This is a hidden gem in Kendall. The staff and chef are extremely nice and welcoming. The food is delicious and served pretty quickly. I love coming here and trying different items on their menu. So far we’ve tried the pork bao buns, pad thai, Kuffo fried rice, octopus carpaccio, and tempura rolls. Everything has been amazing!! I recommend this place 100%

Excuse the photos, we had already tasted everything when I took them. We really love this place. We had the ceviche, the ramen, the shrimp tempura sushi, the shrimp bao buns, and the donuts for dessert. Everything tasted delicious, we had no complaints. The staff is also very friendly and the food came out very fast. Always an enjoyable experience to visit!

I tried giving KUFFO another shot, and I am extremely disappointed. I ordered the same dish I ordered the first time (Chicken Stir Fry), and I went with the Teriyaki sauce again and the same vegetables: corn, mushrooms, carrots, broccoli, scallion. I also ordered a Shrimp Stir Fry with ginger sauce and all the vegetables, a soup, and an order of Fried Calamari. Chicken Stir Fry, Teriyaki Sauce The sauce was still watery like before, the portion size actually got smaller than before and they gave less rice than before so there still wasn't enough rice for the food which was less quantity, and honestly, slightly lower quality as well. The actual bowl in which they serve all the food is smaller than the previous time I ate here, and it's only been a month; and the price stayed the same (less food, same cost). Also I didn't order zucchini in my chicken stir fry, yet I still found about 5 pieces in it. Shrimp Stir Fry, Ginger Sauce The sauce was watery once again, portion was smaller for the same price, not enough rice, and the shrimp wasn't good. For $18 this is absolutely not worth it. Fried Calamari 18 small pieces of Fries Calamari for $14, it's just doesn't make sense and definitely not worth that price. The wasabi tarter sauce was okay, and the Calamari was fine, but all these prices are unreasonable. Tonkotsu Ramen This was definitely the worst dish, no flavor, small portion again, overcooked egg, and for $12 again, terrible pricing. All in all, definitely do not recommend KUFFO, I wish I could but I just can't, it's very overpriced for what it is, the portions were already small and imbalanced to begin with and they just got smaller, the food quality hasn't improved. Just a no for me. Update: On yelp the owner of KUFFO, Fernando Vargas, he reacted to my review on Yelp and voted it was funny, thank you thank you, but what I think is really funny is that he said: "This is the first time we are hearing about our serving size being too small, we will take your input into consideration". And then he proceeds to make the serving size EVEN SMALLER and keeps charging the same price, what a guy, what a joke, what a SCAM. 😂 😂 😂

We stumbled upon this cute spot. We were so impressed with the food! The sushi was excellent quality, the portions are also huge! Highly recommend the Matsumoto!

Great food and friendly service. The menu has a lot of variety and is delicious. My only complaint: the TV inside with news playing is loud and distracting, a buzz-kill with all of the bad events and wars in the world. Some beautiful HD photography of your beautiful food would be more relaxing. We sat outside and enjoyed the patio and the music playing. Five stars :)

Food is incredible. The place is tiny and they need a little work on their order ahead system. I feel like they should have a system that alerts them when an order comes in vice checking on a certain frequency. All that being said, it was worth the wait. Everything was cooked to perfection. It tasted fresh. Expertly assembled. Friendly service. Get their signature maki.

First time visiting this restaurant and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I went in to this place with zero expectations. I had no idea that this place was here so when I discovered it I knew I had to swing by. We started off with some hot green tea which was your typical run of the mill green tea bag so that was fine, wasn’t anything out of the ordinary. Then for the appetizers we went with the steamed shrimp shumai and the duck bao buns and the shumai was great it was nice and soft and full of shrimp, but the star of the show really was the bao buns. They were so soft and tender and filled up to the max with duck and slaw. My only complaint about the bao buns were that it only comes with 2 and I wish it came with at least 3 but hey that’s just me. For the entrees we ordered the Tonkatsu Ramen and the Hiroshima sushi roll. The ramen blew my mind at first sip because the broth was so rich and decadent and fulfilling, the pork was cooked to perfection and it came in a huge bowl that could easily be shared between 2 people. The Hiroshima sushi roll was also really delicious but was a little saltier than I would have liked it to be but overall still tasty. Our service was great and (whom I assume is) the owner came by and chatted with us for a bit which is something that definitely means a lot to me whenever I visit restaurants because it makes the experience feel much more welcoming. Overall I loved every bit of it but if I could change one thing is just have the chefs mind a little bit of the salt. Definitely worth checking this place out! I will definitely come back and try some more things.

If I could rate this more stars, I would!! This place is a hidden gem and more people need to eat here to have a great experience just like I did! The atmosphere is fantastic, the service was phenomenal, and the food is an authentic, original love letter to Asian fusion cuisine. Everything was delicious and tasted so fresh- every dish I had made me excited and complimented everything I had. And there's so many things to have so I am planning on going back very soon!

Everything on their menu is so so good, the papi house special is my favorite so far and at a great price. The staff is sweet and it has a peaceful atmosphere. I always have a great time when I come.

Guys there's a reason that place has a 4.9 rating with +400 reviews. This place really does deserve more attention. The food did not miss. Everything was a hit. This is a must try. Even the prices are friendly and customer service was second to none. I recommend the Ramen and the poke bowl as appetizer.

We visited on a Sunday and like another reviewer mentioned, we were pleasantly surprised by our experience here. It is a small hole in the wall with a comfortable atmosphere and dynamic cuisine. We have no complaints over the quality, flavor, portions, or even presentation of the food. Everything was delicious and plentiful. I'd love for it to remain my secret forever, but this restaurant is well deserving of an establishment where they may continue to expand and flourish. Absolutely a joy.

The small rest feel brings an entire different experience. The owner is very personable and engaged w/ his customers. EVERYTHING on the menu is amazing. Food is fresh each time & comes out quickly, no matter what. Been coming here several times and each time trying something new. Service is better than most “Miami” restaurants. Highly recommend to everyone, this is a MUST.

The food was a 5. Our server Nikita was very attentive - 5. The inside decor and ceramic plate/glassware selection - 5. TV too big for the space blaring news - unfortunate 1.

TLDR: food is ok not amazing and definitely not for the price things are at My bf and I ordered the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen at level 5 spiciness, domburi E katsu chicken curry, pork belly Bao buns, calamari, steamed shrimp shumai, taro boba tea, and Fanta. The spicy tonkotsu ramen wasn’t even remotely spicy if anything it was hella salty and had too much lime which was very odd because there was no lime slice served with the bowl. The domburi E katsu chicken curry needed more salt or something in the curry, instead of the basic curry cube that’s usually used to make that dish, the rest though such as the chicken and other fixings were good/tasty. The pork belly Bao buns were very delicious, it was the one great tasting dishes of the whole meal. The calamari was probably the second best tasting appetizer/meal, the sauces that accompanied it were very tasty as well. The steamed shrimp shumai felt off like something in it gave it some weird bitter taste and it definitely wasn’t the sauce that was served with it because I even tried it without it’s sauce and it was just terrible. The taro boba was really good though it was a small 12 oz amount filled 1/3 with a bunch of ice. The Fanta orange is served in a glass bottle so no refills there. The service from our waitress was great, she was very attentive and she was manning all the three other tables that were also active. The restaurant is located in a suburban plaza in what seemed like not a super popular spot. So I could see and understand that if you wanted a simple Asian fusion dish and this was conveniently located close to you, why this would probably be your choice. The entire meal cost $78 and then plus the tip came to about $94 Edit/update: Dear Owner, I am not sure who is Thomas? I think you are confusing me and my bf with another table couple that was eating at the restaurant when we were. You went to my table, with my bf and I, just one time to ask how we were doing. You were speaking to another couple across from us various times. And that explains why you are mentioning various different foods that were not in my review or captioned pics. We were already done with our food when you came by because we were starving after having walked through Zoo Miami. And we only spoke with you for a couple of seconds 😅We also don’t live close to the area at all, we just wanted to try a new restaurant close to the zoo. Appreciate the clarification on the bubble tea, more flavors and sizes would be a good touch.

Cozy restaurant with an extremely friendly and helpful staff. The food presentation will definitely give you something to "ooooo" about and the taste is the "ahhhh". Loved the home made lemonade. Hoping when I go back there is a drink menu 😋

Great little place nestled in the country walk area. Although, I did not dine in this time, I will definitely do so very soon. We picked out to go order this time and the meal was great!
