Wanted to try this place for awhile now and finally got to do so. Service was phenomenal and top-notch. Hence, 3 stars! However, food was otherwise. Started with the Peel & Eat Prawns. It had a foul smell which was a red flag and as soon as I sink my teeth into it, it was off! Not only did it had a foul smell, the prawns were not firm but rather grainy, falls apart and mushy! I moved on to the next while talking and rationalizing myself into perhaps, it’s how the restaurant prepared it or it’s special secret sauce. Nope! Every single prawn had the same characteristics. I had somebody else tried it and agreed. Long story short, I left the restaurant ill. I took it easy and as soon as I got home I tried to put myself to sleep whilst my tummy was having a revolution. I was in agony for at least 6 hours! There is no excuse in serving rotten food! I wonder what is going on in that kitchen!

Walked by and found this place for dinner. Nice atmosphere and good food. Small plates were nice to see but I had the petite filet and it was 4 pieces of meat, I mean I understand petite but come on now.

It’s a good and reliably good place. I visit it frequently. Last time mussels and clams were proper. Steak was good , better than in places around , but not five star either. Giving four stars

We went for my partner's birthday. The food tasted wonderful! We loved the oysters and steaks. The cocktails I ordered didn't taste like alcohol, which is great because I don't like tasting alcohol in cocktails lol. We also really liked how our server gave us just the right amount of attention. He was friendly, helpful in suggesting menu items, and he didn't hover over us or ask us if everything was good every 5 minutes. Overall great experience!

Been to Salt and Iron twice in the last week, first for brunch, then for dinner. While staff was pretty accommodating for a gluten free brunch, that menu has very little for a GF allergy, which was disappointing. Won't be back for brunch. Dinner, on the other hand, was amazing. Crudo had great chili flavor, bone marrow super tasty with a GF roll offered as alternative to baguette. And the braised lamb shank was falling off the bone. Husband thoroughly enjoyed his perfectly cooked waygu steak too. Wait staff friendly and efficient.

I came here for oysters and cocktails. The oysters we got were fresh and delicious. I honestly wanted to order another set. The mignonette was unique, it was some type of slush. As for the cocktails, they were alright. Nothing unique to them. Basic cocktails that match the $12-$13 price.

This is the closest to a 5 I have experienced. Best NY Strip I have ever had! Perfectly cooked and prepared! I was too excited to eat that I forgot to take a picture! Finished it off with an amazing Affogato . Our server, Dana, was awesome and you can sense his passion for the food they prepare. Beware, however.. after tipping, total came out to nearly $80 .. so this place is perfect for special occasions for those of us that make a modest living 😆

Great food. The prawn risotto is very flavorful, and comfortable. I also like their seafood pot, lots of variety of seafood, very fresh and fragrant. The bone marrow is also good. Like their food and service both.

This was the perfect location for my husband's and my 5 year anniversary. The food was phenomenal. The portions were also huge and because we were celebrating, we got a complimentary glass of champagne. We will 100% be coming back. The calamari was a touch salty, but it was still absolutely delicious. My husband said his steak was the best steak he's ever had, and my prawn risotto with pea puree and asparagus was amazing.

I don't give 5 stars across the board very often so in my mind this place is very special. My wife and I visited to celebrate our 30th anniversary and as soon as we walked in the door I knew we were in for a treat. We started with oysters and champagne, then a excellent beet salad and finally skirt steak (cooked perfectly), prawns, asparagus and mashed potatoes. Everything tasted amazing and came out hot. Before we left we planned our next visit and menu choices, it was that good.

Great place for a weekend brunch. Get there early or make reservations if you have a party of 5+ people. Sitting outside can be loud with cars driving by. Excellent service. Staff are super friendly.

Always a great experience. Our visit was on a Friday and St Patrick's Day. Good news, they take reservations online with Open Table. We arrived at 7:15 and our table was ready. And, they had a full house. We opted for two small plates - Spanish Octopus and Mussels and Clams. It so easy to over cook octopus. Not here. The flavor was rich and meat was tender. So good!!! And, the broth for the shellfish was amazing. What a treat! We've visited Salt and Iron for years. The quality remains high. Still, I wish the restaurant wasn't so loud. Hard to complain when everyone is having a good time.

We came in for brunch after Sunday morning workout. It was a bit busy, but fortunately, we only had to wait a few minutes to get seated. The manager is very dog friendly, and we saw him going out to a few dogs passing by and giving them treats. The food was pretty good, and the presentation was spot on, too. We had french toast, breakfast tartine and eggs Benedict, all perfectly cooked and with the service to match. Great place 👍

Great food, not great service from our elderly waiter. He didn't bring my wife the side she ordered and we waited for 30 minutes for the check. Nothing we shared was split for us, not even an extra plate. We're not poor we just don't eat like hogs. Won't be back. Sorry our bill was only $120 for 2 people I guess we don't deserve good service. 4 stars only because the rest of the staff was great.

This was a wonderfully located restaurant, near the water and great view ,a very artistic area with Art materials, and lots of great shopping. The Food was delicious, Sam was a nice water, and I discovered a fantastic new wine! A Red Mountain Cabernet Franc Washington State. This paired fantastic with the petite filet and asparagus. Keep in mind that the petite filet, is extremely petite and you might be surprised just how small it is! However the meat was cooked just right it only just made me feel like I'm wanted more. Or wish there was more meet there for the money.

Really like this place, and I'd go back. Loved my biscuits and gravy with the spicy corn gravy. Better than any B&G I can get back home. Great place to meet up with friends. One of group had the avocado tomato eggs benny and it looked amazing. Wanted a bite of that too. Next time!

The food! 🤤 Best steak I've had and I'm super picky about steak. Can't wait to go back and try more menu items! Friendly/good service. Clean, fresh atmosphere. Nice full bar.

We had a lovely Saturday evening dinner here. We started with oysters and seafood chowder. Oysters were fresh and the mignonette sauce was great. We ordered the large seafood chowder, it was delicious but the portion was a bit small for a large. Next up for our entrees we had a prawn risotto(we asked for no sausage in the risotto), Prawn salad, and bone in pork chop with fingerling potatoes. Everything was delicious, and service was great!(We have 2 small children, and one of them spilled a drink, but the staff kindly helped clean up the mess). There are children’s menu’s and crayons. There was quite a lot of people waiting at the front door, so we were glad we made an online reservation before we arrived. Prices are a little on the expensive side, but it’s a excellent place for upscale dining and/or a date night.

Birthday dinner for my mom on a sidewalk table was perfect. We loved the food, drinks and our waiter. Thanks for making her day special. (Elote prawns and risotto, Lavender Days cocktail)

Came here for a Saturday brunch and we expected so much more after looking the great reviews but the food was just bland. The service was prompt and even the presentation was good but it just didn’t taste worth the price. The food looked great on the plate but was absolutely tasteless. Not sure if we came in on an off day or if they were too busy but I don’t intend to visit again. We ordered the Chicken fried chicken - bland unseasoned chicken with grits and the only taste coming through from the grits was corn(being naturally sweet), the Burger - Bun was hard and the bacon strips were too hard even the fries didn’t have salt, the Eggs Benedict - tasteless again, cheese jalapeño biscuits - which were probably the only edible thing we ordered but still didn’t want to finish it because it was just hard to bite through. All in all we ended up with a lot of boxed food because none of us had the heart to waste it but ended up trashing at home anyway :( The 2 stars are just for presentation and service.

Food was delicious. However, asked for slight pink for the burger and got well done so it was a bit dry but the bacon Benedict was so good and French toast melts in your mouth. Cinnamon roll is huge. Definitely to share. Service was great and atmosphere is so nice and cozy. Great for brunch

We stopped in for an early week day dinner. Sam, our server was great. We loved the Spanish octopus! The drinks and food were well prepared and uniquely delicious. We'll definitely be back to try more of the menu.
