Incredible. I’ve eaten at a lot of 2 and 3 Michelin Star restaurants and 84 Yesler is better than most of them. This restaurant is the top of their game. Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. Food was super tasty and prices were reasonable for this level of quality. The wine pairing matched perfectly with each dish.

Wonderful and friendly staff. Great atmosphere. We did the tasting menu and all 3 of us were disappointed. Their first two courses were good the rest of the course was fishy and seem like bad quality, on these courses it was the lobster with caviar pasta and the fish dish. Very strong fishy aroma and tastes unpleasant. The presentation was gorgeous. FYI, Margarita is pretty bad too, we had to send it back. For a $900 dinner, I expect better quality. Don't think we will return.

Absolutely delightful the second I walked through the doors. I was greeted by a friendly host who sat me before the rest of my party arrived. I was immediately offered water and when I asked about the best recommendation for a cocktail, I was given a detailed response. Every member of my party arrived escorted by the host individually and the server provided equal attention. I was astounded by the customer service and level of detail. The minute our plates were empty, the plates were gone. When my water got to half, another server was nearby to fill the glass. We received a detailed account of each dish, including each dessert. The food was beyond expectations- plated beautifully and enjoyable across the palate. This was definitely a special occasion dinner for us.. My friends and I treated ourselves to a 3 course meal, so we each spent over $100, but some would find that a drink and entree is enough. Highly recommend this place for the food, the ambiance, the experience and the service.

Such a wonderful place! The service really stands out. We were greeted by name by a host who was standing outside the restaurant waiting for us. We were immediately seated and attended to. The waiter knew the menu well and gladly gave expert insight into what to order. Lastly, the quality of the food and cocktails was outstanding, in addition to a beautiful presentation. This place takes fine dining to a whole new level. I can’t wait to come back when I visit Seattle again!

One of the best restaurants I’ve found in Seattle. The chef & owner came to our table to say thank you & celebrate my partner’s birthday, which meant so much! I will never forget the freaking dessert on the 6 course meal! Cherry blossom sorbet….. with rhubarb. WELL DONE! Everything was incredibly creative & the service was on it! Thank you for the best birthday evening celebrating my love.

Such an amazing experience! We loved - the open kitchen, that there aren't many tables and they are spaced out, how cool the bathroom is, the service, the food, the drinks. We didn't love - that we were done with our meal 😂 84 Yesler really know how to make eating an enjoyable experience. Awesome food with a menu that actually feels seasonal. We'll definitely come back.

A hidden gem of a restaurant! Where food meets artistry. Every dish was a unique and sophisticated masterpiece of flavors. The staff is very professional and friendly as well. This place is not to be missed even if you are staying in Seattle for one night. Pumpkin Tortelli, Mushroom Agnolotti, Apple Cake, and cocktails crushed our expectations.

This is an outstanding restaurant. Simply put, if you're looking for an exquisite dining experience with top notch service and modern unique food in Seattle, you have to check out 84 Yesler! My wife and I were blown away by the food, especially their homemade pastas. Each bite of tomato gnocchi was like a bite of tomato soup. We had several dietary restrictions but the kitchen was happy to adjust menu items accordingly. In all of our years working in restaurants we have never seen such a calm and professional kitchen. The chef stood silently as she observed each dish being made. There was zero chaos and everything came out so beautiful! We felt like judges on Top Chef. We highly recommend eating here, and if possible, ask for Justin to be your server. His service is impeccable.

Wow. We were in the area and were looking for a highly rated restaurant and 84 Yesler did not disappoint. Once we were inside, I felt lucky we were able to be seated as we did not have reservations. We were underdressed for the ambiance. The drinks and food were delicious. The service was Japanese-like as promised and impeccable. The steak was particularly delicious.

I remember when chef:owner Tamara Murphy of Terra Plata dined at 84 Yesler and commented that it was one of the best meals she had in Seattle...I couldn't wait to go. We were so excited to try this spot and WOW, are we ever glad we did. This spot is absolutely amazing - A++ team, and a new Executive Chef, Christina Siegl, who hails from several Michelin-star restaurants from around the globe. AB-SO-LUTELY AMAZING! Add it to your list and be WOWED like we were with food, service and ambience. WOW.

Attention to detail would be the resounding theme at this exquisite establishment. From the very thin glasses that give a delicate feel to every sip to the relaxed and warm atmosphere that invites you to fall into a culinary experience of a lifetime. I must say that I've been to many "fine dining" establishments across the US and none have held up to the positively perfect experience we had here tonight. Was it slightly more expensive than you'd find elsewhere, perhaps a bit. However the food was simple, elegant, and struck the perfect balance between being practical and an eyeful before you've even had the first taste. An amazing mixture of textures, colors, and ingredients that perfectly fit together. I started with the beef tartare, king salmon for the main and the chocolate mousse for dessert. The bartender mixed up one of the best Pisco Sours I've had while dining out. I simply can't recommend this place enough... We weren't quite hungry enough to give their 4 or 6 course taster selection a try this time but next time we are in Seattle we will certainly plan on giving it a go. We were told that their non coursed menu changes a bit more often than seasonally so figure between 4-6 times a year. And their four or six course taster menu changes monthly from what we were told. So it sounds like there's always opportunity to come back for new experiences. Justin was our server and he was so knowledgeable about the dishes with expertly answered questions. He also found the perfect balance between being attentive and helpful while not making us feel like he was hovering or trying to rush us through the meal. I feel like that kind of service is so hard to provide and he just nailed it. When we come back we'll hopefully be able to ask for him again! Please do yourself a favor and spend an evening here, you won't regret it or soon forget it.

SuperB. We dined at 84 Yesler during our visit to Seattle. This restaurant is on top of its game. Excellent ( I mean EXCELLENT ) food, service, atmosphere, decor, all at highest level. (even the bathroom was laboratory clean..!). Quiet impressive that super talented young chef and her team serving [ very successfully] Japanese & Med influenced creations. All with beautiful presentation, very tasty and complimenting flavors, Full bar and good wine selection is available, prices are decent for what it is. All of our selections were excellent, that pasta & lobster dish was out of this world. Also the Apple - cake... heavenly. I have been in many Michelin Star restaurants weren't as this good. Congrats to you all and bravo. Next visit to Seattle, we will come again.

The food here is absolutely amazing. Unique food with exceptional presentation and flavors. Too bad our experience was so horribly tainted by the extremely rude, condescending female Somalia on staff. After not finishing one of the wine pairings my girlfriend was asked by a server if she liked it since she had not drank much. She said it was not to her liking but she was fine to wait for the next course. The Somalia then came by and very rudely poured her a different glass and gave her a long lecture about how the wine would’ve tasted better if she would’ve just given it a chance. Then every following course she would come hover over her until she tried it. My girlfriend resorted to saying she liked it just so the lady would back away from our table. The Somalia would then come back and told her WHY She should like it rather than telling her ABOUT the wine. As if, to make my girlfriend uncomfortable if she didn’t drink it all. She would go on and on, after we said thank you(trying again to dismiss her) to tell us how the wine complements the food and “if she knew that then she should’ve enjoyed it the way the Somalia chose it”. I’ve never been to an establishment and had to watch my girlfriend be so insulted in my life by a Somalia, in an effort to just enjoy our evening! Other than that, beautiful kitchen, amazing staff And a present owner who is committed to his establishment. I can’t say I would ever return, even with the exceptional food, as long as the incredibly rude staff member is employed here. My girlfriend ended up leaving the restaurant in tears. However they did stop me as I tried to follow her out and asked to comp the wine pairing. Which I thought was very professional and shows they care about the customer being happy. I would’ve preferred the whole experience to be simply enjoyable and less emotionally charged(by a staff member). I felt extremely uncomfortable and just wanted to spend a nice evening out with my girlfriend. We hope that others have a different experience and can enjoy the amazing this place has to offer as well as an amazing atmosphere. And we wish the owner all the best. I still all in all think this place deserves five stars. I do have to add I LOVED seeing a female head chef in the kitchen. She was killing it💪🏽

Date night done right! Me and my partner were seated at a cozy corner table with beautiful Japanese inspired decor. Our waitress was delightful. The tableware and glassware was gorgeous. All the food we ordered looked beautiful and tasted even better. There is a reason this place has such a high rating. Definitely try the Churros and Japanese bread and also everything else 😋

Service was great and the food was tasty and interesting, but I It wasn’t anything that truly lived up to other fine dining experiences I’ve had from a flavor perspective. We had the tasting g menu, and wished we had stuck to the a la carte options instead based on other reviews and the trends of the evening. Still some hidden gems in the tasting menu, but if it is your first time it may be best to stick with the staples that made it into the permanent menu

One of my most favorite restaurants in Seattle. Influenced by Japanese and Italian cuisines - do not think sushi or red sauced pasta! This is clean, fresh and interesting flavor combinations. Where you can taste all the flavors of each element of the dish, all prepared and served with care. It’s where you go to appreciate the creativity of the kitchen, and you’re not just eating for sustenance. #eatwithlockemichelle

The space is beautiful and the service is top notch. Loved the plating, the wine pairing, the chat with the wine manager about the dish and the wine. Highly recommended.

Really awesome food - I am blown away by the quality and flavors of all the dishes. My friend especially loved the foie gras dish and the balance of the dish. While the food was reasonably priced, we were surprised by how expensive the restaurant charged for their wine, given the retail price of the wine. Overall still a positive experience.

Priced highly and like many "higher end" places in Seattle, the food didn't meet the price point. Quality was not bad by any means, but $150 for just 6 courses, not of the dishes really wowed me. Came here a couple of months ago, and none of the dishes were particularly memorable. I've had better wine pairings for better prices at other Seattle places. Eden Hill comes to mind. Overall relatively disappointing for the price point. Maybe for $80-90 6 course would have felt more aligned. Great service and ambiance though. The waiter was very attentive and noticed I wasn't a fan of salmon when he was explaining the menu, and kindly notified the kitchen to substitute with a scallop dish instead. I really appreciated that.

The grilled romain salad knocked my socks off. I believe it is the grilling and the combined flavor of Parmesan, it tastes so umami that I almost thought it is seaweed. It was grilled to perfection (unlike lots of other restaurant who tend to burn the ingredient). Not to mention that the chef made it on the fly because I asked to not use the bacon vinaigrette. The flavor profile is so well balanced too. The smokers octopus is good too. I love that smoky flavor, but the problem is that the octopus is too salty. Last is the lobster pasta. Their pasta is fresh made. Lobster is poached to perfection - soft and juicy. The sauce on the other hand is not impressive. I guess it is the brown butter which is so overwhelming that I cannot taste the lobster broth. It just tastes a bit disconnected. I would prefer more brininess from the lobster and less butter. All in all, this restaurant definitely has lots of potentials.

Greeted by the owner and shook our hands to thank us for coming to 84. What a fantastic way to start my first time here. Atmosphere - As soon as you walk you are experiencing a low light intimate setting with an open kitchen view, which we were seated next to. Everyone was so friendly and we were able to talk to the pastry chef at the end of the night but unfortunately we did not have the capacity to try his treats but we will be back soon! Beverages: Foie Fashion - a savory style old fashion that coats your mouth and prepares you for your dinner. If you order the sea scallops use the cotton candy with your beverage.. takes it to a differently tasting experience. 72 Clocks Sake - takes your dinner to another level and doesn’t ruin your taste buds for what 84 has to offer. Food: Oyster - their gin cocktail sauce/mignonette with a squeeze of lemon juice all together will make any oyster dance in your mouth. Sear Foie Gras - If you have never tried or scared to… DON’T they do not disappoint. Perfectly seasoned, rich, buttery, nutty and the kicker at the end of the sweetness from the lingonberry and to switch it up with their foie cotton candy on top. Top everything together and use your hands to eat a fork will not help you here! Seared Scallop - What can I say! The sear on the scallop was perfect with a delicious brown butter cauliflower and could not stop eating the mushrooms. Make the perfect bite and enjoy this will make you want to lick the plate clean. We really immersed in the atmosphere and did not capture any dishes as they were all so perfectly prepared and presented to us. Thank you 84 Yesler for making this one of the best dining experiences I’ve had as a Seattle Native.

Excellent spot for creative cocktails and delicious food. The tuna tartare and octopus starters were excellent! The staff here are exceptional with their service and hyper attentive. The staff work together like a well orchestrated team and look out for each other at each of their tables. Gratuity is automatically included.

Truly extraordinary. World class is not an exaggeration. Precise yet friendly service. Refined yet approachable food. The laminated herb pappardelle with lemon and crab (drool), the wine pairing (perfection), the cocktail (perfect glass and blend), the server (professional and lovely), the front of house (classy), the chef (so talented!), the decor (strong attention to detail) How is this not on the top of everyone’s list? Truly fabulous. Highly recommend. One of the best meals I’ve had in a decade, and I really enjoy eating.
