Trails are very short. Not much for visitors to do because the venue is focused on researchers. If you just want a half hour walk then it's perfect.

Linda was very helpful in showing my kids around and even showing them to handle a very friendly snake! As if this wasn't enough of a highlight, another worker took us for an impromptu ride in a side by side to put two gopher tortoises back in their habitat. It was a great experience. There's plenty to learn and see. Lots of hiking trails and information about the local ecology.

Reopening for public tours in January, 2023! This is a unique part of Florida. If you have an opportunity (rare) to tour the research facility, don't miss it. The nature trails and educational center will be open soon and are very interesting.

Loved movie night! Excellent films and thanks for answering all of our questions. Thanks to Meagan for the snacks, next time ask for a $1 snack donation?

I visited the station with my conservation biology class, and it was great. The dorms/bathrooms are really nice as well. I recommend it for any teacher who wants to bring their students, of any age, to experience this great place.

Biologically diverse, well-managed, and educational biological research station. World renowned and respected location and a place of significant, crucially-important scientific inquiry.

Closed to the public due to the scamdemic. Please update your maps page and save others from the mistaken attempt to visit your nature site. It's only considerate.

This is one of those places that is a must see if you are interested in Florida unique habitats. The staff is great at explaining and helping spot flora and fauna. So much great research is going on out there!

For small per-person donation we learned so much over a couple hours during a very short educational walk.

It's a pretty cool place. It's a research station not a park or anything but it does have some cool history and interpretive trails. Looks like a great place for kids camps etc
