Update... Unfortunately. I just went and did not have good service. Maybe I'll try again but it will not be anytime soon. I've been here twice and loved it. Very important to be strategic with how you file your bowl. My servers both times were really good and gave me instructions on the process. It is nicer on the wallet to visit during lunch.

This place is amazing!! I've never been to a place like this before and we loved it. We got the "build your own bowl" and you get to go to the line and choose all your ingredients like subway lol my kids couldn't finish their food for once. We highly recommend this place

We love this place. Service is friendly, everything is clean, food is so good! We've only ever done the grill and that fills us up. My husband's advice is to push the food down after each addition to get more in the bowl. I love the udon noodles. Always yummy. Kids love it. A but pricey, but everyone's happy so it's worth it.

4.7/5 ⭐️ Yummy Bowl. Create Your Own Bowl. Upon entering the restaurant you are greeted with friendly and attentive staff. The restaurant is huge, with plenty of seating throughout. This is maybe my 100th time coming to this restaurant. I am not too big of a fan of hibachi type cuisine, but Yummy Bowl is not just one of the best hibachi, but one of the best restaurants in this city. If you pass by during lunch or dinner time, you would see how packed it is. For this night, it was packed, and the line was long. I have tried the sushi before and it is good sushi. They also have some good appetizers. Nothing too crazy, but good, well reasoned with the price. The real star of the show is the build your own bowl concept. You are given a little metal bowl and you are free to fill it with what you like. From beef to chicken to shrimp to all types of vegetables, you are in control. Especially with the seasonings and multiple sauce options. You can come here multiple times and change what you add in your bowl and it will be amazing, fresh, and different tasting but in the best way possible. Choose what kind of carb you would like with your protein, from rice to noodles to lo mein and even brown rice. The bowl comes and it is quite a lot of food, with the red bowl being so full you are out of breathe just looking at it. Yummy bowl is one the best restaurants in Birmingham, and it shows every night. It is almost packed whenever we come in and even with the rush, the hard working chefs seem to grill and cook away with pride and kindness when they thank you once you give them your bowl to cook. For the price, and the taste, it is a MUST TRY.

Amazing Japanese/Mongolian stir fry and sushi bar. Was busy on a Saturday at lunch, but there was no wait for a table and the service was fast and friendly. Ordered two sushi rolls (tuna & avocado and shrimp tempura), strawberry and peach lemonades, and a build your own stir fry bowl from their stir fry bar. Everything was great, and the stir fry was even more so. Huge selection of fresh ingredients, almost endless possible combinations of seasonings and sauces, and only an extra charge for double "starch" or more than one egg. All you can eat is only $4 more. We will definitely be coming back sooner rather than later.

One of my husbae's favorite restaurants because he gets to customize his meal. I love it because I get to try something different every time and never be disappointed. Looking forward to our next visit.

Wow! The food here was amazing. The stir fry is one of the best I've ever had. They don't skimp on meat and the price is very affordable. Enough food for one serving and some to take home with you. I ordered take out this time and really enjoyed my soup and stir fry. There are other options like Sushi here. Service was great. I will be back next time I'm down near Homewood.

Good rolls and Seared Tuna with Amazing sauce. Maybe use yellow type Ginger pickle for a better taste, and A little more attention to tables' cleaning because it is kinda sticky.

Great place, reasonably priced. I love the food if your in to Hibachi. I always get the bowl, this is where they give u an empty bowl and u fill it with fifteenth varieties of veggies and meat of your choice seasonings and oils then they prepare it for u on the grill. It was me and my daughter 30$

Quick bite to eat. Sushi rolls were great. Fast service in which it was appreciated. Server made sure we were well taken care of and offered refills timely. Recommend trying out this restaurant.

First time dining here, and we enjoyed ourselves.  Initially, I thought the little bowl they gave us to put our toppings in was rather small, but by the time we made our selections and our cooked dishes arrived at the table, we were pleasantly surprised.  My toppings included broccoli, white meat chicken, onions, mushrooms, bacon, and shrimp.  I chose the garlic and mixed seasoning along with the garlic sauce and opted for lo mein noodles with steamed rice on the side.  My dish was flavorful and filling.  Other toppings included beef, dark meat chicken, pork, spinach, tomatoes, peppers, and additional seasonings such as soy, ginger, and other spicy combinations.  I hope to visit again and try a few more variations of my selected toppings with some different seasonings.  Thank you for a nice meal.

This place is a Japanesr stir fry amd sushi bar. Buffet laid out with alm kinds of meats anf veggies. You get to choose your own seasonings and sauces. We eat here often. It's kind of nostalgic when I come here since it used to be Ocharleys. Id suggest getting the bottomless bowl. That way you can just start with two bowls for the buffet and continue to go until youre full. Its only a couple of dollars difference in the regular bowl and the bottomless bowl so its worth it. My toppings included broccoli, white meat chicken, onions, mushrooms, spinach, bacon, and shrimp, scallops, jalopeno, zucchini, bran sprouts, tofu and bamboo shoots. I chose the garlic and mixed seasoning along with the garlic sauce and opted for no starch even though several are offered. My dish was flavorful and filling. Other toppings included beef, dark meat, pineapple, squid, chicken, pork, corn, tomatoes, bell peppers, and additional seasonings such as soy, ginger, and lemon pepper and other spicy combinations. Service just just "ok" but the food is great.

It was definitely a unique experience. The restaurant has a lot of space and the deli options are really good with ingredients such as carrots, spinach, beef, chicken, calamari, sauces, spices, and more. The wait time wasn't that bad either.

Where do I start. Came in hungry like a hippo, and left feeling like a Lion after a huge meal. It was so delicious 🤤. Me and my woman enjoy the food. It was a good amount of people here. The Atmosphere was 7.3/10. The service was 7.5/10. Food was a 8.2/10. I'ma give this restaurant a 7.9/10 today. Great time 👍🏿💯

Loved this place! The create your own bowl option was great, definitely recommend the udon with chicken and broccoli. Sushi was also delicious and everything was well priced

Food is very Yummy. Resteraunt is clean and easy to get too. They have a very good selection of fresh foods to add to the bowl. Fresh cooked to taste, very good supper choice.

Super cool place with a make-your-own bowl. You physically pick out your own ingredients, set it and your ticket on the counter...They cook it on a giant, round griddle and bring it to you once it's cooked! Delicious!

So good! I think I could eat there every day. Easy concept with good, quick food. The bourbon sauce has just enough sweetness to it. The restaurant is clean and the food is fresh. Highly recommend eating here!
