Our son had his assessment | “first lesson” today! And he was sooo happy… he was able to understand the basics and get his swing going. All of that in under 1hr! I've recently started the 3-month performance plan package with Bill Schmedes. He quickly identified the problem that caused me to consistently hook the ball which I'd struggled with for over a year. He put in place a plan including drills to help eradicate the hook. By the end of the first lesson I was hitting the ball much straighter and had my best round in recent memory the next day. As I've continued working with Bill, I've seen improvement in my short game and my index is coming down for the first time in many months. this is one of the best lessons I ever had. Bill explains what is needed in terms you can understand. He also works with your swing in improving your performance. He provides options without radically changing what you do. I would highly recommend him.

I am still new to the game of golf. I started taking lessons last February in Salt Lake City, Utah. Since getting down to the lowcountry and playing a few 9 hole rounds I knew it was time to start taking lessons again. These few rounds that I played before seeing Bill were in the mid to high 50s. I am so happy with my round yesterday after my FIRST lesson with Bill and going out and playing where I shot a 43!!! Only after my first lesson....I am so excited and ready to see where Bill takes my golf game!

Quickly he identified things that were off with my set up that were stopping me from having a good golf swing. These were things I was never told in lessons with others. The impact was immediate. In my initial review below I committed to come back and update my review once I had a chance to put to practice what I had been taught at MGP - so here I am with 5 stars! If you want to hit a few better shots next round, go buy yet another set of new irons; but if you want to fundamentally improve your swing and consistency, see Bill and team. Visited MGP for the first time for an initial golf swing evaluation. Bill (owner and director of instruction) immediately made me feel at home and relaxed, which facilitated a very thorough and helpful interaction. Bill's insights were backed-up by evidence/tech (beyond basic video) which adds to my confidence that I will be working on the right things (root causes). Obviously the proof is in the pudding, but assuming I'm able to demonstrate the type of progress I expect, we'll return and post a 5 star review!

I’ve been taking lessons from Bill at Mastery Golf Performance for 3 months now and have made substantial improvements in my game and understanding of my swing. I’ve learnt something new and progressed every lesson. Bill makes any corrections easy to understand and digest so you’re not overwhelmed with information and can go out and practice on your own. The technology available is awesome and makes it so much easier to realise what you’re doing wrong, and what right looks like. If I could give more than 5 stars I would, I can’t recommend MGP highly enough!

Absolutely incredible training facility! Top of line technology gives instant feedback on every swing. Bill unquestionably best instructor I’ve ever had. Has the ability to translate technology Info into useful info student can use. Is able to isolate small parts of the swing and create drills to improve. Practice time is much more productive then just beating balls on the range. His assistant Christian is polite and courteous and is helpful in many ways. If you’re looking to improve your game, this is the place to do it!!

I heard great things about MPG but then got to experience first hand last week. Bill is tremendous, he took time to listen to my view of my game , had we hit a few shots with different clubs and then sat down and gave me his view. He knows the game and is able to explain things to an average golfer like me. He gave me a couple simple things to work on that are manageable vs a slew of things to make my head spin. That was the 1st lesson, 15 more to go and I excited for my next visit

Mastery Golf is great. Bill is amazing-he can watch 3-4 swings and make simple, clear recommendations. After each lesson you get a short message with notes and a video-just enough info without overwhelming you. He and Christian are easygoing guys who make you feel welcome and relaxed. I was hesitant to check this place out...How can an indoor facility really help you learn to play the game? Is all this high tech stuff only good for the Tour pros? Well I got my assessment and have signed up for a series of lessons. The place is first class all the way. Bill and Christian want to make sure your goals are defined and a plan is in place to improve. After a long break from the game and a failed attempt at teaching myself, I am on the right track. They've got the technology, the tools, and the knowledge to help any golfer enjoy the game more. Not to mention, some of the best pizza in town is right next door!

Our first session with Bill was outstanding. The Performance Center is first class and we received a warm welcome. Most importantly, he connected with my daughter Lauren and she enjoyed working with him. Bill and Christian are professional in every way. I can’t say enough great things about the team at Mastery Golf Performance. I have been working with Bill Schmedes, the Director of Instruction, for around 2 years and my golf game has improved beyond what I could have imagined. I took up golf at age 69 when I retired at the end of 2021. I started lessons at Mastery golf in June. Within a few minutes of observing my swing Bill saw the problems with my swing. He made some suggestions to start me on q path to a good repeatable swing. After several more sessions Bill has helped with rotation, swing path, and club face control.
