Awesome little local beach with grit and history! Parking is limited and in a residential neighborhood, you walk across a caged bride over the train tracks and walk down a flight of stairs to access the beach. There's a covered picnic area and cool old rusty stuff, rocky beach, view of the Narrows Bridge, The Sound Park is not ADA accessible

My favorite beach to go to since I was 5. A great place to relax and enjoy the views and pebble rock beach.

Love this beach! Filled with rocks and little crabs. Less busy than Sunnyside. Spectacular views of the sunset still. Sometimes get a peep of a seal!

Had a good time here! Beautiful view of the sound and the Olympic Mountains and surrounding islands

Beautiful beach however the train trestle poses a huge problem for folks to walk down the very steep stairs and it was hard for our dog to negotiate the metal stairs too...I think it hurt her 🐾paws but it wouldn't hurt to see for yourself.

The stairs may be hard for small children or animals but it's worth the climb! 😍

Quiet and out of the way. Went during the week about midday. Nice little rock beach with lots of cool rocks and a nice view (brief dolphin sighting!). Would go back! There is limited parking and a steep staircase to access the beach.

Nice place to unwind. It has benches or you can sit by the beach.

Took the pups for a playdate here, the bridge across and stairs down are pretty intense, all 3 of my medium size dogs struggled to make it across, down and back up again. There is metal grating used and you can see through to the ground which is far down, it also seemed to hurt their paws a bit. Once on the beach, it was nice and empty, but extremely rocky. The view was fantastic and there were lots of crabs and jellyfish to look at. If you want a secluded experience, and don't mind lots of rocks, then this a great beach for you. I would definitely be careful bringing pups though.

Super chill, low key spot to take in the beauty of Puget Sound.

Small rocky peaceful beach. Nice views. No bathroom at this time. Not ADA accessible. No marina. Very steep steel steps to go down over the train tracks and back up.

If you are looking for a quiet rocky beach to enjoy the scenery of the puget sound, this is a great place. There is a small covered area. You can see the Tacoma narrows bridge. Sometimes I see porpoises, seals, and other creatures. There is a small bathroom that is sometimes open.

Be prepared for a steep staircase to reach this beach that that still has plenty of stones to throw; a nice place to stroll and watch the sun set.

New bridge is nice but the stairs are STEEP. Beach is rocky. We launched kayaks and paddle boards and went across to ketron. Pretty cool.

It's an ok beach on hot days I guess, not very crowded. Water wasn't very clean, not very inviting to swim. Jellyfish Water is very cold which I personally like a lot

It's a local beach. Never crowded. Neat over the railroad crossing that's fun to stand on while the train roars beneath you.

Awesome little rocky beach. Stairs to the beach are STEEP, so be careful. We saw porpoises, seals, and trains up close. Your kids will have fun and you don't have to worry about cleaning up sand afterwards.

You have to navigate a pretty steep staircase, but once you do that, the views are sweeping, the beach is clean and it's not crowded.

This place was great! Get there early, and skip the busy beach! My kids just loved it. Although, I underestimated the steep stairs but other than that, it's a beautiful place and so close so no traveling far for a beach experience.

This is a beautiful rocky beach that had a wonderful sunset overlooking looking three islands that the feer ran to. Behind the beach is some railroad tracks, so you get to see the trains going by. There is no sand, just rocks. If you sit and watch the water you can see dolphins and fish jumping in and out of the top of the water. It is just a gorgeous place.

Always a mellow and serene time when we come here. Usually not a ton of people either.

Beautiful. Peaceful. It’s never crowded or loud. You see so much sea life and it’s an amazing place to watch the sunset. There are picnic tables and benches lots of area to explore yet a small enough park where it’s not a crowded place.

Quiet clean and not to crowded. The bridge over the railroad tracks is cool if you want to see a train up close. Big logs to sit on and enjoy the view. There is parking. A bathroom and covered picnic area. The views are very nice. Rock beach with easy water access.

A great little beach for the family. There is a large covered picnic area with picnic tables and fire pits. A good place to watch the ferries from the nearby Steilacoom Dock. You can watch the trains as well, and collect agate rocks at low tide. People walk there dogs there too!!

A little strip of stoney Beach between the railroad tracks and the sound. Fairly scary open grid metal bridge and very steep stairs. Not good for seniors or even non athletic. There is a portapotty by the street. Don't know if the bathrooms on the beach are functional. An 80 year old picnic cover with grills is available. Great views.

I'm only giving it five stars because of The view. I didn't actually go on the beach or in the park. I was on the road the entrance by the park looking at The view of narrows bridge I guess there's a prison cross the way as well. I bought a freezer from somebody that down there and stopped to check out The view. Excellent view of Puget sound gorgeous 👍

Lots of beach to walk along. Not much parking but i don't think many people come here. I really liked it here.
