First off I'm German (from Munich, Bavaria). As such there are good and bad things about the Alt Berlin where the positives outweigh in the end. Who would I recommend it for? Friends who are looking to enjoy some drinks together and people who want to get a first taste of German drinks and cuisine. Who isn't this for? Picky people who expect top notch cuisine and who prefer a quiet place. The food was above average, although it is not what I would call 'traditional' or 'authentic'. The Gin and Tonics were spot on however! Overall, it felt a bit too crowded, too smelly, and tried to be too many things at the same time without excelling at anything.

Nice chill place. Friendly waitors. Huge portions for affordable price. I'd wish they had option with smaller portions for people like me. Good food. I would personally prefer fries over potato salad, but it was good too. Tea/decaf coffee not available.

Traditional German food like sauerkraut and sausages. The Schweinhaxse is excellent and served in an impressive huge portion size. Only a few tables so booking is recommended. OK selection of German beer and weiss beer.

Everything is good about this place. Simple and robust meny. Cozy interior. Interesting beer assortment and classic (big) portion of German food.

The portions were generous and the service was great! However the food is so heavy it was hard for us and maybe go there if you are prepared for this type of food! :) We left with a big box for home hehe

There was a queue when we arrived. It was around 12.30. But I also saw that 3 guys went in without caring about the queue. When I asked about it, the security said that they were on the list. However, I didn't see that security checked any list at all. They just take in their friends, which makes the place bad quality!

Very very nice and authentic German food. Ordered some sausages with sauerkraut and beers. Sat outside in the nice autumn sun. Very nice place with great staff. Highly recommend.

Great atmosphere as soon as you come in, cleverly designed space, wonderful and friendly staff, as well as an amazing beer collection! 🍻👌The only off issue I had with was the food. It sadly did not impress me at all. But I had the sellerieschnitzel, so maybe that's on me.

This restaurant is extremely good. Great service (not always a Swedish strength), excellent food beautifully served. The beer is pretty good too. Prices for Uppsala are competetive edging toward the better value end, but like most others you'll need a mortgage to buy a bottle of wine.

Enjoyed the place! In general, has a variety of schnitzels and sausages with sides. The cuisine is a bit heavy personally for me. Liked the interior.
