If there is one place in Hyderabad that I will recommend you to visit, then it's going to be none other than the Hussain Sagar Lake (Tank Bund). Spread across a vast area, this waterbody is a treat to the eyes. Hyderabad is not blessed with a natural sea, but this lake compensates for that deficiency. There is a giant Buddha Statue situated in the middle of the lake and you can book a boat that will take you there in minutes. Also visit the Lumbini Park, located outside the gates of Hussain Sagar. Lumbini Park is famous for the laser sound shows, held every evening. Enjoy. ๐Ÿ˜Š

I would recommend visiting this place when sun is low, because the lighting at the statue of budhha is mesmerizing... And when sun totally sets down then the street lightining view is wonderful . You can do boating or can take boat to go near the statue which is in the centre of the lake..

The Hussain sagar lake is inbetween the cities of Hyderabad with Secunderabad. It contains the popular Gautam Buddha statue in the middle and is one of Hyderabad's most popular tourist attractions. This statue is said to be one of the world's largest statues. Hussain Sagar offers a spectacular view of Lake, a view of the city, which draws many visitors to the area. It's most impressive at night when the statue's lights are turned on. Tankbund road on hussain sagar lake is good for morning walkers, senior citizens to spend time in the morning hours. In the evening families visit the tank bund with their kids and spend time in the lawns of the tank bund , have snacks and enjoy the view of Hussain Sagar lake. Tank Bund has been a major tourist destination as well as a popular local attraction after recent beautification by the Government. This is a popular spot for people who want to unwind.

One of the best tourist place in Hyderabad(Telangana). It is present at a walk-in distance of half km right from the Birla mandir. Hussain sagar lake has Buddha's statue exactly in the center of the lake. This 72 feet and 450 tons of statue is built by Hazrat Hussain Shah Wali in a single stone. There is no entry fee but you need to pay only for boating alone. Mechanised Boatย Fare: Rs.55 per Adult & Rs.35 per Child Jet Skiย ( No Alighting at Buddha Statue ): Rs 250 for 1 person & Rs.300 for 2 persons Rajahamsaย ( No Alighting at Buddha Statue ): Rs 100 per person (minimum 5 persons) Para Sailing: Rs.400 per person. Best time to visit this place: from Sunset and till 8 pm. You can hangout with your friends and family. Many options available for eating as well. Peaceful Place โ˜ฎ๏ธ๐ŸŒธ Have you ever watched the sunset behind the Buddha Statue? Nope? Oh god, you're missing out. Find yourself during the sunset hour at Tank Bund and take long walks as you watch the sun wash the sky in orange. Not a walking person? No problem, just stand and stare!

Nice Lake to visit once in Hyderabad. The surroundings of this place are so beautiful. Requesting people , the visitors and tourists to keep this place clean and hygienic always. A drive to this lake is very soothing during late nights. During the day and night time both everything looks beautiful including the surroundings.

Hussain Sagar is a heart shaped lake in Hyderabad, Telangana,India. It was built by Ibrahim Quli Qutb Shah.ย It is a large manmade lake of Hyderabad and was constructed on a small tributary of the Musi River. Boating and water sports are a regular feature in the Hussain Sagar Lake. A large monolithic statue of Gautama Buddha stands in the middle of the lake which attracts tourists. One can go and click photos with the statue by boat from Lumbini Park. The Hussain Sagar looks beautiful at night..but it is also the polluted lake in Hyderabad.. the water smells so bad that you can't even stand there for more than 5 mins.

TankBund is a place where you can enjoy the view if only you visit early in the morning. With years there has been a decent improvement in cleanliness to seating arrangement. The water is serene but not completely clean. Hyderabad needs a lot of improvement in regard to cleanliness and throwing of waste. People throw here and there even after seeing the trash buckets. There should be a law passed for this specifically - maybe there can be a change in regard to cleanliness. Otherwise you can enjoy the fresh air and have a calm family time.

Exploring Hussain Sagar Lake is incomplete without indulging in a boat ride. Several options, including motorboats and pedal boats, are available for visitors to explore the lake's tranquil waters. A boat ride offers a unique perspective of the surrounding landscapes and allows you to soak in the serene ambiance of the lake. Adjacent to Hussain Sagar Lake, Lumbini Park and Necklace Road provide additional recreational opportunities for visitors.

Hyderabad is the best combination of heritage and modern places situated in the same city.It is very safe city and people here are very supportive and living peaceful life. It is made in 1563 by Ibrahim Quli Qutub Shah. This amazing lake is spread in heart shape and is the centre of Hyderabad. Hussain sagar is fed by Musi river. There is a laser fountain show available at the entrance of lake which is one of its kind in India where they are explaining the change in recent culture from old one and the unique values city has! Then boats are there to travel across the lake. It has also the Indian flag at the corner with mesmerising lighting. It looks amazing. Monolithic statue of Buddha is the best thing about the lake and everybody is there to visit the same in their mind. It was transported from Raigiri on 192 wheels over a distance of 60 km on 1st of December, 1992. Dimensions of statue is unbelievable. It is of 17 meters height and has a weight of 320 tonnes. Nowadays, it is promoted by Telangana tourism. I would suggest you to visit it once. I have attached photos for your reference.

A beautiful place to visit at night and boating is a must do stuff. The view is so nice. But don't expect that you can sit nearby the lake and enjoy it while putting your legs in it. Boundaries are all over the lake and also the water is kinda black, not clean enough but it doesn't stink at all. A must visit place

Hussain Sagar is a large artificial lake situated in the heart of Hyderabad, India. Built during the reign of Ibrahim Quli Qutub Shah in 1563, it is one of the largest man-made lakes in Asia. The lake is known for its iconic Buddha statue located on an island called Gibraltar Rock. Boating, leisurely walks along the promenade, and the picturesque Necklace Road that surrounds the lake make Hussain Sagar a popular recreational spot in Hyderabad.

Hussain Sagar was built across a tributary of the Musi river in 1563 by Ibrahim Quli Qutb Shah. The lake was named after Hussain Shah Wali, who was the Master of Architecture in the Kingdom. It is an artificial lake that holds water perennially fed by canals from Musi river. Hussain Sagar was the main source of water supply to Hyderabad before Himayat Sagar and Osman Sagar were built on river Musi. The Buddha statue was chiseled out of a white granite rock, weighing 450 tons. It was carved by 200 sculptors for two years. The statue was transported to Hyderabad in November 1988. After initial problems, the statue was erected on 12 April 1992 on a red lotus pedestal.

Hussain Sagar was built across a tributary of theย Musi riverย in 1563 byย Ibrahim Quli Qutb Shah. The lake was named afterย Hussain Shah Wali, who was the Master of Architecture in the Kingdom. It is an artificial lake that holds water perennially fed by canals from Musi river. Hussain Sagar was the main source of water supply to Hyderabad beforeย Himayat Sagarย andย Osman Sagarย were built on river Musi.

Beautiful place for an evening out. Nice bars and eating places overlooking the lake. Paid parking spots are available at intervals around the lake. There is a Boat ride to the Buddha statue but the boat doesnโ€™t look inviting. Obviously a great place for a morning or evening walk. Of course have to mention the great work the civic administration is doing for the upkeep.

Very good natural lake. Of late the are lots of activities which are shrinking the capacity of the lake. It's frequently covered with hyacinth. Earlier there used to be fish in the lake, now it's no longer viable for fish to survive in this lake.

Hussain Sagar Lake spreads across an area of 5.7 kilometers and is situated across a tributary of River Musi. The lake separates Hyderabad from Secunderabad. A gigantic statue of Lord Buddha sits in the middle of the lake. This exquisitely carved, monolithic statue stands on Gibraltar Rock and was erected in 1992. The maximum depth of this man-made lake is 32 feet.

Hussain sagar ...located near khairatabad...is an important landmark and tourist attraction...it is sorrounded by necklace road and a bunch of parks...this place has the famous LOVE HYDERABAD sculpture and buddha statue... THE LUMBINI PARK ENTRANCE The entrance to this place is from lumbini park....which is a highly visited place by families and young masses...people usually come to hussain sagar for boat ride...the boats will take you to the buddha statue... THE BOAT RIDES There are many types of rides and prices vary...if you prefer the public ride (40 ppl at once) then it comes in 55 rupees...while the private boat (4 ppl at once) might cost u around 300 rupees...there are also luxury boats totally dedicated to parties...they have light and sound facility along with LED and sitting arrangement...they are mostly preferred by people who are organising family gathering or a functioj over the boat... The belt of hussain sagar is called necklace road...the place is usually calmer...but water pollution could be an issue... THE LASER SHOW Along with the boat ride at hussain sagar...people also prefer laser show of lumbini park...or snow world..jalavihar water park etc....also there is a mall nearby (prasads imax) where u can shop or watch movies... WHERE TO GET FOOD NEARBY??? One outlet of Paradise biriyani is nearer to hussain sagar...so if you are with family and visiting at noon hours...you can consider visiting paradise for lunch...i loved their paneer tikka masala a lot..they specialize on nonvegeterian cuisines though...

Great place to hangout...U can have both speedboat and ferry rides. Speedboat costs Rs.300 for 4 persons. while ferry ride costs 150 for two. There are shops where u will get affordable eatables.. There are one or two rides also. At night u can enjoy laser show While u can have a walk around the walk with the soothing breeze.

Hussain Sagar, situated in the heart of Hyderabad, stands as a symbol of the city's charm, blending history, serenity, and recreational allure into one captivating destination. The centerpiece of this iconic water body is the colossal Buddha statue, standing tall on the tranquil waters, offering a serene ambiance and a picturesque view. The charm amplifies during sunset and night when the statue gets illuminated, casting a mesmerizing reflection on the lakeโ€”a sight worth experiencing. The lake provides various recreational activities such as boating, allowing visitors to leisurely explore its vast expanse and take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The nearby Lumbini Park serves as an ideal spot for families, offering entertainment options like musical fountains and a children's play area. However, while Hussain Sagar holds historical significance and offers a scenic view, concerns about water pollution and littering can detract from the overall experience. Efforts towards maintaining cleanliness and preserving the ecosystem of the lake are vital for sustaining its beauty and appeal. Moreover, the traffic and congestion around the area, especially during peak hours, might deter from the peacefulness one seeks in such a serene setting. In essence, Hussain Sagar remains an integral part of Hyderabad's charm, offering a blend of history, tranquility, and recreational activities. While it showcases the city's grandeur and provides a serene escape, steps toward preservation and maintenance are necessary to ensure its allure for future generations.
