I’ve been with my therapist Laura for about a year. I absolutely appreciate her to the max. She is very kind, compassionate and dedicated. Ever since out first session I knew that she was the right fit for me. I was able to be open and honest and not feel judged at all. I appreciate the way she puts things into perspective for me. I love my doctors through LifeStance and my first referral went smoothly. When it came time to renew my referral. I contacted my insurance company, they gave me the referral letter. I then called the main number for LifeStance and they provided me with an email to send the referral to since there is no way for me to upload it to my patient portal. I never heard back after I sent the email so I called and it was confirmed that they have received the referral. For the last 3 months my therapist has been telling me my referral is outdated and I need a new one. Everytime she tells me this I call LifeStance and they tell me I am good to go: my last therapy session was cancelled because my therapist is being told my referral was never updated. However this appointment was not cancelled until I was in the video chat. Life please get your act together. If I need to resubmit the referral somewhere else let me know and I will do that. I’ve been saying this for months. This isn’t ok.

Sarah was one of the most helpful therapists I ever had. Not only did she teach me how to use DBT by myself but she was the one who suggested I seek a therapist who’s fluent in my primary language, American Sign Language. Due to LifeStance’s lack of ASL-fluent therapists I had to leave.

I was able to make an appt. Within a week. My therapist immediately helped me create a plan to follow and really listened. Lifestance is a great choice for improving emotional strength.
