Liked the 3D scan of my feet to determine the type of shoe I would benefit from and the knowledge of the salesman that helped me. I also appreciate the fact I have a 60 day “try them out” policy and return them if worn and not what I need.

Great local running store. I always make a point of stopping here when I vacation on the island. The staff is very friendly and they always welcome our dog (which is very much appreciated on Saturdays before we can get into our rental unit). I love their branded shirts. They are high quality and have a great looking logo.

Been suffering from neuropathy and heel spurs. It has negatively impacted my life by causing pain everyday at work and nearly eliminating my daily beach walk. I was told that Palmetto Running Company could help. So true. First I got insoles that were properly measured for my feet. Then a pair of Hoku shoes. Palmetto Running Company was recommended to my husband by his physical therapist as THE place to buy HOKA sneakers. We followed her suggestion & visited the store on Tuesday 10/10/23. We were immediately greeted by Melissa, a very friendly saleswoman. She listened well, was very attentive to my husband's needs, & measured his feet ensuring that the fit and width were perfect. Melissa was very engaged, knowledgeable, professional, and enthusiastic. While I was "only along for the ride," I was so impressed that my husband gifted me with a pair of HOKA sneakers, as well. The store offers exceptional service and a generous return policy - you really cannot go wrong!! Palmetto Running Company provides a five-star experience for sure!

Needed some shoes quickly. Had a blister on heal because I forgot to bring tennis shoes on vacation. They were very helpful and knowledgeable. Had me try on 3 pair. The sales person did not seem rushed but had me in a comfortable pair in 20 minutes. Great experience.

Fantastic experience. The girl who helped us was so knowledgeable. They have a machine that analyzes your feet & she then gave her recommendations on which shoes would be best for our specific needs. When they didn’t have the color we wanted, she was able to find them us & have them shipped to our house. We were VERY impressed. We’ll be back!

As a retail consultant and many years in the specialty sporting goods business this place is BEST in class! Thank god my wife put me on a budget before I got to HHI orI would have spent a fortune… I’m a sucker for a GREAT shopping experience and it was!!!!!

First time there, was looking for a good pair of shoes for 5K’s, the gentlemen came right to me and was very helpful and informative. He even let me run down the sidewalk for a test run to make sure I was comfortable! Definitely will be going back.

We had a wonderful experience here while shopping for running shoes for my husband and myself. Cynthia was outstanding and very patient with us. She was very knowledgeable and helped me find the perfect shoe for me. We will definitely be back next year for new shoes.

We stopped on our way to brunch and found so many nice things. The store is beautiful, clean and has a great selection of shoes and clothing. They carry the Vuori line which is a favorite of mine and my husband’s. The staff were all so friendly and willing to help… answering questions about a couple of products and size options. Would definitely recommend this stop at Shelter Cove. Also, neither my husband nor I are runners, but the store offers great clothing items even for us non-runners.

Visited town and saw the Vuori store after dinner one night. Returned during business hours and was very satisfied. Melissa Matus was great and made my experience enjoyable. She was professional, knowledgeable, friendly and specifically helped me figure out sizes (which I struggle with). If I were local I would definitely return!

This place has every running item you could ever want or need! Despite their computer being down, Melissa was a tremendous help sizing my feet and finding the perfect pair of running shoes! And on top of that, their 60 day no questions asked exchange policy made me feel even more secure in my purchase.

What a cool running shop! The customer service was the best I’ve had in a long time. The store was extremely clean and they had everything we needed. Oh, the also sell the best coffee I’ve ever had “Runners High” is something I would drink everyday! The wife and I can’t wait to go back.

Fantastic experience. Measured my feet and recommended several pairs of sneakers that would work for me. I bought a pair of Brooks that are extremely comfortable. The person who helped me was very knowledgeable and was solely focused on fitting me appropriately. I would recommend to anyone-runners, walkers, or anyone in between.

They carry great comfortable walking and running clothes from pants, shorts, tops and jackets. They also technically measure your feet to help find the correct fit. While I was at the store, both men and woman were coming in to by another pair after wearing them a year. They have socks for different foot problems. It's an amazing place.

We went in just browsing and left with two pairs of shoes. They were knowledgeable, reasonably priced, and answered every question we had. Not one time did we feel any pressure to buy. 100% recommend and will continue to buy from them.

Went into Palmetto Running Co. to get fitted for running shoes for my next half marathon. I was lucky enough to be serviced by Tammy, who spent A LOT of time working with me to find the perfect shoes. Thanks to her I’m hoping for a new PR on my next race. If I’m ever in town again, I would definitely stop by. Highly recommend to anyone shopping for running gear.

Wonderful experience!! The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable in helping me find the correct running shoes I needed. They definitely go above and beyond! From the 3D imaging machine to their one on one assistance… A+!!! I’m just getting back into running after time off from injuries and not only did they treat me great they also provided extremely helpful tips on how to best get started.

The staff is very helpful when discussing any and all products that they carry in their store. They are proactively walking the store offering to help as you browse and select items. The thing I loved most is seeing how active they were in the community! They had a board that listed all of the events that they hosted for anyone and everyone who wanted to join them throughout the course of the month, which is included free yoga on the beach, guided runs with multiple distance options, and trash pickups for littered stuff on the beaches. Amazing company through and through.

My husband and I had the most wonderful experience here while on vacation!! Melissa helped both of us identify our problem areas in our feet and she matched us with shoes that work great for us!! My husband and I both have high arches and have been wearing shoes too big for us, all info we didn’t know that Melissa told us, and it explained why we both experienced pain. My doctor recommended that I go to this store to have my walking shoes fitted especially for my feet rather than choosing a pair generically from a store’s shelf. I made an appointment and met with Melissa. She took me through the process of finding out where my pressure points are when I walk, my arches, gait, and more. I left with a great pair of shoes and confidence that they’ll be a great fit for my daily walks on the beach as well as the myriad of other things that take me throughout the day. My husband was so impressed that he’ll be making an appointment for himself. This is now our go-to place for athletic shoes. (We’ll also be returning for the great clothing, too!)

Excellent service. Annie was very helpful. I'm assuming that was her name based on my receipt...I don't recall if she told me her name. I went in to look for Hoka's which were recommended by a friend. Annie brought 3 different brands out for me to try, knowing which size to bring based on their usual fit. I liked the Brooks, but still ended up with the Hoka. An enjoyable experience. I highly recommend PRC at Shelter Cove.
