After being a regular visitor of this Deseret Book for almost a year, I figured it’s time to leave a review. I love this store. They always have the most uplifting and spiritual selection of artwork, books, home decor, and much more. The employees are always so quick and eager to help customers. From Johnathon to Michelle to Scott to Heather to Neil — all of them, really — they’ve always delivered amazing customer service. They’re always able to give their honest opinions and recommendations for gospel-related books, and they’ve even helped me find the PERFECT books or gifts, even when I wasn’t sure what I was looking for! It’s easy for me to say that I love this place, since I love bookstores in general. But this is THE bookstore to bring your family to downtown. There’s a Crumbl cookie shop inside, fun 3D printers to watch, a beautiful gallery of art, a kids’ section with books and TVs with children’s’ shows, and even a few seats and tables to sit, lounge, and charge your phone. If you visit as often as I do, I would recommend signing up for their platinum rewards program. It’s $25/year but I’m pretty sure I’ve gotten back at least $100 in store credit. I think it was Christopher who first told me about this program, and it’s honestly the best! I’ve literally bought DOZENS of books from this store, and it’s worth it! This Deseret Book location is always changing up their decor to match the season, whether it’s Christmas or Easter or any other relevant holiday. The bathrooms are always clean, which is such a bonus! I always visit this store when I’m downtown, and when Temple Square feels a little too chaotic because of the construction, I come here. Thanks for being such an amazing shop!

One of my favorite book stores. All about Christ and wholesome content. Even some positive home decor to choose from. This is the biggest deseret book store I have been to. I only wish I had more time to explore the whole store.

I would highly recommend going to another location. In the past 7 months, I experienced extremely rude cashiers. If you want to leave the store in tears, this is the place!! The store manager seems unwilling to address the lack of customer service.

This is the only place I know that fills your bowl with ice cream, weighs it and takes a tenth back. It really surprised me... I guess they are watching out for my weight too... Thanks Deseret Book at City Creek. DBee Honey gets 5 stars for creamy goodness.

Enjoyed the recently redone interior and organization. Everything was pretty easy to locate and the staff was fantastic. The best part would easily be the ice cream parlor and sweet shop attached to the store!!

Nice large store with a large art selection which was nice to look at. There was a nice sized children’s book area and an ample selection of books to choose from. It also has an ice cream shop attached. Worth stopping in and taking a look around when in downtown SLC.

I like Deseret Book's variety and everything you can get in their stores. It seems like the downtown location gets more material than other stores which is unfortunate. It is a lot more convenient for me to go to the Cottonwood Heights location. The downtown has ice cream, temple things, missionary things, art, children area, youth, top books, leader book session, etc.

We were there just looking around before going to eat. We didn't even buy anything. Yet the store is a nice one and in the past we have gone there several times.

Lots to see here I have grown up in cities that have Deseret book stores in them but they have nothing in comparison to this one. Tons of people to help but noone seemed pushy or overzealous. Take a stroll look at the art the books the carvings. Play a ditty on the piano (at least my son did)

Staff was very helpful and courteous. Service was efficient. Premises were clean with a diverse selection of books, art, and garments.

A good selection of faith-promoting works. Sometimes it can venture into questionable quality or filthy lucre/cash grabs. (I'm looking at you, Lincoln/Washington/Pilgrim Hypothesis!)

This LDS shop has some great religious items and a Crumbl Cookie shop inside. It's almost like a large Temple Square gift shop.

Excellent bookstore for many years! I must see for anyone that loves books. They also have a great poster selection, postcards, and strange films. The kind of place I like.

Great place to find many different types of books. Also toys for kids and table things. Lots of wonderful painting and posters. Games for family. Great place to spend time to look around.

There is such a wide selection of books here. There is something for everyone. Although the religious books here are fantastic, they also have a fun variety of non-religious books. They also sell tons of fun games and toys here, for all ages. This branch also does 3D printing of temple models and has a Crumbl Cookies.
