    The airport covers 830 acres (340 ha) at an elevation of 4,124 ft (1,257 m). It has three asphalt runways: 7/25 is 5,566 by 100 ft (1,697 by 30 m); 12/30 is 7,498 by 100 ft (2,285 by 30 m); 16/34 is 5,600 by 100 ft (1,707 by 30 m). It has two helipads: H1 is 40 by 40 ft (12 by 12 m) and H2 is 100 by 100 ft (30 by 30 m). In the year ending October 23, 2006 the airport had 26,000 aircraft operations, average 71 per day: 88% general aviation and 12% military. 64 aircraft were then based at the airport: 81% single-engine, 13% multi-engine, 2% jet and 5% glider

Was able to fly on the first commercial flight out to Denver. Small town airport. Accessible to mammoth lakes. Not any food options or vending machines yet. Friendly airport employees. Better than driving in the snow.

I have attempted to fly through Bishop 3 times in the past year, and all 3 flights were canceled after extended delays. United Airlines has the most pitiful service and they are happy to leave you stranded without accommodations. TSA will rummage through all your checked bags then just stuff everything back into your bag like trash. It may seem convenient to use Bishop Airport, but you will find they will waste your time and you'll be spending extra money for shuttles and hotels. United should not be selling tickets if they cannot execute the flights. Bishop airport may be great for private aviation, but for anything commercial I would strongly recommend avoiding Bishop and United Airlines. Better to fly into or out of Reno and drive 4 hours than deal with the pathetic operation that is Bishop Airport. I will not use this airport or airline again, under any circumstances.

Great management, Steve Loven the airport ops supervisor and crew are really accommodating and a true example of what government workers should be. Kudos to him and his team.

The employee's were very nice & friendly. The flight attendants were very nice & friendly. I wish they would open this airport all year long because my daughter & her family live in Mammoth Lakes. The flight into Bishop made our trip much easier. I hope they open this airport year around it makes our trip so much easier! Thank you to the United Crew from Mammoth Lakes to Denver, you were great!!
