Awesome place to stay. Clean and comfortable room. The owners, John and Emily, were extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed their friendly children and pets too. The property is beautiful and peaceful. We highly recommend staying at Moon Lake Resort.

Love everything about this place. Got up early to wander the small lake and barn area. We plan to return in the near future and spend some time in the Tupelo as there seems to be plenty to see. The hosts were excellent at responding to texts. There are 2 rooms available. Ours was upstairs with a lovely deck complete with patio table and chairs. Very clean and had everything needed. Small fridge, kerig for morning coffee. Large room and closets and drawers were nicely labeled so you could easily find things. Very nice enclosed patio area if the weather had been appropriate. They are a wedding venue and have a very nice covered area to host receptions. Horses in their blankets in the frosted fields made us reluctant to leave it was a great experience.

Very serene and beautiful place! Stayed the night as a quick getaway for the Mrs birthday… grounds were manicured, fish were biting, full moon was out… enjoyed some slow dancing on the screened in patio during a brief thunderstorm… etc etc- perfect location! Room was spotless and well decorated, view off balcony was lovely. Can’t say enough- absolutely wonderful stay- hope to be back!

If you want relaxing, tranquil, beautiful scenery, sweet little farm critters and pecan trees. You’ve picked the right spot! We had an amazing time. The screened in area fridge needed to be cleaned out. Other than that is was a 5 star! 🤩

So enjoyable! We were there during a full moon, and experienced the moon over the water - beautiful! Comfortable bed and everything one would need in the room. Charming facility, complete with cats, donkey, horse and lots of acreage to explore. Hosts were lovely!

We had a great stay. One of my many stops as I biked the entire Natchez Trace. The rooms were clean and inviting and had everything we needed. Access was easy, the hosts were attentive, and the property was beautiful. Would definitely stay again!

Last minute R&R was just what we needed, and Moon Lake was the perfect spot! Booking and check in was a breeze, and the rooms were spotless. The slightly larger mini fridge was perfect for our dinner takeout, and the hosts even provided water bottles which I appreciated. We slept in the next day, but found the opportunity for a mid morning walk around the lake and garden before checking out. My only regret is not having the time to fish! We will be back!

This place was amazing! Super clean, very friendly family! Beautiful lake to sit around and drink coffee! They offer horse stables for us horse people traveling with our horses and this is very much appreciated! And the bed was so comfortable I would have thought I was in my own bed at home!! My only regret is that I didn’t have time to just enjoy the scenery! I will definitely use them again! Tonya

Moon Lake Farm is beautiful and peaceful! The screened-in porch is the perfect place to eat, read, and just sit and be mesmerized by the lake view. The room and bathroom are large and clean. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay there again.

We found Moon Lake via a Google search for pet friendly hotels. We were in town to visit family and my wife’s High School reunion. The location was perfect, just a 5 minute drive from my father-in-law’s house and conveniently located near several restaurants. The owners are friendly and were responsive to our requests. It was a great location for the dogs as well. We plan on making this a regular stop when traveling to visit family.

Good value since we had pets. Sitting by the pond was nice. Ground floor room had to enter a garage door to access the room door. Only window looked thru deck stairs at the parking so it felt like being in a basement.

Answered phone when first called to find out availability. Many B&B we call never answer phone. Extremely hospitable. Room very clean and spacious. The grounds are awesome and the screened porch was great. Definitely stay here again if our travels take us in their direction.

The perfect getaway! The property is stunning; in every direction you look, it is just beautiful! John and Emily were so helpful and kind. We will be back and we will always recommend Moon Lake for visitors to the area or locals looking for a stay-cation!

Lovely farm really friendly family! Beautiful rooms! We stayed in the Lakeside Suite. A piece of self catering Oasis! The only thing I would say is that the mattress was too soft but that's a personal preference from someone who has back pain and refers firm mattresses. We stayed for one night on our stop over in Tupelo on way to Memphis. Wonderful 👍 thank you John and Emily..it was lovely to meet you. From The Davis's 3rd June 2023

We stayed in both the Lakeside Suite and Garden Suite at Moon Lake Farm with our family. John and Emily were so nice and hospital. They are the definition of Southern Hospitality! Kids loved time in the lake, running around the path on the property, petting the mini donkey, seeing the horse, and feeding the chickens! It was a retreat from our normal hustle and bustle lives in the city.

A slice of heaven! My first visit was in July and the property was overflowing with gorgeous flowering trees and the breeze was incredible at both the outdoor table and pool house. The space was very clean, comfortable and the a/c kept us cool. It was quiet but they had sound machines ready to go in each room. This farm lends itself to endless family photos and adventure out in nature. Wild to me how there were almost no mosquitos either. It almost sounds too good to be true. Do not sleep on this opportunity. They have a lion head bunny who will eat out of the palm of your hand. The most well trained black lab, a handful of other animals and a coop full of free range chickens. Check out Lost & Found Coffee while you’re there. So many other yummy places listed on their website. Very unique and incredible experience. Thank you so much!!

Great place to overnight with horses. It’s nice to have a safe pasture to let them graze and stretch their legs while on the road. They have stalls too if you prefer. The hookups are great! They’re nice and level, with a table and a fire ring. It’s all pretty high and dry for the most part. We’ve been there after a big rain and there was minimal puddles that drain off quickly. John is a great host! We stay every summer on our way to and from FL to OK for Nationals. Easy access to the interstate and Wild Bill’s at the exit has the cheapest diesel you’ll find! It’s a no brainer for us!

My stay at Moon Lake Farm was absolutely relaxing! I enjoyed the lake, the animals, the wildlife, everything the Farm has to offer. My hosts were most gracious and accommodating and I will return later this year. It was a wonderful way to start the new year!

If you are traveling through or have lived in the area for a while its well worth the visit Room was super comfortable (we stayed in the Garden as we have kids). The hosts were amazing and some of the nicest people you ever want to meet. Made several friends while thier and you will too if you love animals( im pretty sure one of the kitties would've left with us had she seen we were leaving, she would wait for me to come out to rub her belly, my cat is super mad now lol) the dog is super funny. The bed in the room was way comfortable (better than any hotel, hands down). They have two rooms to stay at or you can stay at thier RV spots as well. Extremely nice hosts that make you feel apart of thier family and my kids loved playing with thier kids. Now on to my favorite part, there is a huge lake which you can fish (catch and release but In my opinion thats best practice anyways). My wife almost got a couple but her line broke twice (I tease her she cant catch fish as she gives me a hard time) I caught total of five during our stay (let you in on a secret, they are active at around lunch time til about 2pm and then again at sunset when the water is like glass) so bring a pole and enjoy. We will be back for sure in the future and it was well worth the stay wether by RV or one of their rooms. Thank you guys again and we will see you soon.

Very nice layover; nicely located near the Interstate for a quick return back to our trip. Host family are extremely helpful and charming. Stalls for the horses were roomy and RV hookup for our trailer was conveniently located to the barn, while allowing for privacy. We look forward to enjoying the property on our next visit. We will definitely visit and recommend Moon Lake Retreat to our traveling friends and family.

Wow talk about a great first impression!!! My parents came here for a little get away and just talked about how nice it was. So I told them bring me a needed a break and a little relaxation from Radiology school. This place was so awesome and peaceful. The owners were so nice. The room we had was sooo nice, clean, and cozy!! Love love the lake. I fished sooo much. I can not wait to come back here. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a quiet, nice, peaceful getaway. Until next time Moon Lake!!!

Great place to stay. Beautiful area and very hospitable hosts. They were able to accommodate my 5 horse LQ with hookups. My 2 horses had a nice barn to overnight in on our trip from UT to GA. They were easily accessible from I22. The casita was adorable, clean and the perfect room for my parents to sleep for the night. My twins enjoyed some evening fishing at the beautiful 8 acre pond. Highly recommend Moon Lake.

As a quick stop on our travels back home, Moon Lake surpassed expectations. As a family with young kids that needed out of the car, a place to run, be safe and get rest… we couldn’t have asked for anything more out of Moon Lake. Clean, friendly and accommodating. Jeff and Emily (I hope I remember names correctly) were incredibly kind and provided the right amount of interaction. We interrupted their Saturday morning coffee and they just invited us to take in the view with them! I would choose them over a hotel ANY day.

Wonderful place at Moon Lake Retreat! . I would give it a 10/10. Great accommodations. They thought of everything! Perfect Hotel for the Horses, great suite with extraordinary comfortable queen size bed for me. The room had its own bathroom with a deep relaxing bathtub spa. This would be my first stop every time over any others in Tupelo, MS. Sarah W.
