I was referred to this office by my dermatologist from the hospital, my hospital clinician wasn't able to see me because of a heavy patient volume in their office. He sent me to the right facility. I was able to get in same day and have same day care done on a skin issue that needed urgent resolution to avoid future risks or advancement in the condition. First impression through the door: The office is big, this is as large as the entire center for specialty care that I was going to, but they only do dermatological care. If that doesn't tell you the office is massive then maybe the fact they have 20+ exam & service rooms should be enough to tell you they have a lot of space to accommodate high availability. The office is a comfortable modern atmosphere throughout. Clinicians: The clinicians here are truly gems, they were very caring and cautious around my sensitivities and made sure that the surgical experience was comfortable. The staff kept me informed of every step in the procedure and I didn't need to do sedatives because of the delicate hand that worked the scalpel. Care availability is extremely high, same day appointments are very much a possibility for urgent care needs. I was seen same day and the surgery was done in the same room during the same visit. This was by far the most comfortable dermatological urgent care & surgery I have ever had. I strongly recommend Derick Dermatology if you're in need of urgent or chronic care services. The availability is what really astonished me and scored a massive point with me. The care team only added more points to their score and the comfortable atmosphere made it an emotionally comfortable experience.

Love the staff at this location, everyone is really nice, always helpful and incredibly thorough when discussing treatment plan options. They really listen to you and work with you to figure out what the best options are for what ever your skin care/treatment needs may be. I would recommend the Arlington heights location *specifically* to anyone !

The entire experience at Derick Dermatology - all locations has been outstanding. The staff makes you feel at ease. All questions are answered, and explained so that you understand exactly what is being done. Dr. Sheehan is not only exceptional at her profession, she also has a wonderful bedside manner. 5 stars all the way around.

I have gone here twice and I'm unfortunately not too impressed. Nothing they prescribe me works. I feel like I'm paying money for nothing. I also feel that my appointments are too casual and are not very detailed and thorough in their explanations concerning my skin problems. Also, they don't even have me see a dermatologist, rather just a PA. All in all, I have a better chance resolving my skin needs myself.

I would give a 0 but can’t. This place discriminates. Last year I had a good insurance plan and haven’t seen them since. So today I made an appointment and it was a week out, I said great! But when I told them I have new insurance they told me to update it with them threw an app they sent via text. 3 hours later I get a phone call saying since your using my new plan which is Medicaid now instead of my appointment being a week out, now it’s 6 months out. Totally discriminating people with low income. If you don’t want to accept Medicaid just say you don’t. Shame on this place and the airhead lady who called me to tell me this. Discrimination is wrong, can’t wait to get a lawyer involved.

I had been a patient there for a good 6 years if not more. Their billing department gets 0 stars. My PA Jenny Brophy gets 5, but given the latest treatment I had to balance it out at 3. I’m not sure if your health insurance covers dermatology 100% but mine sure doesn’t. Also, I go regularly as I have hidrentitis supparativa. It can be an excruciating condition at times. The first time this happened I was making payments on a relatively large bill regularly as I was getting notices and mid-payments I get a letter in the mail threatening they are going to send me to collections. I called and the person I spoke with told me not to worry about it, that everything is fine. I made 3/4 payment on my last bill and apparently forgot I had a balance as I received NO notice via email or mail until another nice note from this place came through indicating they have made SEVERAL attempts to contact me for payment yet not one call, email or piece of mail and informed me they will no longer see me as a patient. Well, if that’s how you want to do business, in an inflated economy that’s fine. I mailed them a CHECK for the balance that week with their letter back. I will go see a Doctor, one of several in my area who specializes in my condition. If you’re looking to go here I absolutely recommend Jenny, I absolutely adore her! Keep in mind you’ll see a PA for the most part, not a doctor and the awkward thing is there’s always a tech in the room too taking pictures or notes so it gets uncomfortable at first until you get used to their system when you have to show body parts, etc.

I just love Derick Dermatology and each one of their providers and team members. I have been to several different offices over time and my experience in Arlington Heights was nothing short of spectacular. The check-in was quick and easy, the wait time was brief. Working with Jordyn (Medical Assistant) and Casey (PA) was great. They were both super personable, kind, and warm. They were knowledgeable and explained all of my options and what procedures were going to take place. While I'm still "on the mend" I am healing wonderfully and scarring will be minimal. I also had the opportunity to use their pharmacy services and that too was a great experience and saved me a separate trip to my pharmacy. Thank you to Dr. Derick and your wonderful team! You have a customer/patient for life!!

While I like the services that Derick derm offers, they should really learn to better manage appointments. I have undergone tattoo removal there and they have cancelled more than one appointment. Then today I show up for an appointment and my appointment was cancelled and never communicated. No one called and I received an appointment confirmation text. Apparently the laser they use is down and they aren't sure when it will be back up. Sounds reassuring. Lots of other options out there so chose better folks! I will not be continuing any services with them after I finish my tattoo removal.

Dr. Thompson was great. He took his time, listened to me & addressed all my concerns. The cream he prescribed for my psoriasis is working great. I am very happy with the service.

I love the staff! They are polite, supportive, and courteous... not to mention, most definitely a direct reflection of Dr. Andrew Thompson's care. He is knowledgeable and informative. I highly recommend this group. They are the best :D

My experience for the first time from my check-in with Malysia (great), to my experience with the Medical Assistant Isabelle (great) and of course Dr. Andrew Thompson (great) who is very personable and thorough and answered all my questions. Since this is my first time there ...my gut feeling is that I am in very good hands with Dr. Thompson and this practice, and I will definitely return in the future for checkups. By the way....Beautiful office.

Another great experience at Derick Dermatology. I switched over to Derick Dermatology years ago, so happy I did! Staff is always kind, helpful & knowledgeable. I even have my husband going now. Thank goodness because they caught his melanoma which no one had before so we're fortunate for that!

I find it comfortable with my visit with Hanna. She has become one who takes the time to service and discuss the issues.

My appointment was scheduled for 30 minutes, 7:00am to 7:30am. I showed up at 7:10 (cuz I had to deal with some plumbing issues at home) knowing that it would take 10min or less to provide me the routine treatment that I have had done there multiple times. And they refused to see me until after they were done with the 7:30 patient scheduled for a 30-45min procedure. Can some from Derrick Derm Management please reach out to me to explain how making me wait an 1hr+ to cram me in between patients instead of just seeing me at a time that was during the 30 minutes alotted to my appointment is a good use your provider's time or respectful of my time & patronage?

I love Derick Dermatology! Went to the Naperville location and the tech and PA were really friendly and did a good job at the service I received. Went to the Arlington Heights location a month ago and Jazmyn was so nice!! Went back the other day for a follow up and saw Katie. She could not have been sweeter and did a great job, also!!

Katie was amazing. She was so knowledgable and took her time to make me feel comfortable with the procedure. I'd highly recommend her.

Able to schedule online and get in within 24/ 48 hrs! Front office was quick and friendly and made check in a breeze. Didn't wait long for visit. Ask for Hannah the PA at Arlington hts location!! , especially if you have young child getting care. She was so good with son and explained everything on his level and my own. Provided a thorough examine and explained everything in detail. She was kind and patient answered all my questions and she wasn't pushy about anything. I don’t usually write reviews but this is well deserved! I’ve been going to Derrick dermatology for almost a year now. All the staff members have been nothing but sweet. My primary medical provider, Emma Brennan, is the kindest soul with the best attitude. Every time I had an appointment I was just extremely happy by the fact I would get to see her. She did laser therapy on some stretch marks that were bothering me for the longest time, the improvement has been incredible. I have nothing but good things to say about her, she’s kind, she’s super patient and excellent at explaining what exactly to expect before and after every procedure. SHE IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST! Thank you guys so much for the amazing service !
