I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. Raina. My son began seeing him when he was 16 years old and suffered his first seizure since birth. My son and Dr.Raina connected right away. My son even says that Dr. Raina is the only one that gets him. Dr.Raina is very knowledgable and patient. He takes the time to really listen to his patients and families. He is very accessible, and there for his patients on short notice, which is a comfort while you are going through this journey. We will be moving on to an adult neurologist soon and I can tell you, those shoes will be hard to fill.

I cannot recommend Dr. Raina enough. He is a wonderful doctor and extremely compassionate person. My daughter has been seeing him for over 6 years, since she was 8 months old. Dr. Raina always takes his time to explain everything to us in detail and makes sure we understand what is happening. Both of my kids love him and always have so much fun during appointments because he takes the time to interact with them. He has tirelessly worked to help me advocate for her with other specialists or schools and has been instrumental in her development and growth. I highly recommend him.

If there was a way to give more than 5 stars then this would be the time I wish I could. Dr Raina is the perfect definition and example of what an AMAZING doctor truly is. When all other doctors weren’t listening to us regarding our daughter, Dr Raina heard us and validated our concerns which then lead to a diagnosis. I truly feel like we were blessed to have found him. All because of a google search I did because other doctors wouldn’t listen. The second we met him he made our family feel welcome in his office and made my daughter feel relaxed even during a difficult and scary time. I will forever be indebted to Dr Raina in feeling like I could never repay him enough for his kindness, generosity and most importantly dedication to our daughter. He truly is one of a kind and a blessing! Thank you Dr Raina for helping get our 11 year old daughter back to herself and being such a patient and kind hearted person. You are truly a gift!

Dr. Raina has been my daughter's doctor for at least 10 years. We had done a lot of research and focused on finding a good doctor that actually listened and really cared about their patients. Dr. Raina really cares about the health and safety of the children. He focused to find a solution for my daughter and was there when we needed him, even after hours. My husband and I trusted that he would help our daughter and he did. He used to be local and wherever he went, we followed. He started his own practice and although hours away, we still take our daughter to the appointments. Yes, he is that good. My daughter really loves her doctor because he takes the time to explain/educate her about seizures and makes her feel comfortable. We thank Dr Raina for his help taking care of our daughter and helping her get through this journey-together. She is a happy and a thankful young lady. As she has been growing up, she will always have her favorite doctor! Blessings!

Dr. Raina is simply incredible! Our daughter has been under his care for several years and genuinely looks forward to her office visits which is quite telling considering being under the care of a neurologist can be scary for a young girl. Dr. Raina’s care for our daughter goes beyond the practice of medicine; we truly feel he cares for her the way a parent does a child. His support, patience, availability, compassion and ability to listen to hear & help is everything we could ask for in a doctor and more!!

Dr Raina, and the technician we worked with, were both so amazing with our child! They made him feel really comfortable and they were very thorough with his care. When your child needs to see a specialist for tests it can be a scary experience, but we are so grateful that everyone made us feel at ease thanks to their kind demeanor, knowledge, and competence.

I agree with all other reviews. I cannot find words to thank Dr Raina for his care and compassion towards the health of my son. He advised us to take my son to UC Davis emergency and he went beyond what I can imagine. Dr Raina, contacted UC Davis and told them we are on our way and during the weekend he stayed in contact with us and checked for my son's test results. Also, his staff is amazing, they allowed us to see Dr Raina on the same day. Thanks Dr Raina, you are an outstanding doctor and good person.

I shadowed Dr. Raina for a week and was so inspired by the way he communicates with his patients and how much knowledge he had about any given topic. He's very easy and interesting to talk to and I've learnt so much about common neurological disorders that affect children and plenty about the medical field in general. I would suggest reaching out to Dr. Raina if you're an aspiring medical student because he is indeed a great mentor.

I am writing this review as a current medical student who spent a week working with Dr. Raina at CEPN. I was compelled to write a review because I had such a positive experience there. As a former pediatric nurse and current medical student, I have had the pleasure of working with many great doctors and Dr. Raina is one of the most impressive I have come across. His practice is as close to flawless as a doctor’s office can get. Patients would enter the building and be greeted by a pleasant and energetic receptionist. None of that walking in to see someone behind a desk texting who doesn’t even look up. His lobby and examination rooms were sparking clean and decorated with colorful pictures, numbers, letters, and other pediatric-appropriate décor. I never saw a patient wait more than 15 minutes past their scheduled appointment time to be seen. I am accustomed to waiting at least 45 minutes for my personal doctors' appointments but it’s not like that at CEPN. Many patients were returning patients and Dr. Raina remembered the smallest little details about them. Whether it was what sport they played, what classes they were doing, etc., I could tell he was engaged in the conversations with them and not just being polite and making small talk. The parents seemed to feel comfortable and safe sharing what they were bringing their child in for. Even though some children were initially shy and hiding in the corner, Dr. Raina would coax them out with a stuffed animal or book. Dr. Raina went to school for years and years and has tons of knowledge about neurology, psychiatry, and pediatrics but he was always humble, never arrogant, and did not talk down to people. I was also able to meet his daughter when I was rotating at his practice and it became clear why he was so good with kids. Dr. Raina told me about how the community supported him when he started his practice so giving back to them is important to him. In a showing of gratitude, he was mentoring local high school students and wrote them letters of recommendation during his breaks throughout the day. When I envision a doctor I want to be like, I envision Dr. Raina.

I never will recommend Dr Raina to anyone !! I asked for blood work to be done on my son for genetic testing and he turned me down. He then "diagnosed" my son with autism in less than 5 minutes. My son got a referral to UC Davis where they did genetic testing and they found he has a genetic syndrome. For 2 years , Dr.raina has had me believe my son has had autism to find out he does not !!

Dr. Raina is amazing! Was able to have the consultation, EEG, and results within a week and a half! Dr. Raina was patient, listened to us, and came well prepared to meeting with us. The staff were also very nice, and efficient! I would give 10 stars for my experience!

We told Dr Raina that we were so impressed with him and his clinic and I was not saying it to be polite. He has excellent bedside manners, very thorough and reassuring. Even if Michelle sees patients, he stops by and makes sure he meets all patients who come to his clinic or greets them at the front desk. In these times where appointments and test procedures are so backlogged, his office was able to get us in the very next day when we told them we are travelling international in a few weeks. Diagnostic test scheduled in 5 days, medication ordered and in hand and sent home with a diagnosis and plenty of information. Incredible efficiency! The test was traumatic for my toddler but there really was no other way around it and everyone was so empathetic. This is what healthcare should be like across the country. Planning to tell my pediatrician to send all referrals to Dr Raina going forward.

This summer, I was able to shadow Dr. Raina because of the internship program for students. I spent two days shadowing Dr. Raina. I learned many things within two days. Amazing and very supportive staff. I am very appreciative of the opportunity.
