One of the best weekend getaway near by Hyderabad. It’s just 2 - 3 hours if you go on bike. Escaping from daily routine and having attached with the nature here is most beautiful thing at Rachakonda Fort. People here at are also very friendly. Don’t give money to everyone. Just take a ticket and explore the fort.

Good to visit for weekend and long drive. Rocks and a water pond. Carry cap and water bottle and do not litter…

Fun place to go with dogs. The views are amazing. There's not much of a fort left, just some ruins, but definitely a fun place to go for a short hike. One way is around 2km of walk. We went with our 2 dogs and they had a great time running around off leash, climbing rocks, and even had a dip in a pond at the end.

A Fort which is close to nature and one will fall in love with nature when they visit this fort. There is no entry fee but there are so many beggers asking directly what they want so avoid giving any money. Please do carry water and food with you as nothing is available inside the fort. Must watch and should be on your checklist.

Rachakonda Fort is a historical gem worth visiting. It's a bit off the beaten path, but the drive is scenic. The fort itself, while partially in ruins, offers a glimpse into the past with its well-preserved architecture. The panoramic views from the top are breathtaking, making it a great spot for photography. The lack of amenities or guides on-site might be a drawback, but the serenity and historical significance of the place more than compensate for it. It's a must-visit for history enthusiasts and those who appreciate ancient architecture.

It's almost an abandoned fort... No maintenance... Very little structures remaining... The view from the top is good... Take about 1.5hrs to 2 hrs... Carry sufficient water and food... You will find nothing there...
