Valley Medical Center is a good hospital up the hill in Renton, WA. My younger sister was there for the COVID-19 treatment last year, and the staff took good care of her. She recovered in a short period. Right before Thanksgiving this year, my other younger sister was rushed to the hospital for a stroke. She never recovered, and we sadly lost her on the third day. However, the hospital staff was so accommodating with the big family we have going in to see my sister in the ICU, but then one of the nurses lost her patience on the last day when they pulled the plug on my younger sister, Lisa. Despite losing my younger sister, I highly recommend this hospital to anyone who needs help.

Three days after giving birth, my wife got a toothache and we had to go to the emergency room. I explained the situation while checking in and told them about our 3-day-old breastfeeding baby back at home, hoping that someone would understand our situation. After about an hour of waiting in the lobby, they took us to a blue plastic room where we were asked about insurance. After that, they made us wait for about an hour for no apparent reason! Doctors and nurses were walking around, but none of them asked who we were or why we were there. I had to raise my concern, so I asked one of the nurses about the reason for putting us in the blue plastic waiting area. She said she didnā€™t know but would find out. After about another 15 minutes, A doctor showed up for 10 seconds and, after taking a quick look, said he couldnā€™t do anything other than write a prescription for some antibiotics. He left and, after about 30-minute wait, the nurse brought the discharge papers! I noticed some discrimination in the clinic. The doctors and staff weren't treating us as they were treating other native citizens. They donā€™t care about the patients' problems, especially if they know that the patient is not native and is not aware of their rights. I donā€™t even know if anyone even cares about these problems or not!

Been here many times over my life while in need and the staff and facility has always been awesome. I have also been here countless times for business. No matter what I go for, I have always been happy with everything from Security to nurses and doctors to janitorial services to the architectural designs. I have not been let down at this hospital and I have been to MANY hospitals across Washington State. I'm not saying they are perfect, I'm just saying I'm very happy with this hospital in all my dealings. Thanks to you all!

Unpleasant impressions from the visit of this hospital. My sister came to the hospital with a high fever which had been on for more than a week, weakness, and other symptoms. She has been experiencing with poor and not professional examination, was not given an X-ray, did not get a blood test, only diagnosed covid and was sent home for treatment with Ibuprofen and Tylenol. As a result, my sister has pneumonia, which was diagnosed in other hospital. I am not recommending this hospital to anyone. Don't waste your time and money and stay healthy!! If you will not think by yourself of your health no one take care of you.

This was the worst experience in my life. I had a stroke last year and went to the hospital yesterday because i was having similar symptoms. When I got to the ER I told the staff my health issues. My blood pressure was elevated, i had a massive headache, I was dizzy, and just not feeling well. I waited in the lobby for 4 hours before being called to the back. I was only called to the back because my partner kept telling them how serious my condition was. Once I got to the back no one came in my room for an hour. I wasn't hooked to a heart monitor, no one checked my blood pressure, and i did not receive an EKG. I had to press the call light for someone to come in. They ran blood work 6 hours after i was there and gave me a CT scan. It took hours for someone to give me the results. This was the worst care I have ever received in my entire life. I was there for a total of 11 hours and still did not receive any answers as to why I am not feeling well. Also, my room was very dirty. There was old tissue under the bed, the floors look like they have never been cleaned, and the bathroom was disgusting. I was not treated like a stroke patient. When I first got to the room they did not put the guard rails up. Someone from a different dept came in the room and put them up for me. I was not given non-slip socks even though I am a fall risk. And they did not treat my high blood pressure. Luckily, I had my meds in my purse. I will NEVER go to this hospital again!!!!!!! I am disappointed in the lack of care, understanding, and professionalism. I could have had another stroke! 11 hours?!! NEVER COME HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE

The birth center staffs are amazing! But this one review is for the ER department. Some of the staff are nice but itā€™s more of lack of communication while youā€™re waiting for long periods of time for the result of whatā€™s going on with you. I was finally seen at 1pm after waiting since 11am. I get a room. An hour goes by no one comes and checks on you and letā€™s you know someone will be with you shortly. It is 2pm and someone comes in and takes my blood, pressure and urine. They said it will be 30 mins until they know something. It is now 3:30pm and no communication from any of the nurses. During the time I am waiting, I beeped the button for the nurses to find out any update. No responds from any nurses.if they do respond,The only thing they said was wait for my nurse or sheā€™s waiting for the results. Iā€™m still in pain!

Gave birth at this hospital and honestly wished i went to Auburn hospital instead. The nurse didn't seem to care to ve careful giving my daughter her first birth. No one checked on me when I was alone. I only went here because my daughters dad likes this hospital for some reason. I had a better birthing experience at Auburn vs this location. There staff seems to care and will be there when you need them.

ER EXPERIENCE- Giving this place one star is not enough. If I could give 0 I would. Iā€™ve been treated with better respect in fast food places. One of the ā€œmental health counselorsā€ here not only escalated an already sensitive situation but lied to the patients family, claiming he had signed non disclosure forms and that he said he didnā€™t want his family knowing where he was. This lady denied me from coming in or speaking to him, telling him itā€™s because Iā€™m ā€œcrazyā€ for calling 4 times simply to ask if he was awake. I was told Iā€™d receive a call back and never did so I called back multiple times and apparently that makes me, crazy. I donā€™t think itā€™s appropriate for any medical staff to speak this way about a person, considering she assumed I donā€™t have mental health issues of my own, which were affected after hearing someone call me ā€œcrazyā€ for meaning good intentions in trying to let my boyfriend know he had other options than what they were recommending. They lied to the patient and family. After going to Swedish, this experience makes this place look like an absolute joke.

The emergency room -this place is disgusting. They are so unprofessional and rude. One of the nurses left me in blood after gave me an IV it was all over the remote and bed and she just grabbed a sheet and covered it up. I had to push nurse button another nice nurse came in to help me clean it up. He changed my sheets and cleaned the blood off the remote. I should have taken a picture of it it was gross. The staff just act if if they donā€™t like working here. I called on my nurse button to ask for a snack because I have not eaten all day and am finished with my cat scan it is 1;30 pm and she just blew me off. She could care less. My best friend told me to go to over lake in Bellevue I should have listened. At least the doctor was pretty nice this time. He seemed to really care as well as that nurse that came in to help and finish the job the nurse should have the first time. That was such a biohazard ā˜£ļø

After a recent visit to the ER room as well as the operating room, I was left with mixed feelings on the service. Some of the nurses and doctors had outstanding demeanors and we're very helpful. Whereas other nurses seem to be very sharp with their attitude. For some reason each staff member is operating with a different rule book. After being told that I would see my wife after surgery, I came to find out that she was told to leave the hospital as it was past visiting hours. The overall experience of myself and my wife was less than satisfactory. To the point that I got very close to having an ROC nurse restricted from my room during my stay.

I wish I wouldā€™ve taken down the name of every nurse that cared for my father in the critical care unit because each one of them was so kind and compassionate. Always ready to answer questions and take care of any needs of my father. They would ask what he likes to eat so they could order him food that he might eat. When I was out of town, the doctors would call me regularly to give me updates and when I would speak to the nurses and my call couldnā€™t be transferred they would go to my dadā€™s room and call me from there so I could speak to him. When we needed more information to know what was going on, the doctor found a room to sit down with all of us an answer every question in the kindest and most compassionate way as well as reminding us that itā€™s important to take care of ourselves during this time.

Probably one of the worst hospitals around. My wife had surgery here almost 9 months and it's looking like they did more damage than good but they will not release her X-rays to her and it's really seemingly like we're going to have sue this horrible place. We are now sitting in the ER while they say she's not a priority screaming in pain and bleeding from multiple places. Shut this place down.

They don't deserve a single star. Staff has terrible attitudes and even worst bedside manner; with some pretty obvious microagressions. The wait time is extremely long no matter what time you arrive or how dire your circumstances are, and don't expect updates or an apology. Don't show any visible signs of frustration either, because I've seen them weaponize security against people who have a valid reason to question the inexcusable extensive wait times. I will never go to this horrible hospital ever again in my life. I wouldn't advise the person reading this review to waste their time either.

Visited ER to treat my mother who was in terrible pain. Wait time was under 2 hours. We spent most of our waiting time inside of the ER in a room. I heard a lot of commotion a few times, so I'm assuming there were more critical patients that needed to be seen before us. I've waited for MUCH longer up in North Seattle for my grandpa who was having heart issues back when he was alive. Front desk staff where a bit prickly, but the nurses and Dr where eager to help and helped my mom keep her spirits up with good conversation while they worked. Helpful in responding to our concerns and questions. We have an idea of next steps thanks to the staff.

Took my son to the ER. They took him back, set him up in a room then called me an hour later to say he was being released because he had no insurance. He does have insurance but no one bothered to check so he was thrown out of the hospital at 11:00 that evening. Disgusting and probably illegal. I'll be looking into it more to make sure they are held accountable.

I experienced sudden severe chest and arm pain. My wife drove me to the Valley ER. When I went into the ER I was finding it difficult to stand and had to squat while waiting in line. My wife came in and got me a wheelchair. After checking me in they took an EKG and blood. They asked me my pain level, I said 6 to 7, with pain across my entire chest and arms. They entered it as mild pain on the chart. They said a doctor would review the tests in about an hour, and if it wasn't urgent the wait would be 6 to 7 hours. After waiting another 75 minutes I spoke with the nurse, they determined that I was not a priority, and that my wait would be at least 5 hours. There was a woman seated near me that had been there over 8 hours. She was asking her husband to take her home. I decided it must not be heart related, since the ER staff wasn't concerned. So I went home to rest. The following Monday I went to my doctor, and she said I had had a heart attack. I went back to the ER and got checked in after 15 minutes. I don't know how much additional damage was done to my heart due to a 2-day delay in treatment. If I had a chance to do it again, I would go to Tacoma General or UW Medical Center for suspected heart problems. I think the main problem with the ER is the hospitalā€™s policies and procedures. Certain patients in the ER should be reevaluated every hour. To take a test and not recheck it for 8 or 10 hours is ridiculous. After I finally got seen the rest of the hospital staff was very good to excellent.

Dr. D. Nguyen MD made my appointment absolutely terrible. When i was called back for my physical, Nguyen didnā€™t seem to care about anything i had to say. I felt really rushed as he just kept asking me questions with out listening to my explanation. I was in and out within 20 mins. He doesnā€™t care about anything you say and just cares about being paid. Absolutely the worst check-up Iā€™ve ever had. Wouldnā€™t recommend this his place at all. Dr. Nguyen doesn't car about your needs at all. I would address multiple issues Iā€™m having and all he says is ā€œlets just focus on your back problemsā€ and never asked about the other issues i addressed

Went in to the ER for appendicitis at 4pm on Thursday. Had fantastic care. Triage did a great job and I had blood taken in the first 5 minutes I was there, and got it on the first stick. I was put into the acute care queue, and got into the ER room at 9:00. The provider listened to my story and put in for a quick CT scan. The CT scan tech was very sweet and attentive, and gave very good descriptions of the contrast injection and scan. The night general surgeon saw me for surgical consult around 9:30. He was great to talk to and made me feel confident in my decision to come to the ER for surgery. The nurse who gave me my antibiotics gave good conversation to put me at ease while hooking up the IV. I was moved to a different room by a new tech named Ian (only been there for two weeks) and his supervisor. Ian had a great bedside manner and made sure I was comfortable while I was hooked up for overnight care. I hope he makes a great career! The next morning I was taken great care of by the nurses, and made it to the OR pre-op room. There a nurse named Topher went through over my whole health history, and the anesthesiologist came in to talk about the procedure. Right before I went in I got to talk to the Day Surgeon. Anesthesia went great because I donā€™t remember a thing. Recovery was tricky but the nurses saw to it I was comfortable. They even wheeled me outside to be picked up. The next day I got a follow up call from the recovery nurse. I can definitely say that it was a great experience. 5 stars for everyone that I interacted with, from the front counter, to the recovery nurses. My only concern was the wait time, but that was because there was many patients that needed to be seen, and I think Triage did a good job assessing who needed care first.

They have a very streamlined and safe ER check in experience. In two hours they were able to do an EKG, MRI, assess the other symptoms and take the situation very seriously without adding additional stressors. They were thorough and didn't feel rushed but did take the matter seriously and did all preliminary testing very quickly. Everyone was kind, which was pleasantly surprising. I definitely went home feeling confident in their abilities and recommend to anyone who is trying to decide what ER to go to or are nervous about having to stop here.

Valley medical is trash. My best friend has me as her main contact. I am actively getting updates on her surgery, and these halfwits wont let me see her after surgery. They have my number and my name, all verified ID by my friend and they still.wont let me into her room. This place is trash. Never bring your loved ones here if you care about them. Edit to add that my friend does not have family nearby or in state at all. I have proven my involvement from.the text updates on surgery that I am receiving. Tjey do not care. Never again will I ever recommend anyone that I care about to come to this hospital. It took me 30 minutes and a half mile walk around the hospital to figure all of this nonsense out as well. Useless employees and staff. Dont believe me, gonahead and try it for yourself lmao.

Was nervous to go here as reviews were hit and miss. I ended up having one of the best ER visits Iā€™ve had in a long time. I was seen last night maybe an hour wait- which is expected. Got in and everyone had great bedside manner (extremely rare for me in the last 10yrs), accommodating and really listened to everything I was dealing with. Helped with my anxiety promptly and continued to check on my vitals throughout my visit. I think people forget ERs are always varying depending on whoā€™s coming in and the severity. No matter how important things feel for u and your loved ones, we never know whatā€™s going on on the other side of those doors. Friendly reminder to try to be patient and kind, it pays off for everyone ā¤ļø

Staff at the Birth center are absolutely amazing. I am so grateful to Dr Clay and her team, really everyone was so kind, caring and so thoughtful, they made this such a positive experience. The nurses were great, they shared important lessons on how to best take care of baby, while being supportive and gentle with me. Special thanks to nurse Sheena, she took such good care of me, it's like she was my sister.

My PCP referred me to this place because I have hair growing in my throat, which isn't supposed to happen. Simple ENT referral for a scope exam. Nothing too complicated. This place decided to say that since my PCP listed with my health insurance is not the same PCP who referred me, so they can't proceed. Every other referral from my PCP has been handled without any such nonsense, so I assume it's just this place that has a money and semantics-first policy like this. Oh well. I've been using the same insurance with the same PCP for years, so I'm not going to be playing the insurance game just to have someone take a physical look in my throat for crying out loud. I'll find a healthcare provider that puts healthcare first instead of money.

My mom is here now. She has stage 4 metastatic bone cancer. She broke her hip getting into bed 5 days ago and had surgery. Since then, everyone has been all about getting her out of here and into rehab. That's all fine, but due to the cancer, she can't use her right arm and has very limited use of her left. The tumor in her jaw makes it very hard to eat. Her "good" leg hurts as much as the one with the broken hip. She hasn't been able to shower since December because she can't step into the tub and can't raise her arms to wash her hair. How is she going to rehab her leg? The Last time she saw her oncologist was in October. She decided then not to pursue treatment. In the last few days though, radiation has been offered up as an option to reduce bone pain and possibly prolong her life. She agreed that she could at least talk to an oncologist about all of her options so she could make an informed decision. The palliative care doc assured us that an oncologist would be coming in so we could talk about appropriate scans to see exactly where we are with the cancer. That isn't happening now because Dr. Chen decided it wasn't necessary. It seems that it would be common sense for a cancer patient to be seen by an oncologist at some point. Her bone broke because of the cancer. But the only focus is on her hip and everyone keeps acting surprised when she complains about her other pain. Aside from a few awesome nurses,we are largely being ignored. This is most likely happening in all hospitals as we are nothing but dollar signs to them, but damn is it frustrating.

I was always hesitant to come to this hospital based off others experiences. I couldnā€™t get a hold of my My dr at Overlake for a follow up procedure so I moved forward with my OBGYN Dr. Kundacina for a hysteroscopy DC and IUD placement. She is amazing, made me feel at ease and had a great team beside her. The only issue I had was breathing in the anasthesia and swollen inner lip after surgery( like a cold sore) :( not sure what happenedā€¦ but itā€™s been healing fine. The nurses were exceptional here very attentive checked on me every 10 mins or so to ensure I wasnā€™t in any pain or uncomfortable. Theyā€™re all 10s! Im less fearful now if I ever have to go back to Valley M.

I am so grateful for the care I received during what was a very scary time in my life recently. The ER doctor Dr. Milne was kind and on top of getting me assessed and admitted to the medical floor for treatment. I can tell that Valley has a positive work culture as everyone I came into contact with from my nurses to the environmental services staff cleaning my room were sharing positive things like they hope I feel better soon. I will come here again and recommend them to anyone who asks. Thank you!!

I've been going here for physical therapy for my shoulder. I went in thinking I was just getting old and breaking down, and I was very pessimistic about what results I could expect. I have been pleasantly surprised by the incredible improvements I have seen! I have almost full range and strength back, which I never would have thought possible. The facilities and equipment are clean and professional. The staff are all friendly, helpful, and competent. I have an assigned individual physical therapist who has an excellent manner and an expansive knowledge of the human body. I'm genuinely going to miss my PT visits when I "graduate", which... that feels very weird to say. A+, highly recommended this facility and staff.

Today, the 25th of March, I took my Sister to get an emergency x-ray. The receptionist asked if we had an appointment and I told her that I didn't know She then told us to go down the hall and talk to the people at the window around the corner. I accidentally bypassed the window and came back and saw the other gal. Both of the ladies were absolutely unprofessional and rude. I have never been treated this way from any of the other departments. Their level of customer service could probably improve if someone trained them. They are the first impression of the Imaging and x-ray department. It left a bad taste to be treated like this.

Went into the ER for to bad infection and trash all over my body. Waited less than a half hour, was brought back for vitals and immediately brought back to a room. Took the doc maybe 5 minutes max before he was in to see me. He was kind, funny, and figured out in 2 seconds what was causing all my issues (when I was in an out of urgent care 3x that same week prior). Finally got proper medication and relief of my symptoms. Everyone there was kind even though you could tell they were super busy and a bit overwhelmed. It was my first time at this hospital and I was a bit weary, but it was a great experience overall.

Currently sitting and waiting with my husband, he's been here for about 6hrs now. We were sent to the closest ER by an urgent care clinic for suspected appendicitis. Again, this was about 6-7 hours ago now. So far the Dr has poked his stomach, asked him a couple questions about his symptoms, and prescribed what's basically their version of Pepto. A little pissed. Update! Pretty sure they forgot about him, 1)when I first got here, they sent me to the wrong room to find him 2)a tech walked up to our room saying "hey, you don't look like a 96 yr old man!" (He's in his 30s, so correct you are) 3)taking it up on myself to look for a nurse and ask for an update got them where they needed to be within the next 5 or so minutes Conclusion the next day. They 100% forgot he was there. Multiple families were in and out as we were sitting in the back waiting for "test results". Mind you he sat in the chair they put him in for the same amount of time he was in their waiting room, 4 hours. They didn't show up to draw blood until about 2 HRS after they brought him to their zip-tied together cubicle of a room, and after they'd run the basic tests and palpated, they shoved narcotics at us and shrugged about the diagnosis. Absolutely NEVER going back to this hospital, and I hate that I have to associate with it at all working at a funeral home. After our experience and seeing the other reviews, I'm thoroughly disgusted. Extra update:asked where to send the prescription and they sent it to the wrong place, it's an hour away from where we live. Screw this place honestly.

This hospital is terrible. My adult nephew went in with 1 leg broken and the other foot sprained plus his right arm sprained. Both the ER doctor and the social worker didnā€™t listen to how he couldnā€™t manage to walk since both legs were in pain etcā€¦they not only wouldnā€™t send him to a rehab facility they sent him home with nothing to help him get around. They said he didnā€™t qualify to go to rehab, what a joke. They didnā€™t want to bother. Could be he has only state medicalā€¦.Travel to Seattle, the Eastside, Burien or to Tacoma for a hospital rather than go to Valley. I thought joining the UW system would change things but it didnā€™t.

Upon my discharge at Valley Medical Center it was horrific. They got me a Lyft n was told to stop by pharmacy. Which turned out I couldnā€™t get all meds. 80 Tylenol after breast removal I got that and was wheeled out while that nurse was talking to surgeon office about what the pharmacy told me to do. The pharmacy told me to call the surgeon n they needed a hard copy. Just straight confusion. I had meds at home per the surgeon who sent me a list of option days later. My thought was why go by pharmacy at all if you felt that way. I left my discharge papers at pharmacy after the chaos n was told to drive down and get the meds I could get a day later. I asked should I drive just to see what response n the nurse told me exactly what I thought she would say. Now Iā€™m on narcotics I had for my chronic back n hip issues with arthritis. I was also told I didnā€™t ask for many meds for pain to justify their reasoning. Well in most cases you are still under the affects of anesthesia and numbing agent which leaves you quite numb for such a surgery so why would I ask for meds I donā€™t need. Now by my 4th day the feeling in that area is coming back n Iā€™m beginning to feel the sensation from the surgeon, oh n the 12 that was prescribed for the breast removal. I felt so insulted and treated horribly n my care in the hands of folks like this. After I left they were all rude. My follow up call from floor nurse sounded like a script in a robotic tone. On that note whole I was treated so poorly nobody discussed the fact that they didnā€™t know I was on blood thinner since 2019 n would have known until I left message n asked when should I stop taking it. I felt this place is good at passing the buck and not taking responsibility for very poor care especially after they are done making their money from the poor care. I found more professional people in a grocery store or department store than the medical field!

My wife and I were in a car accident, brought in the same ambulance, and our awesome paramedics even stood up for us, hoping the ensure that we could at least be in rooms next to each other....our nurses ignored them, and us, were rude, tried to take my ESA Dog from me, who was in the car with us, I am autistic, he's only 9 pounds, is quiet, and kind, and was just doing his job to help me stay calm because I was scared, he was scared, my wife was in pain, and so was I. Only my ER doctor was kind to me, as well as the paramedics, who stayed to make sure we were going to be okay. At one point, I could hear one ER nurse saying rude things about us. My wife is latina, and I am Caucasian. Thankfully they x-rayed my wife, and made sure nothing was serious. It wasn't, thank goodness. They NEVER x-rayed me. They barely listened to me. As I said, only the doctor I saw treated me kindly, and even checked my ESA dog to make sure he was okay. Bless him for that. I am still trying to heal from the accident, but making progress. Then, we come to find out that they billed my wife for everything, when our car insurance, and health insurance covers EVERYTHING. I, myself, never got billed. Luckily, we were able to dispute it, and found out that they hadn't listed her as a passenger, nor spouse, and billed her as though she were a stranger to me. WE ARE LEGALLY MARRIED, and we were in the same vehicle, and our paramedics made it clear that we were married, in the same car, and could stay next door to each other! Shame on them! Will definitely hope to never have to be a patient there again.

I went to the ER recently both for myself and also for my son. Ironically I ended up seeing the same Dr both times. He was so nice and was fantastic with my son. For me, I am an addict. I have been sober for several years though, so it is a toss up how I normally am treated anytime I have an issue. I either am treated like I am looking for pain meds or am making something up. I was in so much pain, I hadn't eaten or slept in days! And I literally prayed to get a dr who would just help me and believe me. And I did! This particular day the ER was very busy, so when I was called back I expected rushed nurses and Drs. That's not what I got at all, they were patient, understanding, and took there time to explain what was going on, what tests I needed, why they were doing them, what the results were and what kind of follow-up appointments and treatment I needed. Every staff member I have interacted with in fact was respectful, polite, professional, and quite caring. Month earlier my 5 year old had to get a COVID test and everyone was so nice to him and patient with him. My son needs things explained in detail before he can calm down and get it done. Both the dr and the nurses explained what they were doing and why they had to put a scary looking stick way up his nose. It probably took them 10 minutes to break it down and answer his questions, and they were so calm and patient with him. And he let them do it with no problem. I could go on and on but this is long enough lol.

This review is only for the gift shop employee/volunteer Evelyn who helped me so much on Saturday. I had a friend that went into the hospital on emergency and I am afraid I was a little lost. Evelyn helped so much!! She went out of her way to help me with not only picking a gorgeous gift basket but also figuring out what to do about finding out where my friend was so we could give it to her. What a lovely woman and her customer service and overall caring was the thing that got me through that day. I only hope that I am spelling her name correctly. Thank you Evelyn!

99% of all the people that work here either hate there jobs or simply just don't care. If this was not an essential service, this place would be shut down. Most every person here goes out of there way to avoid eye contact let alone speak to you. From the nursing staff to cafeteria workers to sanitation people. There was one bright spot here Sarah on the 6th floor is an angel posing as a nurse. Thank you Sarah! If everyone here had her attitude the world would be a better place. If you have a choice, avoid this place at all cost.

Have brought family here over the years - their ER is wonderful. Such caring doctors and nurses. Dr. Fang, the internal medicine doc on staff and so many more whose names I can't even remember - so kind and caring - and just SO MANY wonderful humans working together there to save lives, help people and more. If there is a long wait - there is a reason. Be patient with our hospital workers who work so hard to save lives and also these are the people who have to do the things no one else wants to do - and put up with really tough situations and unhappy sick people.

Nearly every experience I've ever had here was good. They have for the most part always taken great care of me. Tonight I came in with an abscessed tooth to the ER. They had me in and out in less than 30 minutes. Dr. Sullivan is SO sweet!

Prepare to have your car either stolen or pieces of your car stolen while you're in the hospital. Let me come visit a family member whose probably spending what... $70k to get treatment for a few days but the hospital is too cheap to take the safety and security of your vehicle seriously. Freaking get some real security cameras that cover your parking garage, have security patrol, and make people feel safe. Is that really so hard?

Our surgical experience was excellent from beginning to end. As a healthcare worker, Iā€™ve worked in many hospitals in northwest WA (never this one, though). A loved one had surgery here and I was extremely impressed by the compassionate care from all staff (preop, surgical, recovery, and up on 5th floor inpatient care). Everyone followed universal precautions (not something I see at the hospitals in my area up north, unfortunately). No complaints and Iā€™d definitely recommend coming here. Just an opinion, but I believe the average rating of Valley Medical would be higher if it werenā€™t for the low ratings from Emergency Room visits which are bound to be pretty awful by nature (way too busy with long wait times everywhere these days).

I had an amazing experience in the ER department with Dr. Kaufmann and the entire team of staff when I was having an allergic reaction. Everyone was so kind, compassionate, and I was treated with great dignity and respect. Definitely applaud this efficient group of health care workers.

Went in for my fiancĆ©s appendicitis and he got put into triage right away! Everyone was so nice and made him feel way more calm and less stressed. We got into surgery within 4 hours or so and Dr. Han was so great and had amazing bedside manner! Rodney and Gerri were also very kind and helpful. The nurses were very enduring of my fiancĆ©s terrible jokes and they all acted very interested in hearing about his cats which was very nice. They let him go home that night which was important to him bc he canā€™t sleep not in his own bed and then called in the morning to check on him! Great experience!

I was taken to the emergency room by ambulance after experiencing a sudden, painful attack, including a debilitating weakness. After admittance, I also experienced violent shivers. I was given a ct scan and diagnosed with diverticulitis and sepsis. (I have had sepsis before and know that the violent shivers are a symptom.) I was transferred to ICU. The next day I started having diarrhea and the doctor suggested I be tested for C.diff, a bacterial infection. I was transferred to a room where I was treated with antibiotics, with isolation protocols. Thank goodness, I quickly recovered. I did not have a single negative experience during my 12-day stay in the hospital. From the housekeeper up through the doctors, including medical and administrative staff, I was treated with respect and care. They made me feel better physically, but just as important, they made me feel good about myself.

This is my go-to ER and they always take great care of me and my husband. We went after a car crash and they were incredibly thorough and kind. More recently ER doctor Scott Miline conducted extremely thorough testing and was able to find an abnormality with my husband. The doctors, nurses, and staff are always kind and professional.

I saw Dr. Cynthia Knutson and she was friendly, compassionate and knowledgeable. She recognized my anxiety about the procedure and she made me feel safe and relaxed without judging me. The procedure was done successfully and timely. Her nurse Scott was also fabulous and not only helped her through the procedure but helped me feel comfortable.

Myself and my wife were violently threatened by a nurse or nurse practitioner named Adam. He has short hair and a short beard. I will never return to this medical facility again after the treatment that we received here. There is no place for threatening violence in a hospital.
