Very bad customer service. My wife came to the store and she was treated badly by an an associate, unfortunately. The cashier was not trained on the proper customer service basics although she spent a ling time working in the store. The cashier should learn not to profile people based on their accents or physical appearance. She should not ask about where the customer is from if they have a problem with the customer’s attitude. there are better ways to handle an angry or frustrated customer. People fled to the United States to escape many forms of discrimination and they are not ready to go through the same traumatic experiences they had back where they were victimized. I felt so angry for the cashier’s treatment of my wife and I hope the store manager would address this issue in a professional manner.

Overly priced high for a discount store. I find same item I can get a Macy's using my discounts in my wallet. Store is very organized.

Staff is really rude. Like extremely rude. Everything in clearance, they told me has regular price. On top of that super rude.

the coordinator waheeda is so rude she has no manners. I had a 20 dollar return WITH RECEIPT but she made me feel like a thief and not welcome. Her attitude towards me was not cool. You lost a customer tjmaxx

I like TJ Maxx! Their home section is the bomb! They have a ton of awesome decor, & lots marked down as well. Really pretty jewelry options too- & a lot! Purses/bags, & beauty/makeup as well. This will be a regular spot for me. They don't seem to have a lot of staff- so checking out was a little bit of a process but hey! We get it!

truly one of the strangest, most disgusting experiences i've had at a store??? so a skirt I had chosen had only one in my size, I took it to the cashier and realized it had a,, stain, on it. a noticeable stain, she took out a wet paper towel, and just soaked the area with liquid? and said fixed. it gets worse when I showed a picture from before to my friends and they pointed out it looked like a certain,, bodily fluid. they said to take soap on the area and wash it, and bring it back if the stain was still there. I was so shocked I just took it and left because the store was closing and it was late,, but it just gets grosser the more I think of it

I found a $5.99 college hoodie that I have found across multiple Marshalls and TJMaxx locations across Virginia and Maryland. I purchased all of them with no problem EXCEPT from this location. The cashier lady (name starts with a Z) saw the hoodie I wanted to purchase when it was time to checkout, and she thought I was trying to steal by way of changing tags. They took 20 minutes trying to find an identical hoodie in the store, but I possessed the last one in the store. When they finally come back, they bring a $19.99 hoodie and try to get me to pay that price vs the $5.99. I explained to them that this is a deal that I've caught multiple time at many different locations. They finally scan the item to see if it matched the department (which they should've done in the beginning) and finally realized it was the correct price. The checkout lady wanted to accuse me of stealing so bad, and when she was wrong she treated me with an attitude the rest of the transaction. She even tossed the bag at me. Worst treatment I've ever received from any TJMaxx, Marshalls, Homegoods, or Sierra location.

Ignorance is bliss... I hope I never have to shop at this TJMAX. The staff seems pretty green and lack customer service. I visited today to return a few items, 1 was a bathing suit I did have the receipt and the other was the item in the picture. First of all I shop here way too much know if I have used my debit card the refund can be tendered as cash or back to the card. I do not understand why the cashier insisted on it going to the card. After resolving that issue, I asked if they could check the item I was exchanging and the same cashier just blow me off, as to just go and look and then come back. This is where customer service would show up and out. Oh yes ma'am, let me look up the item to see if we still have it in our system. It seems we no longer have this item in our inventory, however you could order it on line or I can check another TJMAX for the item! This is not that TJMAX, so I have to search for the item which wasn't there and then come back and stand in a very long line to exchange the item and waste more time. The cashier had to refund the item first to a store card. She then rang the items and had me apply the store card and took it back. I felt like the land of the dumb, and this cashier was the stores coordinator. Here is something I don't usually do, tell companies how to run your business. If you want business you have to show good will. This is TJMAX, my usual receipt is at least $100- $200. Be helpful not distrustful, and your customers will continue to spend money at your business.

TJ Maxx can be great, but this one doesn't even honor their own sales. The lady at the register was rude and disrespectful. Shoppers beware, the 50% off sale does not apply to the items in the 50% off section and only applies to Christmas items. However, I would love to know what the definition of a Christmas item is, because what we were trying to buy is literally called "Santa's Bags". Is Santa no longer a part of Christmas? Perhaps there's a different Christmas I'm unaware of? The cashier blamed customers for moving things into the 50% off area, but those "customers" just so happened to be so diligent to move all their stock to the 50% off section. This wasn't the only item. Was also told the holiday tissue paper was not part of the sale either. Upon telling the cashier I wasn't buying it I was then informed I could go return the items to the sale section that isn't actually on sale. On the bright side, the things we did purchase, she couldn't figure out how to work the register so she had to check us out with two separate transactions which gives us two chances to win a $500 TJ Maxx gift card and leave two poor surveys.

To make this short. Great products. Only few issues was people leaving their carts and going somewhere completely different, staff chatting stopping in the middle of the aisle and leaving several carts around the store leaving some aisles blocked and having to redirect. Other than that cashiers were nice.

It's very organized most of times. I prefer Marshalls, better lay our overall, over TJ Maxx but nice that I have both so close by.

Good variety of cloths at affordable prices

This is the Mecca of Tj Maxx. They have everything and is so nice. I went while visiting my sister and was super jealous to see all her high end shopping options at such a low price. Jewelry counter person has an complex, but besides that it was great.

I’m watching an employee stand to the left of the registers talking rather than helping ring customers up and the line is extremely long. This place has horrible service.

Not sure when there’s at-least 30 customers in line to check out and only 2 cashiers at 1:30 pm on a weekday. Brought my 87 year old mother and the wouldn’t let us checkout at the jewelry counter. We left. Not worth it. TJMaxx please do better!
