At first I went in I wasn't dressed very nice but I wanted to buy a watch and nobody would even give me the time of day and then I got a lady who actually gave me some credit on my watch made me a very good deal I was pretty happy with it. I was pretty irritated they because they wouldn't pay me attention cuz I wasn't dressed as well as everybody else was It 😐was just lazy that day and i didn't dressed not putting on shoes shoes I more slippers and they were all the way on the other side of the jewelry store the only thing that brought her my way was somebody was trying to steal something and she was trying to watch it so she was talking to me like she wasn't watching what was going on take it for what it's worth I did get a good deal and then you'll have to evacuate the Tacoma Mall because there was gun shots fired

Walked all over the 2nd story looking for a wallet, couldn't find even a small display, I'm ok if they don't carry but there were 0 employees to ask on the whole floor except the one check out girl who had a large line of waiting customers. The one employee which I found on the 3rd floor said it might be by the registers or mens suits which it wasn't

I used to shop at JCPENNEY years ago and liked it very much. For whatever reason I started shopping other stores. I just recently re-discovered it, and I have started shopping there again. The merchandise is good and reasonably priced if you can get it on sale. What was a little disappointing was it was difficult to find assistance when I had questions. When I did find an associate, they were very helpful. That said, I will probably continue to shop there for clothes and shoes.

Store is nice and presentable well taken care of. I wanted Levi jeans, but I couldn't find a single pair that I would wear. I guess they're designed for kids and teenagers not for adult men.

I got what I was looking for which were two pair of boots. Great sale price plus more discount with the app. Jaseline was awesome. She told us about the app discount which I got a heck more off. Thank you girl!!! Jaseline worked at register by the shoes.

My favorite store. Great prices and sales. Merchandise is made well. I've been shopping here for 22 years. And in that 22 years I've only had to return two things. A broken purse strap that I had for only a month, and I ordered a sheet set that I didn't like the material and sent back. I even have two recliners and two end tables from here. I hope they never close this store. I know in this economy that some stores had to close. I ask for JC Penny's gift cards for my birthday and Christmas every year. I even get my hair cut at the Penny's salon. I highly recommend shopping here.

After going to two other JCPenney, we went here and we’re definitely glad we did. The amount of variety this store has is a plus. Also, big shoutout to Ms Sandra. We had the pleasure of being helped by her at customer service, and she is truly the star of the show. Keep up the excellent work. We’ll definitely be back again.

This Tacoma Mall store is so completely understaffed, people walk out without what they came to buy. The staff is polite & personable, but oh so slow. Finding department specific people is almost non-existent. My wife has me practice patience while shopping. It is hard for me to keep my mouth shut, but I try. It's not the employee's fault. If you have patience, do your thing. With holidays coming soon, good luck to JCPenney.

Finally found a very specific color/pattern pair of leggings. The new clothes, in the other departments, are just beautiful!

Didn't have what I was looking for and no staff around to ask questions. Good luck finding a check out place. Sorry Penny's. You failed me this time. I ordered online but it didn't fit, so I returned them to the store and was charged $5 each on a $20 purchase. Sad, sad,sad.

Elevators are extremely slow but I was able to buy a super soft blanket for even cheaper than the sales price. Great service! 👍

The store is clean and well stocked with the products and sizes I need and like. I'm not a fan of the new door situation, but I understand it's to deter theft. I wish they would price match their own website so I wouldn't have to purchase online to get a discount and then pick up in store.

Should be a -5 star. I had a salon appointment at 2:00 and waited 30 minutes before I left. The girl was a NO SHOW. There was no traffic so I contribute this to drugs or personal problems. Don't waste your time here.

They never have good design clothing for plus size women. Very disappointing. Had to but a shirt from big and tall mens section to so i can wear it as a long top.

Feeling annoyed when picking up online order. The counter that the email notification directed me to was not where I needed to go. I wasted 15min for the clerk to tell me. Update: I shopped at my local store making things simpler. However I wanted to try some things on instead of having to return things later. There were no changing rooms open. What the heck! The cashier I had was pleasant making the store experience much better.

I ordered magenta leggings to go under my costume for Halloween. They were ready early and I was able to pick them up no problem. Thank you for the order and pick up service.

Ok I find pretty good deals I use my Penny's rewards and coupons. 4 women walked out the door with Juicy outfits still on the hangers. The cashier just watched and could not do anything. As 3 of us stand in line to pay for merchandise...WOW just WOW

Unfriendly staff biding their time til shift is over. Lucky if you can find a check out register open or even a fitting room nearby. Wow. Penneys has really gone down hill. So sad.

Jc Penney has always for me been a great store and I hope they never close it. I try to shop here as much as I can and no matter what side of the Tacoma Mall I'm at I always circle back to Penney's for great prices on a massive selection of clothing even for Men...

Bill in the Shoe Dept is always very helpful and friendly. The cashiers in other departments are slow, and seem disinterested in Customer Service.

Speak of stupid racial profiling from New staff members who seem to have no training on policies and procedures. Following you in the dressing room. Knocking on the door asking if you are done. I blame management for lack of proper training yet I blame the two young ladies. Seems young in high school but to follow a me am african american be that concerned on my case and yet very not on the other races made me question what are they being taught in orientation. This happend today I just exchanged what I had and left did feel the need to purchase anymore. But it's unnecessary to not only have one but two staff members breathing on your neck. This experience was hurtful .

They helped me fix the major issues with my wedding ring. If it wasn't for the compassion and assistance of all the women in the jewelry department. Asurion is trash. The need to cut ties. Same company that does at&t claims. The human jeweler fixing and machine mass produced ring results in my ring being ruined buy adding a metal nipple. Then second repair removed the nip and let a serious burr. Ring was heated so the rhodium was faded, turning my black diamonds into grey ones. Totally comprised the integrity of the ring. Just a horror story over my wedding ring. My wife isn't happy. Send gifts cards!

Great store with amazing deals. Clearance sales are amazing. How about a J. Ferrar tie for $5? Or a Stafford sport coat for $30? I once bought a couple jackets, slacks, and maybe a tie and my receipt said I saved over $300! Great store

Nice sale prices, especially if you sign up for their card whi h I did not choose to do. Most dressing rooms are closed but at least 1 was open, so that was a win.

Terrible selection, it's like a ghost town. And the store is very run down and dirty. Do not recommend going here.
