I
got
my
start
in
Judo
at
Wall
2
Wall,
back
when
it
was
in
the
Fredericksburg
Eagle
Village
shopping
center
10+
years
ago.
I'll
never
forget
Sensei
Chuck's
approach
to
teaching,
providing
detailed
instruction
while
balancing
both
Eastern
and
Western
approaches
to
Judo.
Here
I
learned
the
fundamentals
of
Judo,
how
to
become
a
better
training
partner,
and
how
it
can
help
one
become
a
better
person.
At
Wall
2
Wall,
I
was
privileged
to
learn
and
experience
French,
German,
and
of
course,
Japanese
styles
of
the
art
from
visiting
instructors
hailing
from
those
countries.
Training
was
an
authentic
Judo
experience.
Also
learned
much
more
about
traditional
focus
on
Judo
from
Grandpa
Sensei
(Sensei
Charlie,
Sr.),
when
he
visited
and
taught
from
time
to
time,
getting
very
high-value,
high-level
insights
not
only
about
training,
but
how
to
get
the
most
out
of
one's
training.
I
was
fortunate
to
witness
the
transfer
of
Judo
locations
to
the
current
sight.
We
began
training
safely
in
all
kinds
of
weather,
as
kind
of
an
old-school
way
of
becoming
attuned
to
Judo
for
all
environments,
as
Sensei
Chuck
reinvested
into
greater
physical
training
and
conditioning
regiments
to
help
all
students
grow
stronger
for
Judo
and
life.
Sadly,
I
had
to
move
further
away
about
5-6
years
ago
and
could
not
reliably
attend
classes
on
time,
but
appreciate
that
I
have
been
able
to
spend
a
number
of
consecutive
years
forming
my
Judo
experience
and
even
entering
first
Judo
competions.
If
you're
going
to
bring
your
children
to
Judo
class
at
Wall
2
Wall,
I
would
highly
recommend
you
attend
adult
classes
as
well.
It
will
not
only
help
your
children
feel
connected,
but
Judo
can
improve
your
life
as
well.

Best
wishes
on
you
and
your
families
Judo
journey!
