to square one in search of a good Orthopaedic Doctor. I will never recommend or return to Tidewater Ortho for care. I love me!

I can’t express in words how grateful I am for Dr. Kingston and Ben Gessler which is shocking because I have the gift of gab. But seriously before my knee replacement surgery one night of dancing would result in an emergency room visit and now I can dance the night away pain free and effortlessly. They have been very clear and direct with all procedures and treatment information. Their staff is awesome and makes you feel comfortable and at ease. I am a proud supporter of Tidewater Orthopedics and always will recommend to anyone who asks. Thanks again!!!

Very impressed with their quick appointments and setting up the test (MRI & XRAYS) SAME DAY. They have a specialist for every part of the body, whether itay be knees, hips, ankles, elbow, etc. In our case, my son required a UCL surgery. They set up his surgery. Post op, pre-op, and didn't miss a beat. Extremely thorough and all the staff was pleasant. Would highly recommend ❤️

Ben deserves his 5 stars and then some. He provided such wonderful care. In my short time there he proved himself highly knowledgeable and capable. More importantly he understands how to communicate and support his patients. I really believe that comes natural to him so I found him to be authentic and genuine as well. Thank you Ben and your entire staff that worked efficiently to ensure an easy going process.

Dr. Sablan, his PA and nurse were AMAZING! Super nice and friendly. However, the ladies at the front desk are rude and impolite. My very 1st visit I didn’t even get a “hello”. She automatically asked “did you pay your copay online?”. They are constantly rolling their eyes and huffing and puffing. This last visit I asked for a Dr note for work. The lady responded “well go ahead back and get it 🙄”, while I was on crutches, and had no access to the door as I don’t work there and don’t have a badge. This was at the Hampton office.

Upon arriving on time for my appointment, I waited 38 minutes before getting called back. Once I was in the treatment room I got my x-rays and then waited an additional 45 minutes until the doctor came in. The doctor was very knowledgeable, listened to my concerns and provided good feedback but when it was time for me to get a shot he didn’t come back and I had waited an additional 40 minutes until finally I couldn’t wait anymore and just got up and left. Whenever I would ask the nurses did they know how much longer it would be they just said he went in another room and did not know. I was confused why I wasn’t just finished up before the doctor went to another room when the nurse brought all the shot stuff with him in there. My time was not valued at all. Had I been late to my appointment though, I would have had to reschedule.

Mr Ben is very knowledgeable of the entire process of the procedure of injecting medicine into my left knee.. I hardly feel the needle going into my knee. I am very impressed & he is also friendly with a good sense of humor.

I had a hip replacement performed by Dr. Higgins and I cannot say enough good things about the care I received. He and his staff took the time to review the procedure with me and make sure I was fully prepared. After surgery their physical therapy department helped me to recover. Everything about my experience exceeded my expectations and I doubt I could have received better care anywhere. One thing I could not help but nice was that everyone I encountered here was genuinely caring and cheerful. It is a good and confidence inspiring combination.

This facility puts money ahead of healthcare in ALL instances. They will not even talk to you or provide care if you owe them even a few dollars that insurance didn’t cover. They have canceled procedures even when payment arrangements were in place because they were too incompetent to realize it. When FINALLY they are forced to see their error they say “oh well…reschedule!!!” Go to a facility that cares about patients more than $$$$$

I had total shoulder replacement surgery for my left shoulder performed by Dr. Sablan. I also had a slight tear of my rotator cuff which he repaired. He is an outstanding surgeon who worked with me throughout the process. He is highly personable and professional. The surgery was performed in mid-May, and I was able to return to golf in late July thanks to his fine work as well as the efforts of the Tidewater Orthopedics Physical Therapy team in their Williamsburg office. I can not say enough good things about the help an guidance I received from Rachel, Katie and Hannah regarding my recovery. They showed me how to do the exercises properly which I did twice each day in my home in addition to the work I did in their facility. They gradually helped me progress in the exercises which allowed me to show improvement in my mobility on a daily basis. I am truly thankful to Dr. Sablan, Rachel, Katie and Hannah as they have enabled me to "get back in the game" so quickly. I highly recommend them to those who may be in need of this type of surgery as well.

Excellent Dr. Pleasure to deal with and good at his job. He’s operated on both my shoulders and even though I’m still healing I can already feel improvement in range of motion. Still a bunch of physical therapy to go but I’m optimistic. My wife had her knee done here by a different Dr and we both recommend Tidewater Orthopedic to everyone.

Davina was exceptional. She kept me informed from the very beginning after I got my imaging results about my recovery/rehab plan. Would definitely recommend people to this practice again for the great patient care.

I've received nothing less than great care from everyone at Tidewater Orthopaedics. It really was an incredible place to have my injury repaired. The process was made simple and the attention to my fix and healing process was the focus from everyone. I'm still in the healing process but so far it's been a relief to receive such good care, particularly during this time in my life.

The staff at Tidewater Orthopedics is simply amazing!! I had a total knee replacement in November 2020 and from my first day of therapy, they made me feel welcomed, I knew I was in good hands. They helped me through some of my hardest days, always professional. always patient. The Therapy team is highly skilled in the latest techniques and their energy and excitement during treatment is contagious. Recovery can be different for everyone, and they understand that. Thank you Tidewater Ortho for pushing me, encouraging me, and providing me with tools I needed during my recovery. I would recommend this group to anyone!!!

Dr. Robert Mason did my shoulder surgery about 7 days ago. Very good physician and a good experience. I would use them again. I got follow up calls from the surgery center and from the surgeon as well. Healing nicely and have no complaints.

My visit was very successful. Ms. Lawrence was very nice, professional and made sure I understood everything she was explaining to me about my up coming surgery. I am very happy with my appointment and Tidewater Orthopedics.

The team of Davina Gillespie (Nurse Practitioner) and Paul Maloof (Surgeon) at Tidewater Orthopaedics are courteous and professional. They are very approachable and quick to provide feedback regarding any questions and/or concerns you may have or are experiencing. I’ve had 1 foot 🦶 surgery and I’m about to go in for another that has to be done.

This whole experience has been the most pleasant experience I've ever had when dealing with this very painful and stressful unexpected incident. Davina Gillespie was very gentle and informative. She has great mannerism when dealing with patients.Everyone at Tidewater Orthopedics was first class from the first office visit, too surgery and follow-up. I can't give them enough praises. My recovery is coming along great and the staff actually listen to you as a patient. I would have no problem referring anyone to. Dr. Maloof, professional and skillful. I had to wait for a little longer than usual to be called back to see my doctor, but everything was okay and it went very well. My doctor is very good. He give me his full attention I really like him..

Very professional and courteous staff. Especially FNP-C Davina Gillespie. She makes each visit comfortable, she's very knowledgeable, and even though I was extremely nervous waiting for my MRI results, she did a great job of explaining the injury and offering multiple options for treatments. A calm spirit and an absolutely awesome person.
