Unity is a modern hotel but also a so-called “aparthotel" which primarily caters to a relatively young category of tourists and digital nomads that stay for longer periods. Like most folks, I want to get as much as possible for what I spend on my accommodation. And much of what Unity offers is really thought-through. And even though I am I not the typical guest age-wise, I am sure it hits home with most of the demographic Unity is trying to attract. There’s a gym, café, lounge, laundry and even a rooftop patio. The location is good and provides excellent access to public transportation, restaurants, cafés and supermarkets. Unity is also really close to several gorgeous waterways and just a short ferry ride to Söder, arguably one of Stockholm’s most visit-worthy districts. I stayed a few nights in one of Unity’s “lofts” and from the photos they have on their website, it looked a whole lot bigger than it is in reality. I don’t have any issues with close spaces, but my room was definitely not for guests that suffer from even mild claustrophobia – or, for those that demand really good air circulation. Even with the window wide open, the air in the bedroom loft was way too warm to provide a good night’s sleep in. Perhaps there was something wrong with the ventilation system. Also, with all the investments that Unity has clearly made in converting an old factory into a handsome, modern hotel, why on earth are the beds so uncomfortable? I stay at 25-30 hotels per year all over the world. The bed in room 1111 was one of the least comfy I’ve experienced in a long, long time. Which makes absolutely no sense to me. Why save on something that is so important? A thicker mattress pad would easily have made it easier to fall asleep on my side and not wake up with sore hips. Another area in desperate need of tweaking is the café and lounge area. While the team working there were super-friendly and helpful, the music was ridiculously loud and made it hard to have a normal conversation during breakfast. Not to mention trying to work there, which was literally impossible, even with noise cancelling headphones on. I know that Unity has a dedicated co-working space. That’s part of their USP. I also get that there’s a hip-factor to consider, but I seriously doubt that anybody would complain about the music being too low at 08:30 am. Overall, Unity is a pretty good alternative for most folks that want a nice location with a lot of amenities. But there certainly are a few things that I think the management should adjust to further improve the guest experience. Recommendable (if bed comfort isn't important)

Cleanliness is a big issue. My first room was super dirty and I reported it to your reception staff who promised to take care of it. I came back in the evening and nothing was done. Night reception staff offered me another room which was very nice. Unfortunately housekeeping doesn't seem to exists, nobody ever came to freshen up the room. Staff is so so, some a friendly, others very good in explaining why they can't do stuff. Overall, it's a nice hotel but management sucks.

We spent 3 nights and they were perfect. It’s half way between a hotel and a stylish hostel. Staff were very kind and helpful in everything we needed: they prepared a breakfast for us at 4 a.m and helped us to get a taxi. Public transport is very close and the building is quiet and with all you need.

I have stayed at Unity in Hammarby Sjöstad for 3 months, and I can honestly say it’s been perfect. The staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Martin who is an extremely accommodating manager. The rooms are a decent size, and the decor is lovely. Plenty of storage space for a long stay, and it’s great being able to be self-sufficient with the kitchen. I have used the gym many times, and the equipment is great. I am nearly always the only person working out! I also have worked in the uWork office every day, and it is beyond impressive. The facilities are top class, and I love that I can make my calls in privacy. It has also been a great way to network with other international workers. I can’t fault Unity, and would highly recommend it as a place to stay for anyone - long or short term.

Really comfortable stay in a nice part of Stockholm; easy access from the airport by train and quick walk into Sodermalm. I had some meetings in the city centre which was quick and easy by metro. The day pass for the Co-working space (which was super cool, really comfortable, quiet and spacious) allowed me to stay in Stockholm longer, had this not been there, I would’ve had to take an earlier flight back to London.

I stayed in three rooms over a period of two months. One of the rooms was not cleaned properly but the other two were perfect. Very modern and well equipped. Atelier loft is spacious and gets lots of light, I recommend this one the most. All the staff were amazing, welcoming and friendly with the exception of one receptionist that made a point of not letting me get breakfast even when it was almost all laid out and I was in a rush to go to work, and who was also not especially friendly or polite in general either. The food was good, the gym was well equipped and the location/area is pretty good. A major downside was the price, it's a bit too high for what you get.. if you want to stay longer term make sure to book more than 31 days and it unlocks a reduced rate for your stay. If you need to extend your stay, don't book by the website but email them to get your "long term resident rate" I fell into this trap and overpaid heavily... Final bugbear, the wi-fi annoyingly cuts out repeatedly and is not password protected (not secure) this made WhatsApp calls and video streaming a pain and required the use of VPN for secure/work related stuff. I would still recommend this to anybody looking to relocate to Sweden or wanting to mix work with travel (there are offices upstairs). It's still a relatively new place and I'm sure a bunch of the things I listed above will improve with time.

No suitable for longer stay as advertised, too expensive for the low quality provided Unfortunately, I can't say I recommend staying at the hotel. There are several things that we did not like: - we were told that if we do check in by app, we will get notification earlier when the room is ready, before the official check in time, but that didn't happen; we waited in the lobby for some time but then tried to check at the reception again before official check in time and we were able to check in there and it turned out our room was already ready but no such message appeared in the app - the app is additionally quite useless as you get normal cards and don't need electronic key + when I messaged the reception through the app to get fresh pillow case, I never got reply - we waited 3 days for fresh pillow (asked at the reception twice the first day, then again on the second plus message at the app and only got it on third day when we showed our irritation with the situation) - for a hotel that promotes long stays, like a week or month, they don't change sheets and towels often enough, we stayed for 5 nights and it was hard to get 1 new and fresh pillow case - the bed sheets itself were too short for a mattress we had, you couldn't fold it under the mattress and it was being pulled with every move which meant you were basically sleeping on bare mattress which is very unpleasant and unhygienic - the bed was situated in such a way that you could only get in bed from one side, surrounded by wall, window and shelves from 3 other sides, I guess it's fine when you sleep alone but for second person it means you need to step over the other person which is very uncomfortable - although there is small kitchen in the room with plates, glasses etc., there was no appliance to clean the used utensils - there was soap but no sponge or anything similar, so again can't image staying longer than until you run out of clean plates - the room itself felt like a prison cell, all gray with limited light, can't imagine staying there for whole day and for example work from there, even corridor had a feeling of a prison corridor + plus floor in the room was dirty so you couldn't walk without shoes on - breakfast is very limited: you get sandwich + yoghurt/fruit + pastry, + coffee/tea/water, every day it's the same, I guess it's ok for a day or two, but eating every morning the same for a week (or longer) is not something you feel like home or a hotel, usually hotel breakfast feel better than home because you have variety, but not here Bathroom was nice: large shelf for cosmetics, large mirror, walk in shower, large enough heater in accessable place to hang wet towels

Terrible service. So many things were disappointing. If I could give it a zero I would. Might be okay for a short stay but absolutely depressing if you want to do a long stay. There were dirty dishes when we checked in. The were stains on the wall behind the bed. The staff were never on the same page. We got completely opposite answers when asked most questions. They were always friendly to you most of the time but entirely unhelpful. The payment was very hard to track. When we were sent out final invoice we would have paid about SEK 5000 more than we were meant to. Upon bringing this up 3-4 times we were repeated send wrong invoices with even higher prices. And finally we were told it wouldn't matter because we could always be refunded after we paid. In the end I had to sit and do the math with the staff to actually work out the right amount to send on the invoice. Which i think is pretty unprofessional. Again half the staff were friendly and the other half were very standoff-ish, would fight me on the weirdest things (like if I wanted fresh towels or needed to more toilet paper), very unhelpful. The cleaning staff that came every week were very polite and efficient, the rooms were cleaned well every week after we moved in. The relief we felt on check out was euphoric.

We booked a room, incl bunk bed. That wasn't the case when we arrived. They added a spare bed in our room, but that made a lot of noise. Also the regular bed had a very poor quality. So we didn't really sleep. we complained the day after and agreed (with Booking) to cancel. After 5 months we still didn't get our refund. This is really bad service.

Completely fine. The definition of average but in a good way. Nothing wrong with it but nothing memorable either, and that’s what you want for this price.

Friendly staff and clean rooms are a plus. Heavy doors and large steps make it unsuitable for older persons or those with mobility issues.

Had very clean studio and the place felt quiet that night. Breakfast can be improved - wasn't very diverse or plentiful.

I don’t really understand the bad reviews! They made me hesitant to book but I received a good price through booking.com so took a chance. I had a studio and it was modern, clean, tidy and had everything I needed. I stayed for 8 nights. The staff are friendly and the location is peaceful. Really good supermarket 5 minute walk away and metro station 15 mins. Would stay again.

Coming to stockholm and having a day in between meetings, Unity had everything I needed for a great stay. Rooms where spacious and with great functional furniture's, i did a meal in the kitchen which had every needed cutlery and pots. Bed was great and clean, reception staff was very helpfull and accomadating. worked a day in there Co-working area which is probably the greatest room I ever worked in, didn't use there meeting rooms but they had great sound protected phonebooths too.

Nice, clean and peaceful place to relax and have a coffee or to work a little in your computer. The coffee is very average, the tea is good 👍

Spent 3 nights at Unity. Very comfortable studio, modern and clean. The kitchen was well equipped. The staff is nice and will listen if you have any ask. The neighbourhood is modern, quiet and mostly made of families. Supermarket 5min by walk and metro is 1 tram stop away.

Awesome hotel with good service and unusual but well designed hotel rooms. Awesome breakfast. Easy connection to city Center. Good option to stay for several days.
