👍👍 Quiet. That is the literal essence of this place, and you really can't find a place like it. The monks and those who care for the ground are great people, and everyone is interested in continuing to progress down the path of enlightenment and self betterment. Give it a try for certain; even if it do... People often mention beautiful, visit, peaceful, gift, experience,

A great experience for all ages! I enjoyed going here alone in the early morning and had a wonderful time in the refreshing morning air having a peaceful walk around the entire property. The monk there was extremely kind and let me go into the shrine before they opened. Their gift shop is worth a visit as well!

Quiet. That is the literal essence of this place, and you really can't find a place like it. The monks and those who care for the ground are great people, and everyone is interested in continuing to progress down the path of enlightenment and self betterment. Give it a try for certain; even if it doesn't end up being your thing, I severely doubt anyone could ever have a poor time here. Zen and Buddhism done right, in the Midwest of the U.S. . Who would have ever thought?

Tranquility and prayer are two of the many facets of a visit, but the shrines, gift shop and library appeal to people who just enjoy beautiful and exotic art. The prayer wheel building has numerous wheels that are always spun clockwise to stay in rhythm with the earth. Another of the outdoor shrines, which was dedicated by the Dali Lama, has an amazing piece made from colored sand. Tourists and the are welcomed.

I enjoy coming here when I need a little zen in my life. This beautiful location is so peaceful and serene. Attending a chant was a new experience for me. I’d love to take the tour someday.

I loved this place. So serene and helped my mental health. The gift store is beautiful, feels like I am in Dharamsala. The lotus pond is nice, be careful of wildlifes. The temple wasn't open, hope to visit it when it opens again. Beautiful place

Stopped by on my way back from Terre Haute, IN. Very quiet and serene environment. There were only a few people visiting so I basically had the place to myself. I had the chance to turn the prayer wheels and recite the mantra and it was a unique experience.

I walked the grounds and attended a Buddhist service where I was invited to join in. It was pretty intimidating I will say. The buildings were in need of repairs but it was worth the visit. Although the gift shop was closed.

Absolutely beautiful, the grounds and different things to experience were wonderful. Staff took us around and explained everything and answered questions, very very sweet, we had a great day there, they rent yurts there so we will definitely do that in the Spring!!

One of the most special places in the world! 💗✨ The monks are so kind, gracious, delightful, and welcoming, the grounds and temple are exquisitely peaceful, centering, and sacred, and the cultural building is where I’ve been blessed to lead Reiki trainings, joy workshops, and couples retreats for 10 years. I love the Tibetan Mongolian Buddhist Cultural Center so much that it’s where we decided to get married over a decade ago. It is a gift beyond measure to have this absolute treasure here in Bloomington, and our event participants (many who travel in from out of town) continually marvel at what a sanctuary and uniquely beautiful haven it is. Thank you sooo much for all you give and do! 🙏🦋💕🌟

Very lovely and peaceful. Grounds are nice and maintained. Did not enter the center itself due to a retreat in progress but I am sure it is just as amazing as the outside.

No big deal if you skip this. Someone gave us the 45 min tour, basically just describing various things about Buddhism. I asked her a few simple questions about Buddhism, and she couldn't answer. "I'm not an expert!" "We give you the opportunity to be generous by donating to us!" I was disappointed.

Generally this place is great visit with exposure to Tibetan culture. But at times we find less time for peace & meditation as the staffs are busy with their commercial agenda. If you feel being interrupted on your thoughts / consciousness/ focus/ or it appears noisy. Ask that you need alone time. This way you get to peace out self ! Gift shop is a must visit :) Staffa are very friendly and lots of authentic items to choose from

It was a cold rainy day when we stopped by. The gift store has specific hours so if you want to go in check the times they are open. It was not open when we were there. Beautiful grounds for walking meditation.

An absolute experience. A wonderful place to go alone or with a friend. You are guaranteed to find peace and happiness here. Many sights to see, retreat cottages, and a gift shop as well. A definite gem of Bloomington, IN. Well kept grounds, clean environment, kid friendly, & handicap accessible.

This was the place I was needed lately, everything is calm and peacefully surrounded by beautiful trees and mother nature. I participated in Mindful meditation and yoga retreat organized by the Mongolian community. During the stay, the staffs were very helpful and the place was well equipped with all the necessities including a kitchen and restroom areas. I would highly recommend this place for those who are looking for a venue for any kind of event or stay for anyone to bring their state of mind in peace. Thank you TMBCC for supporting our community events and activities.
