My experience with Darling and Fischer (this experience and review is for the Campbell location) was truly first class. At one of the most difficult times of my life, their staff made the process as easy as possible. Every step was taken with care and I could not be more impressed with their empathy and the way we were treated.

I really appreciate the staff at Darling and Fischer at Chapel of the Hills. They were so helpful. I thank Mari Liis and Mayra for always being available to answer all my questions. Everything went smoothly with my Aunt’s funeral plans and service. A BIG THANK YOU to everyone. I highly recommend Chapel of the Hills. They are AWESOME!!!

ABOVE and BEYOND! The staff here at the Los Gatos location were absolute Ángels! They made every bit of this experience good. They were very caring, very informative and the communication was the very best! Elizabeth helped us every step of the way for my Dad arrangements. She guided us, helped and made sure everything went PERFECTLY! We could not have found a better place with better staff to help us! I highly recommended them! I highly recommend Darling &Fisher. They are very caring and they put me at ease during the whole process . I didn't need to worry about all the logistics and was able to put my beloved dad to rest feeling confident that they are knowledgeable guiding me through the whole process.

I am pleased with the service provided by Darling Fischer with only one objection. The staff was always kind, caring, professional and respectful. A major exception came when I learned the day before the funeral that the Dr. Had not completed his section of the death certificate. Apparently, contact efforts had been made several times over the last week BUT…..no one notified me until the nite before services which is entirely unacceptable!! With family from all over the US in my home, I had to run to the hospital to try to get in touch with the presiding Dr. The warning from DF was that we might not be able to bury my husband the next day and would have a “faux” ceremony!!! I was devastated and hysterical. With all the burden that comes with the death of a spouse, this was the ultimate travesty!! With my intervention that nite, escalating complaints up the hospital chain of command, the appropriate sign off was completed by the Dr and the funeral and burial took place. However, there was no reason to put me through that trauma at the last minute. Yes, it was the Dr’s fault, but the delay in communication from the funeral home compounded the stress and anxiety I went through. In a business that prides itself with positive and comforting communication with the grieving family, this was the ultimate failure and should not go unnoticed!!

Very helpful, warm and welcoming. Dealt with them via phone and email since I live 500 miles away. Were reassuring and kept me posted along the process .Provided helpful information that was not expected.

The caring and professionalism of the staff and rest of the team was truly outstanding. They made a difficult time easier. I highly recommend Darling-Fisher to anyone when that time comes.

We have used this mortuary before and always find it to be totally satisfying for end-of-life arrangements. In this case recently, we had extreme difficulties obtaining a correct death certificate from the O'Connor Hospital hospitalist doctor. The mortuary worked diligently and faithfully to obtain the death certificate from this doctor, and we greatly appreciate their support at this difficult time. They even seemingly got the death certificates expedited at the County Health Department because we received them in one week, instead of 2 weeks. Thank you, Darling & Fisher!

Staff are kind, helpful, patient, and supportive. My mother and I went to dress my grandmother for the last time and we were understandably nervous about the logistics. We were guided (and physically assisted) throughout the process, given ample time to not only complete the task, but also experience our feelings at that delicate time.

Everyone at Darling & Fischer Chapel Funeral home are very professional and extremely compassionate in their interaction and service to their clients. The entire staff along with Robin, the coordinator, showed extreme sensitivity and efficiency to meet our needs and to ensure the best funeral service for our loved one. No detail was missed, all was handled smoothly and we were able to lay our beloved brother to his final rest at the Los Gatos Memorial Park cemetery. Darling & Fischer Chapel gave me strong support and guidance when my wife suddenly passed away. I was lost and they guided me through every step of the process. I highly recommend their team to help you through difficult time for planning and support through the funeral and grieving process.

I wouldn’t recommend using them. The prices are very high and they will attempt to upsell you. They do not provide any helpful documentation for what decisions they will ask you to make. They just rattle them off in a meeting and expect you to remember everything. If you want things done, you will need to control everything and follow up with them, they are not proactive. If you do use them, make sure you continue to ask for itemized invoices based on your decisions.

I appreciated the compassion and efforts to made during this painful experience. They carefully guided me through the process with wonderful patience. My family has been using Darling Fischer for over 40 years.
