Dr. Gee and staff at Fairview could care less about my father and health. Has a broken hip for 9 month's now and my father has been in a wheelchair. Told Dr he has something broken and could care less. Had to go to ohsu and they diagnosed the broken hip in 2 days after dealing with the VA for month's prior. How dare them call themselves doctors. What an insult to the amazing and caring doctors out there. Seems to me that dr. Gee needs to retire😞

Many of my husbands symptoms were written off as something less serious until he became critical and went to the ER. After many months in the hospital including contracting Covid-19 in the hospital and being in isolation for a month which put off critical tests, he finally came home under hospice care to die.Not necessarily a review of this particular clinic. Just the VA system as a whole.

Misogynistic abusive staff and unprofessional security. If you're assigned to this clinic, RUN. From top administrator on down, appalling treatment of female veterans. Nobody cares either and they all just have each other's backs. Also have a man impersonating a doctor who threatened to blackball me when I complained about being blackballed. Sickening. This place is toxic from top down. There is a reason they don't have patients. They still continue to harass me 3 months after I requested a transfer. RUN. Dr. Lederer sat there and let Jesse papic abuse me and did nothing.

Not usually such an incompetent place but recently (June and August 2018) they have been completely incapable of accomplishing the simplest of tasks. I have to have immunization records for my college and can't seem to get what I need for them. I begged them to give me an appointment because my records I need weren't as simple as one piece of paper that I could easily retrieve. Of course I got a no and now I have been to the clinic 4 times to get the records I need and spent over an hour each time because I have to re-explain what I need every time. I still don't have my records and I'm in a healthcare program and can't start without them. Not to mention I brought in a form that I needed and begged the to just take a copy of it and they insisted they would not lose my form and they needed it (which is rediculous). My form is now either lost or the front desk is just not able to talk to the right people to get it back. No one has even yet to call me. I have a decent experiences with them before but I think they have lost what made them decent before.

I've been going for years to the fairview clinic and they could care less about anything the veteran has to say, most are there riding the riterment train for example, I told my primary care doctor I was in a major car accident that almost killed me and I wanted to be referr to ohsu for the concussion clinic. She told me in her professional opinion I didn't need it, I could go for days how my eyes don't dilate correctly and I have a horrible memory on top of headaches etc etc. I had my chiropractor of all people explain how messed up I am and she did a referral for me to ohsu. There could care less who you are or how bad your injured, to them your just a number. Update, I asked Dr. Sverdrop (I don't know the spelling) why she wouldn't write the proper notes and why she was trying to diagnose me wrongly by lying on my blood test. She responded with I am the doctor you don't give me medical diagnoses I do that and hung up on me...make your own opinion.

At Fairview VA clinic I was assigned a new PCP by the name of Lisa Wamsley. This quack physician wanted to prescribe blood pressure medicine to me based on my skin color. "This medicine works well in Black people", were her exact words. I opted out of this 'Healthcare by Ethnicity or Race'. When I refused to take the meds, she became angry. Then I requested a transfer to another clinic and her team initiated a transfer to a clinic that wasn't accepting new patients. I waited 7 months before contacting the Patient Advocate, only to find out that this transfer was never going to happen. The Patient Advocate helped me initiate another transfer, this time to a clinic that was accepting new patients and was not closed. Lisa Wamsley and other staff that I came in contact with at the Fairview clinic were racist, unprofessional and rude. As another reviewer has written... RUN if you are assigned to the VA clinic in Fairview. It's the worse experience I've ever had with a VA clinic or VA hospital.

I usually have a decent experience with this location, however this occurrence is extremely frustrating. After injuring my back they send me home with muscle relaxers and some stretching exercises. With the extreme pain wouldn't you want imaging to see what kind of damage is present? Well, after contacting the patient advocate, I finally got an MRI 3 months after the injury. . this showed 2 bulges discs. Now despite further care through phys. Therapy and chiropractic clinic, here I am with another serious injury and possibly herniated disc now. Now I'm out of work and have been trying to get a work release letter, short term disability documents and an APPOINTMENT. By the way if you use myHealthevet, they can and WILL use the full 72 hours allotted to them to respond no matter how much pain you are in. You would have better luck getting a hold of any celebrity over a physician here. Update, next phone appt is in 22 days... They need more funding for clinics and staff if they are serious about providing quality care to veterans.

The staff and security personnel at this location are always pleasant. I’ve only been seen at the clinic since COVID started, so it’s not usually very busy inside. Labs and in-person appointments are quick. All of my doctors/specialists have been great so far.
